Excellent quality ingredients, fresh-baked bread, and consistently tasty sandwiches. Highly recommend.

I had the Hulkster at the time, and it was so satisfying with each bite. The staff were super chill and their vibe felt very welcoming. There is a bathroom that you must ask for a key to. Once 1:30 rolled around, I was excited to try my sandwich given the great reviews, then came 1:40, then 1:50, and I did not have my sandwich until around 1:55. I worked in a sandwich shop for 3 years, so I know sometimes a wait is unavoidable and can recall dealing with rude customers, so I did not approach the staff regarding the wait. They were trying their best to accommodate the orders. However-- 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, I think, is a little excessive. In the end, my sandwiches were spectacular, genuinely well crafted, and met (maybe even surpassed) my expectations. When I got back to my car, I noticed the worker (owner?) gave me a full sandwich despite me ordering half. I wasn't sure if this was purposeful as means of saying "our bad", or just a mistake, but I will say it left me in better spirits. If you have some extra time to kill, with friends etc., this is a must try. However, if you are on ANY sort of time restriction, I would not recommend stopping here. I'm sure this is not always the case, but as a stop on a long drive, I did not consider an extra 45 minutes for a sandwich. If the owners are reading this, I truly mean well and hope you know a long wait is a sign of success. Growth is inevitable!

So finally, on my way to Auburn last Saturday, I had time to stop and try some of their amazing food. I was greeted as I walked into this quaint mini market. Everyone was friendly and talking to me. It has been family owned for decades and they made me feel so comfortable, but I was not there to shop around. I was there to try the food goods created by the smoker and whoever does this delicious array of foods. There were many options to choose from in their heated display case. Burgers, breakfast burritos, brisket sandwiches, ribs... I think there were a couple more options, but I couldn't decide on one. So I went with some smoked pork ribs and a brisket sandwich. It was $28 & change. It felt a little on the expensive side for 4 ribs and a sandwich. However... it was damn delicious!! When I got home, I did add a little salt, pepper, & mayo in the brisket sandwich... and then for me, it was fire! The smoked pork ribs were soooo goooood with the dry rub that was on them. Tender and juicy ribs... mmmm! I'm not sure if sauced ones were available, but I really liked these the way they were. I look forward to coming back here to try the other lunch & breakfast items... as well as chatting with everyone that works here!!! I'll be sure to capture more photos next visit!

It is rather tiny on the inside with only three tables of two. So if you are wanting to sit and eat, you need to be a small party, or take your food with you to go. Thankfully there was plenty of room when we arrived for our party of three. Their decor is cute with plenty o goose to view, as well as their baked goods. Since it was our maiden voyage here we did ask the nice gal who was at the register for a couple of recommendations which we took. The hubster tried the Ham and Peach Grilled Cheese, the MIL did the Pick Two which included a half Rosemary Chicken Sandwich and the Strawberry Poppyseed salad, I also got the Pick Two and chose half Citrus Club Sandwich and the Street Corn Cesar salad. Everything was made fresh to order and was incredibly tasty! The hubster and I also shared a Cherry Limeade Summer Sipper which was divine. We decided we could not leave with out taking a few goodies with us for later. So we bought a Lemon Bar, a Blackberry Cheesecake Bar, and a Chocolate Sea Salt Shortbread. We don't venture to Rocklin on a regular basis, but when we do, it's nice to know where to go and to support a small business like this. Give them a try. You will be impressed too!

Best known for their delicious pies, but also fresh food, produce, burgers, fries, and shakes. It's always popular and busy, you may not always find seating, and be warned that it can get quite hot for outdoor seating, but also you could be mauled by flies with indoor seating that are attracted to the fruit and sweet pies. It is sometimes best enjoyed on the go. I love the triberry cobbler pie, always fresh and sweet, but I really love their burgers which are always served fresh, juicy, and grilled perfectly. The fries are also always served piping hot and well seasoned and the shakes are delicious and can't miss. It's part pie shop, part deli, part market, making it a great grab-and-go stop for a road trip. Just be prepared--it gets busy as it attracts a lot of tourists! If you're passing through, it's definitely worth the stop, especially for whatever seasonal pie they're serving.
