The pizza was the worst ever. 8 cut was so crispy - my daughter took couple bites and I took couple bites did not finish our slices. 6 pieces left. When we were ready to waitress was not surprised we did not want a box - she never asked any questions about the pizza. I can only take it as it is if this is common occurrence there. Ravenswood is a hometown favorite and for good reason. Reasonable priced food with large portions and it's all delicious! Mozzarella sticks with melba sauce are a must, but their pasta, pizza, and salads are tasty, too. I was in CP recently and got the turkey dinner to go. Stopped in for lunch on Saturday. My husband and I arrived around 12:30. It was busy yet we only had a five minute wait. The pub has a family friendly atmosphere. You can help yourself to popcorn at the popcorn machine--it is freshly made and tastes great. My husband had wings and onion rings for lunch. His wings were plump and juicy --his words. The onion rings were homemade and tasty. I opted to dine on a build your own burger with Swiss cheese, fried onions and mushrooms with a side of fries. My burger was fantastic! I appreciate that it came with lettuce and tomato on the side and I promptly placed it on my burger. The fries were seasoned. A very nice and casual dining experience. We first entered and were greeted by a very sweet hostess. Our party of 4 were seated very quickly even though the pub was busy both at the bar and dining area. There was also live entertainment which was wonderful, not too loud but loud enough to hear him play and sing. Our waitress was very pleasant and very attentive in keeping up with the several drink orders we had going on. I opted to try in the Going the Distance menu section their Hot Turkey dinner with a simple side salad as a starter. It's been a while , but the plate had a generous helping of mashed potatoes, green beans, dressing topped with a healthy amount of turkey, covered with a scrumptious gravy, and cranberry sauce. The turnkey DID NOT have that processed turkey taste most restaurants serve. My meal was awesome. My grandson and daughter ordered burgers. It was a very hearty and generously sized burger on the bun (ratio of bun to burger-fantastic) with a side of chips for my grandson and fries for my daughter. Both were satisfied. The last order my SIL ordered the Charleston. The wrap was so huge he only ate 1/2 and opted to bring the rest home. Stopped tonight for a late dinner. The dining room floor was covered with what may have been popcorn. My husband had a chicken/pork belly sandwich that he truly enjoyed. The fries with the sandwich looked like they might have been delicious, if only they weren't cold. My French onion soup was also a disappointment. Been here many times, but extremely disappointed with the last visit. We ordered French onion soup.... The cheese had a refrigerator taste to it and was hardly melted. I ordered the stuffed Haddock.... Again there was a refrigerator taste to the stuffing, the green beans were cold, the rice was lukewarm warm. We went there on a Saturday night and it was quite loud with 2 bands 1 inside and 1 outside. Service was very good . We went there for the fish and chips and it was excellent . We were on vacation having gone to the track at Saratoga . It was the first time we were there and we will go back next time we are up there for sure. read more

Ravenswood Pub is a solid restaurant located in the Clifton Park region. To put into perspective, I ordered the 24 Karat grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it was very good. In consideration of the foregoing, the sandwich was topped with cheddar cheese, onion ring, and 24 Karat gold sauce on a brioche bun. As soon as I bit into the sandwich, I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. To explain, the grilled chicken was moist, flavorful, and seasoned nicely. Furthermore, the onion ring was crispy and you can never go wrong with a fresh brioche bun. In addition, the 24 Karat gold sauce was excellent and really made the sandwich special. The sauce was sweet with a hint of spice and matched perfectly with the chicken. I enjoyed the sandwich a lot. In the same vein, the french fries were tasty as well. To intricate, the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Also, they were seasoned just right and offered an enjoyable flavor. Attended a bridal shower today at Ravenswood. This was one of the nicest showers I've ever had the privilege of attending. Overall a good experience that we had here today. We came into the restaurant from the back entrance and we were greeted and directed to the front where the hostess was available for seating. Never brought into the back area which leads out to the patio and it has the garage doors. We dropped the star because it was extremely cold in the area that we were in because the garage doors did not act of much of a barrier to the elements, which we are just going through a snow storm today so it was pretty cold outside. Other than that, though the food was fantastic, was very delicious and the service was excellent and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for some good food at decent prices. Came here for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. The a smallish pub with a bar and TVs everywhere! I would think this would be a good place to go for football or some other sporting event viewing. The service was a bit slow but everyone was nice and welcoming. My Ruben was pretty good, but felt that I should have gotten more fries. The Ruben has good flavor and definitely a fair amount of beef. The fries themselves were crispy and hot. The nachos were also pretty good, a lot of olives. I would probably come back again, but wouldn't go out of my way to go read more

Family pub with food for everyone. Live music, relaxed atmosphere. Wings, wraps, burgers, chicken parm, salads, all pretty solid. Able to accommodate large groups and adjust orders to suit. They have a popcorn machine.... So there will be popcorn on the floor. It's not a fancy place, but it's easy and fresh. This isn't where you bring a date for a quiet evening of small shared plates or to sample a tasting menu with wine parings. They do have a full bar but the drinks they serve will need to have their ingredients in their names (I.e; "rum and coke"). I've been to Ravenswood several times and contacted them to see if they could accommodate a large party for a breast cancer fundraiser event for my friend. We were excited to visit Ravenswood on a nice June night because of the outdoor space and live music. The band was great. When told to go right outside by the indoor hostess, we did not receive a server for a good 10 minutes. We ended up getting our own menus from the host stand. We ordered drinks and once they arrived, we were ready to order but our server said they would be "right back." A different server took our order, and later another server took my order for another wine. Very inconsistent service. The nachos we ordered sucked. The menu said the nachos had shredded cheddar, but they without a doubt had some cheese-sauce substance. The kids meals were eight dollars. That is ridiculously expensive. Especially when your five year old orders penne with sauce and they send out pasta with butter. We asked it to be corrected, and they came back five minutes later with the same pasta with butter and just poured sauce over it. Disgusting. read more

Maybe the full moon scared some of the people from coming out this night, but this was were-we-wolf'd down some bites of mighty good food. With a broad selection of beers to choose from, we shared a pitcher of Schmaltz Nut Brown ale. The Chicken Wings with the house 24-karat gold sauce were really good. While not supper crispy, the sauce had an initial smoky flavor that quickly changed toward a slightly sweet bar-b-que flavor. The wings were juicy and reasonably meaty. The Mozzarella Sticks had a good flavored and crispy breading, and the cheese had that nice stretch with each bite. The melba sauce was one of the best we've come across with but deep raspberry flavor and a high viscosity. We did not see on our menus any house specialty pizzas offered, even though as I write this I am able to find on their web page a list of eleven combinations that might have made our decision making a lot easier. Maybe we all missed that list, or maybe it's provided separately. In any event, we built our own combinations from an extensive topping list. Since there were only four of us, we opted to order three, nine inch, 4-cut, personal pizzas. The dough was different from any other that we've had. I likened it to approaching a biscuit texture. This was not necessarily a negative, it just did not provide the expected yeasty experience and flavor we are typically accustomed to. Each pizza also had a cornmeal bottom that may have contributed in giving the bottom a nice crustiness without the otherwise expected dark browning. Pizza #1 was an Italian Red Style with just mozzarella cheese. It had a very good amount of cheese, and yet didn't cross the line for the one in our group who dislikes too much cheese. It was a nice introduction to what was to come, even though it came across as quite salty. Pizza #2 was a White Garlic one with pesto, sundried tomato, and onions. The pesto was very lightly added, which was fine by me, but some at the table would have liked the kitchen to have used a heavier hand in application. Overall, a nice combination of flavors by those who designed it. Pizza #3 was an almost obligatory meat combination of bacon, sausage, and jalapeños on the Italian Red Style with mozzarella. Another delicious combination of toppings. I really liked the crumbled sausage, and the jalapeño slices were fresh and spicy. It might have risen to an even higher level if I could have tasted more of a good smoked bacon.
