Hot turkey dinner, mashed potatoes, green beans, turkey on dressing with gravy, side of cranberry sauce
    Serine F.

A very nice and casual dining experience. We first entered and were greeted by a very sweet hostess. Our party of 4 were seated very quickly even though the pub was busy both at the bar and dining area. There was also live entertainment which was wonderful, not too loud but loud enough to hear him play and sing. Our waitress was very pleasant and very attentive in keeping up with the several drink orders we had going on. I opted to try in the Going the Distance menu section their Hot Turkey dinner with a simple side salad as a starter. It's been a while , but the plate had a generous helping of mashed potatoes, green beans, dressing topped with a healthy amount of turkey, covered with a scrumptious gravy, and cranberry sauce. The turnkey DID NOT have that processed turkey taste most restaurants serve. My meal was awesome. My grandson and daughter ordered burgers. It was a very hearty and generously sized burger on the bun (ratio of bun to burger-fantastic) with a side of chips for my grandson and fries for my daughter. Both were satisfied. The last order my SIL ordered the Charleston. The wrap was so huge he only ate 1/2 and opted to bring the rest home. All in all, great food, casual but welcoming ambience, excellent live music, accommodating wait staff. Very nice evening out.

Always the greatest service at ravenswood pub! Every bartender/waitress is attentive and great at their job. Food is great too! Would definitely recommend

Ravenswood Pub is a solid restaurant located in the Clifton Park region. To put into perspective, I ordered the 24 Karat grilled chicken sandwich with fries and it was very good. In consideration of the foregoing, the sandwich was topped with cheddar cheese, onion ring, and 24 Karat gold sauce on a brioche bun. As soon as I bit into the sandwich, I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. To explain, the grilled chicken was moist, flavorful, and seasoned nicely. Furthermore, the onion ring was crispy and you can never go wrong with a fresh brioche bun. In addition, the 24 Karat gold sauce was excellent and really made the sandwich special. The sauce was sweet with a hint of spice and matched perfectly with the chicken. I enjoyed the sandwich a lot. In the same vein, the french fries were tasty as well. To intricate, the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Also, they were seasoned just right and offered an enjoyable flavor. Altogether, Ravenswood Pub is good restaurant and I highly recommend the 24 Karat gold sandwich.

Overall a good experience that we had here today. We came into the restaurant from the back entrance and we were greeted and directed to the front where the hostess was available for seating. Never brought into the back area which leads out to the patio and it has the garage doors. We dropped the star because it was extremely cold in the area that we were in because the garage doors did not act of much of a barrier to the elements, which we are just going through a snow storm today so it was pretty cold outside. Other than that, though the food was fantastic, was very delicious and the service was excellent and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for some good food at decent prices. Thank you for listening.

From its website -- "Ravenswood - Clifton Park's Neighborhood Pub Forget the chain restaurants and step into Clifton Park's very own neighborhood pub. With a charmingly rustic ambiance, Ravenswood restaurant and pub in Clifton Park NY opened in 1984 and quickly became a favorite place to gather with family and friends for casual dining. Well-known for their chicken wings, the pub features daily specials, delicious pub fare, an appealing kids' menu." Husband and I have eaten here about six times over the past three years. Feb. 7, 2019 update Ordered the Mussels tonight (after a poor review of them earlier) and on this visit, it was a five star dish. The mussels were cooked in a white wine garlic broth. They were delicious -- perfectly tender, large, and no grit! This is the appetizer special on Thursday nights. Do you believe only $6.00 (reg $10.) We come as a party of six, and each of us raved about the food and service--Spinach Salad with Grilled Shrimp, Beef on a Weck, Turkey Sandwich, Pulled Pork Sandwich, and Tacos. The draft beer I shared with husband was topnotch -- Singlecut Jan White Alpine Lager. Reminded me of Blue Moon because of the citrus element, but more complex undertones. Surprised it was $9.00, but we never asked. We were told the Queens, NY brewery now has a satellite in our area.

24k gold chicken sandwich! My daughter said it was amazing.

Had my first dinner out since covid started last night on the patio outside!!! Been a longtime customer of Ravenswood and they didn't disappoint even during these difficult times. Service and food were great at a good price!!! Will be back soon and it was good to see them be able to open again through all this craziness!!

Came here for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. The a smallish pub with a bar and TVs everywhere! I would think this would be a good place to go for football or some other sporting event viewing. The service was a bit slow but everyone was nice and welcoming. My Ruben was pretty good, but felt that I should have gotten more fries. The Ruben has good flavor and definitely a fair amount of beef. The fries themselves were crispy and hot. The nachos were also pretty good, a lot of olives. I would probably come back again, but wouldn't go out of my way to go

Mama's recipe for wood fired pizza, yummy! If anything might have pulled it out a minute or two sooner.

This was the second occasion of my being invited by someone who was celebrating their birthday there. I'm not a big fan of chicken wings so I also don't consider myself a connoisseur. On this visit there were nine of us celebrating the birthday boy's 65th. I figured I was entitled to seven wings from the six different flavors that were ordered. I was satisfied after tasting just one from each flavor. All the wings were very crispy and the flats were a bit moister than the drums. In fact, my least favorite was a parmesan garlic drumstick. It came with no sauce, so it seemed extra dry. Treating the wings as my appetizer, I ordered The Heater from their Specialty Sandwiches and substituted sweet potato fries for regular fries. Served in a toasted hoagie were shaved Italian steak, sauteed peppers, onions, jalapeños, queso cheese, and melted pepper jack. My first thought was that the hoagie was going to be too massive and too much bread. But to my surprise, the bread was so fresh and soft that it easily compressed around the filling allowing the filling to be the star of each bite. The steak was tender and flavorful, there was not too much spiciness from the various peppers, and there was plenty of moisture. The sandwich was served while still very hot as were the sweet potato fries. Wings and sandwich, all went well with my pint of Guinness. They do not take reservations and will not seat your party until all members of your party are present. They will add you to the waiting list before all of your party is present. Once we were added to the waitlist it was thirty minutes before the rest of our party arrived due to traffic delays. It was then another thirty minutes before we were seated. This was a Tuesday starting about 5:30 p.m. I'd suggest aiming for a weekday after lunch if you have more than four people in a birthday celebration. Staff are well experienced with these situations and are friendly and helpful.

I stopped by Talon's Pub and Grille at the Eagle Crest Golf Club for an early dinner. It was very hot and humid outside, so this was a good place to take a break and stay cool. I took a seat up at the bar and got a food menu and specials. I started out with and ice water and Shrimp Tacos (3 for $9 plus tax) on special served with sour cream and mild salsa. The 3 grilled soft tacos were each filled up well with tender grilled shrimp, lettuce, shredded cheese and pico de gallo. These shrimp tacos were very good. Next, the French Dip ($13 plus tax) served with beef broth for dipping, choice of side (I chose homemade macaroni salad) and a dill pickle. The French Dip sub had plenty of thinly sliced grilled beef & melted Swiss cheese on a soft toasted sub roll. The homemade macaroni salad had a light mayo base with firm elbow pasta, chopped red peppers, onions and celery. Both the French Dip and macaroni salad were spot on in taste and portion. I was very stuffed and got the check which was $23.54 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food I ordered exceeded my expectations for taste, portion size and price. The service here was prompt and friendly. I would definitely stop here again whether it's after golf or just driving by.

After all, it just so happens to be our closest neighborhood watering hole. We had been there once before, maybe about 20 years ago and never returned. It's not that there was any problem with that first visit, it just didn't seem to offer something that called out for us to return sooner. Since it seemed like a second visit probably was in order, off we went on a Friday evening to reacquaint ourselves with Pam's. The place was almost filled, both at the bar and the tables. Live music was being performed by a guitar-playing singer who was mostly ignored by the crowd. The three remaining tables that were available were all in front of the performer and his amplified equipment. We thought the table furthest from the speakers would be inappropriate for the two of us to occupy since it could easily seat eight, so we chose the next furthest table from the speakers, a four-top. Yes, the music was loud but we were still able to carry on a conversation. There were several TVs scattered around the walls, but it appeared there was no real interest by the 40+year-old customers in either the Yankee/Red Sox game or The O'Reilly Factor. While there appeared to be only two ladies covering both the bar and the tables, we were acknowledged in less than five minutes, informed of the beers on tap, the most exotic being two Sam Adams brews, and provided with menus. Our two pints of Sam's Summer Ale ($4.25 each) arrived quickly and we placed our order for Loaded Nachos ($11.95) and a Burger with cheese and an upgrade to Sweet Potato Fries ($10.50). The food was delivered to our table in a reasonably prompt fashion. The Nachos had very little flavor, in spite of the melted cheese, diced peppers, tomatoes, onions, chile, and jalapeno slices. The chips were typically salty and the sides of salsa and sour cream did nothing to add flavor. The half-pound burger was served as requested, medium-rare, and had a reasonable char flavor on the outside, but the beef itself had no noticeable flavor. It lacked juiciness for this degree of rareness, but benefited from the melted cheddar cheese on top. The roll was soft and fresh, and the sweet potato fries were typical frozen fries and only warm when they arrived on the table. By comparison, an order of regular French Fries left in error at our table were nice and hot. A small plastic container of nondescript macaroni salad was also served as a side to the burger. Service was friendly and efficient considering the number of customers per server. The performer wished us a "good-night" as we departed. If our friends get around to deciding on a night to meet them there, we'll likely join them for a drink and maybe try something else on the menu. Otherwise, it may be another 20 years before we return.

And we're talking about homemade pub food. While my companions chose sodas to go with their burgers, I decided on a Fiddlehead IPA ($5.50). My wife ordered the Cheddar & Bacon Burger (19 klams) and two of us ordered the Smokehouse Burger (19 klams). All burgers are half-pound, hand-crafted, freshly ground beef served with lettuce, tomato, and onion on a grilled brioche roll. They are also accompanied by fresh-cut fries and pineapple slaw. We all ordered our burgers medium-rare, and the kitchen complied. While the Cheddar & Bacon Burger is self-explanatory, the Smokehouse Burger includes a brown sugar BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and a homemade onion ring. The bacon on all our burgers was thick, crispy, and very tasty. The side of pineapple slaw was fresh and flavorful, the fries were better than average, and the rolls were soft and tasty. There are a number of other items on their menu that look inviting. I unfortunately, only took a photo of one side of the menu, but that should be enough to make you want to check them out. They also offer specials each night. Did I mention the complimentary bowl of popcorn?
