Single portion of chicken karahi
J E.

Came here with friends on a weeknight... Personally, I love Pakistani food as the absolute BEST of all the Middle Eastern curried dished, but I'm partial to it as it's what I was raised on and I've had it in Pakistan over several visits and I know it quite well... and this place does it quite nicely! Service is typical of an ethnic joint - Meaning they're friendly, but don't expect over-the-top service, utensils, plates, etc... this place uses paper plates and you have to ask for nearly everything you might need - but I don't hold this against them as they mean the best, there's a slight cultural difference that needs to be considered. A great example of that is that they even came out and offered us some AMAZING kheer as a free dessert after we were done with dinner. Their chicken kaharai was great! Very tasty, nicely spiced, and made just right. Their aloo polak was decent and their naan was ok (slightly too thick). The biryani was excellent, as was their buttered chicken, channa, and vindaloo chicken. Would highly recommend them for a very nice, Pakistani (which is the BEST) curry and kabob experience. I'm even more partial to them as my family is from Rawalpindi (where I've visited many times) and the name reminds me of that village.

We love it every time it just doesn't have the following it should. #1 plate with chicken and beef is my go to!

Great Pakistani/Indian cuisine! #1 is our go to with chicken, been, chickpeas, rice and naan. Can't go wrong just doesn't have the following!

Chicken, palak paneer, garlic Naan
Lora K.

The chicken was very well done, moist and full of flavor. I loved the garlic Naan, so soft and delicious. I didn't like the Palak paneer so much. It was one of the oiliest (or I guess buttered) curry I've ever had. I mean pools of oil in the curry. I have to watch how much oil I consume due to acid reflux so was a bit disappointed to see how much oil or butter was used. In my opinion, it just is uncessary and ruins the dish. I took it home and tried to see if I could let the oil cool and separate, but the whole thing just solidified, oil too since I think there was that much butter. I could tell it was butter as you could really taste the sweet buttery flavor. Anyway, would never order that again and if I were to come back I'd ask for their least oily curry on the menu. I think they're more known for their meat anyway.

Chicken biryani, Lamb Tikka Masala and veggie samosas were excellent. Food portions are very generous and came out piping hot!

Food wasn't fresh and sauce was watery. Chick peas was tasteless. Please avoid eating there. Also, Ac was broken.

Great food. Service is not good. TV way too loud and tuned to CNN. Do yourself a favor and order from Rawal Kabob but take it to go.

Awful, just awful. Got the $5 gyro sandwich lunch special, had one bite and in the trash it went. The sauce smelled and tasted rancid.

The little mini salad that comes with the meals had a really good dressing, and I enjoyed it. I didn't really like the chick peas. I prefer the ones at Charcoal Kabob in Herndon which are lot more spicier. These had a more tomato flavor to them which I've experienced at other kabob places. Also didn't care for the white yogurt sauce. It tasted and felt more like a salad dressing. The green sauce was really good, and I stuck with that for dipping. Service: fast casual. You go to the counter, order, pay, and they bring the food to your table. Ambiance: nice, new, and clean. Pretty generic. You could sub in any cuisine. I thought the prices were on par with any other kabob places, only most other places serve their meals with naan. Not here, but the portion sizes are big enough to fill you up. Overall, I'm happy I came and tried it out.

I felt so happy n comfortable the entire time. What surprised me was how amazing all the banchan was. That's how rare it is to get some good tasting sides. I feel that it's gone way down hill over the years. 20 years ago most the Korean places had good food n very tasty banchan. No,w its or miss, but most places don't have good banchan. It really takes away from the experience. You have good meat but mid sides. I felt the love being put into their food here which is rare these days. The meat was superb, I could tell soon as it arrived it was high quality. Was tender n delicious. The sauces, the service, the rice, the sides, the meat. The kicker was the smooth jazz playing in the background. I was in pure bliss! Can't wait to come try dinner next time. This place def lived up to their reputation. Please never change as you got it right.

They do have a 2 hour service break between lunch and dinner just an fyi. Some of us got cocktails which all enjoyed. The only thing that could use improvement is the speed of paying the check. Sure, it looked like we were all chatting away but it was another hour of us trying to waive our server down to pay. Overall, not a major deterrent and other than that we thought the service was pretty good. There was a strangeness when perhaps a busser put the raw meat on the table in a strange way. Strange meaning it was put in the way of where the banchan should be and not close to the grill. Long story short we still enjoyed our time and tipped generously. Perhaps it was a short staff day. We are all definitely coming back.

There was a burger and chips option but when I requested it they told me that just don't have it. No reason why. They don't have plastic cups for kids either. We ended up getting the beef noodle soup, a noodle dish with beef and a few lamb and chicken kebabs. The beef noodle soup had no flavor / it tasted like water with chillies. The beef noodles were over cooked and needed salt or something. The lamb kebabs were chewy and the chicken kebabs were way too spicy. The wait time for the food took 30 minutes and while I am pretty patient - it was not worth the wait. The servers were non- existent and I had to constantly ask for napkins, water, take away boxes. The only time I saw them Was when I called them to order and then called to pay. They should not work in the service industry as a smile goes along way but clearly they hate customers. There was just no attempt to be nice at all and they were not very accommodating with questions. Let me not even get started on the bathroom. It was dirty and there was no loo paper. Give this place a skip. It's just not worth the time and the money you will spend there.

The puri arrived hot and perfectly puffed--golden, light, and crunchy on the outside, yet soft enough to soak up every bit of flavor. Then came the Punjabi murg chole, and that's where the magic really happened. The chicken was tender and deeply seasoned, not overpowering, but rich with warmth and spice. Paired with the chickpeas, it created a hearty, comforting balance--earthy, savory, and incredibly satisfying. We all know halwa puri with chole is a classic. It's nostalgic, it's comforting, it's expected. But adding Punjabi-style chicken into the mix? That took the entire experience to another level. The chicken didn't compete with the chole--it elevated it. Every bite with puri felt intentional, layered, and indulgent. This wasn't just breakfast or brunch--it was a vibe. A bold twist on tradition that felt rooted yet exciting. If halwa puri is comfort food, then halwa puri with Punjabi murg chole is comfort food that decided to show up dressed sharp and confident. A combination I didn't know I needed--but now won't forget.
