This restaurant is off the beaten path and outta the way. The building is nice and new. The restaurant is clean and has an amazing balcony. One side you have great views. Off to the side are a bunch of helicopter pads for the tour company that shares the building. The food is nothing crazy. I don't know if make the trek just for the food for sure. The French onion soup was okay. The bread didn't sop up the soup and it wasn't hot. The flavor was decent. The Cobb salad is fresh with lots of veggies and they will give you any choice of dressing they have on hand. The buffalo burgers were ok. Mine was a bit dry because it was over cooked even though I asked for medium rare. The side available was chips. The fish tacos were okay. It comes with three. Two were well loaded the third not so much. We ended the meal with a scoop of fireweed and honey. It was fun and unique to try. Again. Nothing crazy worth the drive. read more

Stopped in after my dogsledding/glacier tour experience to enjoy a gorgeous day on their deck. Had a pineapple hard cider and their loaded macaroni and cheese. I asked for a recommendation from my waitress and she said the loaded macaroni and cheese was excellent and she was right. The portion size was huge and I had two other meals from it. The cider was just sweet enough and tasted good. It was from a local company in Anchorage and I would have gotten it again. The deck was a nice place to take in the beautiful mountains and glaciers and also to see the helicopters taking off and returning from tours. Their menu isn't huge but there is enough on the menu to satisfy most people. I was tempted to get their wings, but the loaded mac and cheese was a good choice, tasty, and very filling. read more

It's the only food option for the lodge, so it definitely could be worse and still be turning a profit. It wasn't terrible, wasn't amazing, it landed right in the middle. Pros: The view cannot be beat. And the fact that they use all local farm-to-table fair is a definite plus. After a long day of exploring the glacier, a plate full of fresh veggies was much appreciated. Cons: Small selection. Expensive. Service was quite slow for how few tables there were. We would have gotten more beer had they asked if we needed a refill! The lunch menu is mostly salads and cold sandwiches. I wanted something warm, but settled for a BLT and a side salad (instead of potato chips). If you're at the Lodge for a tour or to stay, it's a perfectly decent restaurant to grab a bite. You just will pay a bit and not be super wow'd. Perhaps if I'm ever back I'll come for dinner, as the menu online looks tasty! read more

Very disappointing. The menu is limited, maybe 8-10 items, all very bland and not worth the price. Very noisy, but if dining on a helicopter pad is your thing, giddy up. This place is actually a resort at the end of a long, beautiful road, so they have a built in clientele for the restaurant. The vegan bowls were pointless concoctions, the burger was meh and the mac and cheese was just a plate of pasta with cheese sauce. May I recommend a spice rack. The service was dismal. It would've helped if the person flapping his jaws all over the dining room, helped the single server. It might gave given the server time to get a bandage on their hand wound. If you're planning a delicious meal, check around. It's Alaska, and there are better options for your tastebuds and wallet. read more

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants and it had an excellent menu. ownership changed and the restaurant has really gone downhill in the past year. It is now basically a pub menu and not even good pub food. The waitress was in a coverall, there were no dessert options, and the food was mediocre at best. I'm a local who used to bring family and friends there for the views but now the food is just an embarrassment. maybe the new owners should hire a good chef. read more

wow! wow! wow! this was an AMAZING experience in every way. the food was incredible, the views are stunning, and the staff was so friendly! we had an appetizer and we're so happy we came back the next day for a full meal. this restaurant blew our expectations out of the water. hats off! read more

Excellent food. I had the salmon with Brussels and risotto. It was absolutely breathtaking enjoying a local beer while looking out at the mountains and watching tour helicopters flying in and out of the landing pads near the restaurant. High quality service as well with attentive staff. read more

I rarely write bad reviews but I left the Raven's Perch Restaurant very upset. After arriving, I wanted to love this place! My husband and I had heard great things and, being hungry, made the long drive out to be treated rudely, rushed and served subpar food. The staff is only nice to you if you're drinking (I'm pregnant, my husband was driving) so that was strike 1. I'm a vegetarian and there were no options for me but I'm very easy to please, so I ordered essentially a panini without meat: what I was served was the world's worst grilled cheese with two slices of cheese barely melted between toast with nothing else and two bites of potato salad - strike 2. We were served before everyone else who had been their before us and were promptly served the check before we were even done eating - strike 3. This is an absolutely beautiful place with stunning views, but the service and food kept me from enjoying it. We then drove the 30 minutes back to civilization where I was treated kindly and got some actual sustenance at a gas station. I give the gas station 5 Stars. read more

A truly beatiful place to be, it is quite with a beatiful view and fantastic food. The food is local and very fresh with excellent taste. I have to say my favorite food item was the fruit tart which looked different from what i imagined but was absolutely delicious. I recommend to come here for sure. read more

I heard about this restaurant and decided to give it a try last summer after a hike. It was a gorgeous summer evening and I was lucky enough to get a table on the deck. The food was great, made by a chef who knows his stuff, and the service was amazing. Topping it off was the view, courtesy of Mother Nature working her magic to make the visit even better. Lots of tourists, as the restaurant is attached to the lodge. It was fun listening to what others thought of the area and scenery. I'll definitely go back! read more

Wonderful views, friendly help but of our group not one lunch was good. Meats were overdone and dried out. The chef came out in the dirtiest chefs coat we'd ever seen. Will NOT go back or recommend it. read more
