The spot is small with three tables, but it seems that most people take their orders to go anyway. You can see them cooking your food, which I like and food is cooked when you order. I ordered the laulau plate. The tossed salad was fresh and crunchy w/ dressing on it. At first look, I thought the mac salad would be dry and bland, but it was good! The laulau had a lot of pork in it. I was hoping for more luau leaves and a piece of fish, but it was still delicious. My husband had the short ribs and liked the flavor of it. We also ordered a few Spam musubis for our breakfast as we drive back home and was surprised that they make it with two slices of Spam. Ana's Osland Grill is a great hole in the wall local spot. I'd say their musubi and otai (pineapple and watermelon drink) are the most amazing things I tried on the menu. Me and a friend arrived after a family of 4 and before another group of 2 people. We ordered the short rib plate, chicken katsu bbq plate, musubi and 2 otais (~$65 in total) to dine in and it took a while for us to get our food as they prepared it after we ordered. Unfortunately, the short rib and bbq chicken tasted very tough and overcooked, despite being freshly prepared. The macaroni was also a little too peppery for me. It looks like a family run small place but don't let its small venue fool you, the flavors pack a good punch and the fish especially was delicious! The chicken was a just slightly on the tough side but the flavor was still good. Their service was friendly and the food was made right when ordered. The location is easy to access and the dinning room is humbly small. If you're looking for fast food just place your order ahead because they do cook it fresh so don't come in expecting your food right away. Remember they cook the meat fresh! Tried something new and was disappointed. With tip, it was a $50 meal for what would be $30 at Hawaiian Bros. I rather support a local business but this did not meet the bar. The bbq chicken plate: rice was wet, bbq chicken tasted off- the sauce seemed okay but the chicken itself tasted funny. Macaroni salad was par and the side salad with ranch was not good and over dressed. The pork plate was similar with many of the above notes, and the pork itself was under seasoned. The best part of the meal that redeemed a lot of the visit was the musubi. They almost forgot it too. Way better than Hawaiian bros and on par for the ones I had in Hawaii. I highly recommend it! Coconut shrimp is from a bag and they are quite rude. Strange place here lol. I came here to get authentic hawaiian food, because I thought that's what they did, and I ordered the coconut shrimp mostly out of curiosity of what the hawaiian version of this was. It was the second most expensive lunch plate at 17.99. As I was sitting there questioning how it could cost that much, I saw them pour a freezer bag of coconut shrimp into the fryer I was like, no way. So then I went up and asked if they made the coconut shrimp here, and they confirmed it is the only thing on their menu that they don't make. I tried to be very polite and just clarified that that's fine, but I thought it would be homemade, and I would not have paid $18 if I had known. She told me to talk to the other lady, who proceeded to be very rude. She kept saying "so you don't want it cause it's from a bag" like that's not a good enough reason to politely decline when I was under the impression it was $18 due to authenticity. When I explained that, she said "how would you know? are you Hawaiian?" I don't have to be anything other than not dumb to know that a freezer bag of wholesale premade food is not Hawaiian. Even after confirming that it was pre-made, she still questioned me about how I would know, since I wasn't Hawaiian. I thought that was really rude. Again, I was very polite the whole time, just honest about what I thought I was paying for. In the end she, by definition, nickel-and-dimed me. She spent like 10 minutes busting out the calculator so she could charge me for everything that came on the plate that wasn't shrimp- to the very penny. So in the she refunded me $11, and I paid $7 for $2 mac and cheese and wet lettuce that I did not touch. Doesn't really add up, and as someone that grew up in the restaurant industry, she could have easily comped the meal, but instead chose to add every cent of limp lettuce up. Overall, I understand having something on your menu that isn't authentic, but when that's your whole thing, maybe it should be over with the kids food, not $18, off the menu entirely, or at the very least, communicated before purchasing. And aside from all that, I felt a little conned, definitely felt like I got nickel-and-dimed, and the lady was very condescending. How do you go from confirming that it's from a pre-made frozen bag to saying "how would you know what's Hawaiian? Are you from Hawaii?" Just very rude, and I want to stress that I was very kind and reasonable, she just wasn't happy that I wasn't happy with $18 frozen shrimp from an "authentic Hawaiian" spot. read more

I kept missing this place on the weekends. I'd always try to go on a Saturday and forget they're 4pm-8pm. I decided to brave the rush hour traffic from Dallas over to Euless during the week. It was totally worth it. There's a nice little parking lot so no stress to find or pay for parking. The inside is a little rough around the edges but don't let it deter you (also don't get it twisted, it's clean. It's just not bright and bubbly like other places). That's how you know it's good. They have 3 small tables inside and 1 or 2 outside. I got my BBQ Chicken plate to go. It was like $13.99. It came with white rice, salad, and Mac. I love the chicken! It's not overly sweet like other Hawaiian Places. It almost tastes like Trinidadian stew chicken with a small twist. The Mac was absolutely fantastic. I was so tired trying other chain Hawaiian food places and their Mac was consistently overpowered by garlic powder or salt. This was not at all. I could actually eat it and not be scared that my blood pressure would go through the roof. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. My eyes are set on the Kalua Pork! Food is 10/10 best locco mocco I've ever had and that's the dish I try anytime trying a new Hawaiian place. Chicken Katsu is amazing. The service is great some of the hardest working and nicest women work there. I was tossing up between 3 stars and 4 stars, if I could give 3.5 I would. We were in the area and decided to try this place out for dinner. It was a cold night and the restaurant only has 4 tables all were taken, one with a laptop set up which was never sat at the whole time we were there, I presume it was the owners. On arrival it is just a two person job manning the restaurant, we didn't really get welcomed as we walked into the restaurant. It gave us time to read the menu and decide what we wanted but it was kind of awkward as we were ready to order but no one was paying attention to us. Ordering was a little difficult as the lady didn't understand me. It ended up being what i thought was quite expensive for a counter service meal, it was $30 for a lunch plate, mixed plate, side and 2 sodas. There was no real customer service and we waited 30 minutes for our food, and there were only two other couples in the restaurant, it would have been nice if the lady had given us an estimate on how long our food was going to take. Also as it was a cold night, it was chilly waiting in the restaurant. We were already starving when we walked in and weren't expecting it to take soo long. It was crazy because no food was leaving the counter. One of the ladies seemed overwhelmed as she had a lot to cook. As it took soo long for our food I assumed if was all being cooked from scratch. We ordered the chicken katsu/coconut shrimp mixed plate and bbq chicken lunch plate as well as the spam musbusi. Most of the food was made fresh, however I saw the lady throw the coconut shrimp in the deep fryer and it came out of a commercial premade frozen coconut shrimp box - this was very disappointing to see I was paying money for frozen food - the shrimp did taste good, but going to a mom and pops place like this is was expecting it fresh. I saw her making the chicken katsu which was from scratch but the shrimp wasn't unfortunately. I also heard something get thrown on the grill which was obviously frozen, I don't know what it was, perhaps the 'fresh fish'. When our food finally came out, 30 minutes later, the food was good and enjoyable but wasn't really anything special. I did want to try the loco moco but my husband doesn't like gravy and wasn't keen on the idea of eggs and rice together. So our dishes were probably more Americanised than Polynesian. The bbq chicken was nice, and I enjoyed the sauce giving the rice flavour. The dipping sauce for the katsu/shrimp was nice. I enjoyed the macaroni salad and mixed greens salad. The dishes were big, even for a lunch plate (which is available all day) - were we both stuffed at the end. I feel perhaps I'm being a little harsh with my review but to round up, the customer service could have been better, thirty minutes seems a little much to wait for our food and the food was enjoyable but nothing amazing. read more
