Raven cut seven inches off of my hair yesterday, and I love it! I had been growing out my hair for a million years, and had the same general shape for at least a decade. During the summer, I started to think I wanted a change, but I wanted to make sure I would like the results. As with any decision I make, I researched the heck out of it. I spent HOURS Googling and on Instagram. My searches eventually led me to Raven Row Salon on Instagram, and then to Raven. I scheduled an appointment with Raven six weeks in advance - the furthest in advance I have ever scheduled a cut - and asked to be on the waitlist in case an appointment opened up. I got a call on Friday for an appointment from the waitlist on Saturday! When I arrived, they offered me a drink. They had mimosas! That was the perfect thing before a potentially dramatic-change haircut. Based on Raven's Instagram, I was confident she could do what I hoped. I showed her a few pictures and she instantly got it. She suggested we take a few inches off to get more volume and make the cut a little more modern. And wow! I LOVE my haircut and have gotten so many compliments! I've been going to Raven for many years and can say my hair keeps getting better and better. She is so talented and I'm sure her crew is just as good. I just know that she's in high demand so best to pre-book your next appt. with her. I'm kinda a no frills gal, but recently have decided to get my hair cut by Christine at Raven Row. I am THRILLED in my choice to go to the salon, and also to get Christine to cut my hair. She really understood my need for a no-fuss haircut, and gave me something that looks wonderful when styled but also lends itself well to a ponytail. Christine totally treated me: I left the salon with the cutest style I've ever had. My hair is thin and straight, but Christine styled me with what I call "cool girl waves". Ya know, the ones you see in all the pictures in all the magazines... I didn't think my hair could do that, but it did, and it ever stayed for the next day. I haven't colored my hair in 10 years, but I'm thinking of going back to get Christine to boliage (sp?) my hair as I've seen some of her beautiful color work on her Instagram, @hair.by.tine . I had the extreme delight of being a client of Tiffany Dyan in Indianapolis for many years. Not only was she a very pleasant and smart person to talk with, she regarded her craft of hairstyling with the utmost respect. I was never unhappy with her cuts. She encouraged clients to come back any time before their next appointment if they needed something fixed, like the bangs that always seem to grow faster. I am nearly 70 years old, have sterling silver hair (never use the term "gray") in a cut that is short and easy to care for. Tiffany knew I liked to be a bit daring, so one day, with my permission, she put a purple streak through the front of my hair. I have not felt that high or happy about something since I got a tattoo when I was 52. I was nervous about the change...both change in stylist and weather (no offense Texas). My first appointment was a balayage consultation and I felt so welcoming and comfortable talking to Raven. Raven explained the process thoroughly. My next service was such an amazing experience. The cut and color was great and my hair feels healthy. Was in an abusive relationship which ended up with me not having my phone in order to call to cancel or reschedule my appointment. I am now working through a court case because I am no longer able to talk with this person . I reached out to Raven Row salon to either get a refund back for missing my appointment or see if I could use the funds towards my other upcoming appointment in August. Instead of helping in anyway they told me I should probably find another salon . I do not recommend going here. If your life is in shambles in anyway, they don't care. I have had my hair styled by different salons in Austin. I'm not the one to jump around, but I was always looking for that one stylists that understood the look I was going. I found Raven before she opened her own place and have been going to her ever since. I love the way she styles my hair and I love her new salon. Tiffany Dyan is hands down the best hairstylist I have ever been too (and I have gone to many different ones across multiple states). My hair is long, thick, and hard to handle, yet she is always completely patient and thorough. She is complimentary and sweet. I came in to Raven Row Salon initially because I stopped a woman on the street and asked her where she had her balayage done, and then came in as soon as I could! Rae did the most amazing job at giving my very grown in roots the blonde color I wanted to achieve. I have to say, I've found a wonderful stylist! Rae Allen at Raven Roe is absolutely amazing! She makes me feel beautiful after each visit. She listens to my concerns and wants about my hair, she explains each technique to me, she shows me how to style my hair and I've never walked away from one appointment unhappy. I've been going to Ryan for almost 3 years now. He does the best bayalage on my stubborn, thick, dark hair. I live 4 hours away and if I can't make the trip he happily gives me my hair toner formula so that I can have someone do it back home. I have super thick curly hair and he cuts it perfectly. Wow super impressed with Taylor did an awesome job on my highlights I was a little brassy be for I saw him, but he fixed me right up!!!!!!!!!
