Ravellos was the best place to host my party of 75, the room with the window view of M St. was breath taking. Our events managers Emily was a rockstar she was so nice and caring she even went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you Emily!!!! We had a private bartender named Joey, he was very skilled at he's mixed drinks making them instantly and they were delicious! Joey was also very helpful changing out the trash 3-4 times while we were there. We had 2 different live bands. Honestly, save your money and find another Italian place in the area. We came here on a Sunday, so paid dinner prices as it was a weekend. We got chicken parm ($~16), fettuccine Alfredo (~$16), and spaghetti with Alfredo and sausage (~$19). Spaghetti sauce change cost +$2.50 and +$2.50 for sausage... The sauce is WATERED DOWN. No taste, no flavor, which is crazy since they drowned all the pasta dishes with sauce. They claim that their sauce is homemade, but store bought has more flavor than this. The chicken in the chicken parm was so tiny and extremely peppery. You expect more, especially with weekend pricing. Seasoning on that was uneven, and "side veggies" were sad. Pasta had no flavor. Other dishes in my group were watered down too. There weren't a lot of people here. Parking easy and not a busy plaza. Dim lighting inside and random Italian music plays inside. They try to be fancy-looking but it's confusing as they use coca-cola glasses, butter strips, and inconsistent cheap napkins. Waitstaff was very nice at least, and accommodating. I was so disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I heard so many good things about this place. Our server was sweet. Our coffee didn't even smell like coffee, it was extremely watered down. I ordered crepés and they brought them over to me and told me there were no strawberries and the crepés had no filling. I had to ask them to warm them up. We also ordered French toast and it was previously frozen and still cold. I wanted pineapple mimosas and they brought us orange mimosas. Then the waitress said they made a fresh pot of coffee that was a little stronger and brought us fresh coffee. This time, still very watered down, but at least is smelled like coffee. I wish I could give zero stars, husband and I decided to try this place out after having a long day in this nice town Merced, I tried posole, first everything was amazing I got a hair on it, decided not to make a big deal about it , but it I really got disguised I still eat it , our server was ok she didn't really check on us constantly and we needed napkins had to grab some from my purse , if you ask me if I would go back , I would say No. This place needs a lot to grow , it's a nice restaurant for the type of food and service they provide . I ordered 2 meals for delivery from this restaurant. One thing I can say is I appreciate that there is free delivery on any of the items. Also, the man who took my order on the phone was very friendly. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo & the Chicken Bacon Melt. The Chicken Alfredo was okay; the sauce was very thin and bland.. not much flavor & seemed to not have much cheese. The chicken on top was seasoned well. The Chicken Bacon Melt tasted great! However, it was only MAYBE a centimeter bigger than the sandwich you would get at a fast food place, if even that. I would definitely say that the food was OKAY, but definitely not worth the expensive price I paid for them. I didn't feel like I got my money's worth at all. read more

We just got married here shotgun/covid style and Devin (owner) is seriously the best. She took care of everything and I would trust her 1000% to do it all again. She knew exactly what I wanted. We came in for lunch today and was greeted with a smile and seated instantly. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and brought our drinks immediately. I ordered the Tuscany soup and a Caesar salad, my husband ordered a bacon cheese burger cooked medium. My soup was delicious however, when the burger and salad was delivered we were speechless. The burger was about as thick as a sheet of paper and completely burnt, absolutely horrific and barely edible. My salad was just ok and again, the chicken was paper thin. It's our opinion they should absolutely replace the cook. After spending $75 for a couple of glasses of wine and terrible food, we won't be back. Which is sad because the ambiance and service was wonderful but the food is terrible. Disappointing. read more

Just had my beautiful wedding at Ravello's Grand Ballroom. It exceeded our expectations, and it was reasonably priced! Devin, the owner, did a superb job decorating the room and tables. And the photographs taken by Devin were perfect! Liz was also amazing. We communicated our plans and ideas mostly with her. She was always so kind and available for any questions and/or concerns. And the food, well, so delicious! We upgraded to chicken fettuccine and chicken parmesan. There were guests who went up for seconds and even thirds! It was such a magical night. I just attended a reception at Ravello's and I was impressed with the venue. I loved the lighting, table settings and centerpieces too. The food was terrible though and they ran out so not all the guests were able to be served. Courtland and I just had our wedding last Saturday. When I say it was the most beautiful day of my life, I mean it. The venue in general is really nice but Devin went above and beyond with decorating and making everything, every detail SO perfect. Even the planning was smooth because Devin KNOWS what she's doing. It's an okay restaurant. Very good with events. When it comes to the food everything is hot and feels like it came out of the oven for a certain amount of time. And I often have to wait for it to cool down a bit before eating. Even the bread they give you is hot too. Not bad but could be better. read more

I had high hopes for this place. I didn't like DiCiccos at all and was hoping this rendition would be better. Turns out the menu is is almost exactly the same. Bread was just ok. Found out it's baked daily not fresh throughout the day. Outside was hard, not in a good way. They took forever to take our order despite no one being in the restaurant. Decided to order the Cannelloni, low and behold they were out. Tried the lasagna which was terribly salty. I don't even think I made it through half of it. I saw Spumoni on the menu and decided that would be safe as it's prepackaged. But you guessed they were out. My friends had the chicken piccata and a pizza which were also not good. Upset I spent $16 on lasagna when Stouffers would have Ben worlds better. Disappointed. read more

This review is going to be for the brunch only...I should have taken pics of the food for this but I wasn't thinking....oh well...so I had made a reservation for noon today and it was pretty painless...when I got to the restaurant I realized I didn't need one...there was only 3 other tables seated...very empty which is usually a bad sign and I was concerned that I was going to regret my decision to come here...However, the ambiance is really nice...you can sit inside or outside and anyone that remembers this place from back when Big Bubbas was here, you will remember the tree in the middle of the room...that is still standing tall and theres cute lighting fixtures mixed with country vibe on the tablecloths and country music playing...not a definitive understanding of what the establishment is going for especially when it is an italian restaurant...prices are pretty reasonable...the menu is fairly limited but decent...bottomless mimosas are good price at $15....I ordered the waffles and it came with bacon and eggs...one friend ordered the crepes and the other the egg skillet...they all looked appealing and both of my friends liked their food...my eggs were a little rubbery and slightly overcooked but decent and the waffle was tough in some areas...coffee and oj was good....the downside to this was that even though there weren't alot of people there, they ran out of champagne and had to substitute with what they called a peach champagne...both of my friends are drinkers and they said this was definitely not a good champagne, in fact, they said they would go so far as to say it was a sparkling wine...not bubbly like champagne and it changed the taste of the mimosa...they were only able to do 2 flutes because they didn't really like the taste of the peach "champagne"...I think if you are going to offer bottomless mimosas only one day a week then you should make sure and have enough champagne...and with the amount of people or lack thereof, this should have never been an issue...I'm not sure if I will come back ...I think this place has the potential to do a really good brunch but changes are definitely needed... read more

My sister had her wedding here on September 16,2023. The decoration was beautiful, and the bartenders working that night were wonderful. The service we got from the wedding corridnator Emily was ok. To start off we paid for 215 guest to get served, but by the time it was table eights turn to get served our guest had to wait 10 minutes because there wasn't enough made, on top of that they didn't have enough food and were scraping the sides of the pans. We paid $21.50 a plate, 20 people didn't even show, and we were already running out of food, that's not right. What happened to the rest? A few of my guest were racially profiled, we are a Mexican family and one of our tios has a heavy accent he was trying to ask one of the servers a question and she was being so rude but when my mom talked to her, her voice changed completely. Another issue is that we paid a pretty penny for the champagne toast. Apparently they had an issue with staffing and Emily was the only one working so it took over 2 hours to get our champagne out so by the time all the guest recieved it, the bride and grooms champagne was warm. The lack of staffing caused a lot of issues. We have been contacting Emily, but my sister is getting no response back. We waited over a month to hear from them. read more

Stopped here on our way home from a wedding to meet a friend for lunch and so happy we did. Food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive. We had their beef raviolis, chicken fettuccini and their buttermilk bliss pizza. Soooo good. The cooking is some good homemade food. It did not taste or look like stuff pre cooked or out of a can. I wanted to like this place. My first thought after taking a bite was, "this is Lean Cuisine." Portions were tiny. A chicken Parmesan entree should contain more than a single, thin tenderloin of chicken. We had to stop and get burgers on the way home to fill up. The food itself was just so-so, the alfredo sauce was completely flavorless and the bread was stale. I don't understand why none of the Italian restaurants in Merced can make a decent alfredo sauce.
