Amazing, seamless, painless and fabulous first experience at Ray Chevrolet!…read more Stopped in on a whim Friday evening just to get a feel for what is out there. Drove home a few hours later as a proud and happy new owner of a VW Tiguan! (Which ironically was the car I wanted in the back of my mind and they just happened to have one! Fate?) I can't express enough how great everyone was and how perfectly everything unfolded. Major kudos to Pete Becker for his assistance. Definitely not your usual expectation of a "sales guy". Personable, funny, down to earth and honestly, was the deciding factor in me making the purchase. He didn't make me feel pressured and made sure I was truly happy with everything before sealing the deal. He was also super kind to my daughter that was with and made her feel like she was included in the experience. Pete is great at what he does and I personally and highly recommend him if you're looking to buy your next vehicle. Again, great experience every step of the way! Thank you Ray Chevrolet for having what I wanted and having such amazing, caring employees! 5 star service, hands down! Edit to update: don't be lied to like I was regarding a hard credit pull. I paid in full, no loan requested and was told they would not do a hard pull on my (perfect) credit. 30 days later, the letters come in the mail they DID do a hard pull. Ridiculous.

Buyer Beware - Great Sales Pitch, Terrible Follow-Through…read moreFirst and foremost, I'll own our mistake because it's only fair. We bought a vehicle that had clearly been smoked in. We should have never assumed that such a horrendous smell could be removed, and that's on us. Everything that happened after that, however, is entirely on this dealership. We live about an hour and a half away, so after making the trip to purchase the vehicle, we were promised it would be delivered to us a few days later after receiving a thorough professional detail. Instead, the vehicle that arrived looked like it hadn't been touched. There was food and debris throughout the interior, fingerprints, dirt, and surfaces that clearly hadn't even been wiped down. The smell was one of the worst odors you could imagine. Calling it "detailed" is laughable. To make matters worse, they delivered the vehicle with the wrong license plates. We waited several days before finally calling (after the salesman had promised he would send the correct plates as soon as he returned), only to receive an apology and an "Oops, we forgot to send them." We then had to wait even longer for the proper plates to arrive. When we confronted them about the nonexistent detail that had been promised, their solution was for us to drive an hour and a half back to the dealership and leave the vehicle there for several hours. That's completely unreasonable after they failed to deliver what was promised in the first place. Eventually, they agreed to reimburse us so we could have the vehicle professionally detailed locally. We paid for the detail ourselves, sent them the receipt, and have now been waiting weeks for reimbursement. Last Friday, someone from the dealership actually called to ask whether we had received the check. We said no. Now it's Tuesday, and there's still no check. At this point, it honestly feels like it was never mailed and I was right I called again (7/14) and spoke with a woman who I believe said she was the director. She told me the check was sitting on her desk because they were waiting to find out whether we wanted to pick it up or have it mailed. She also claimed they didn't have our address. Really? She also mentioned she had never heard about my issue. I think that's a you problem and I would get to the bottom of why my staff is not informing me of stuff like this. Unless, because you had the check in your hands you really did know why I was having these issues. (The check finally arrived on 7/18) We just purchased a $16,000 vehicle from you. We've been going back and forth for weeks about all of these issues, yet somehow you don't have our address? Or a phone number to call and ask for it? And if that was truly the issue, why did the general manager call on Friday asking whether we had received a check that supposedly hadn't even been mailed yet? The most frustrating part of this entire experience is the complete lack of follow-through. Everyone is friendly while they're selling you a car. The showroom is full of guys in polos and khakis who know exactly what to say to earn your business. But once the paperwork is signed, the promises stop meaning anything. Every single issue has required us to chase someone down. Every promise has required multiple phone calls. Every mistake has been met with an apology instead of accountability. At what point is a customer allowed to lose their patience? We've been more than reasonable. We've been patient. We've given this dealership every opportunity to make things right, and somehow every step has turned into another hassle. Buying a car is a major purchase, and the experience shouldn't end the moment you drive off the lot. Good customer service is measured by what happens after the sale, and that's where this dealership has completely failed us. If you're considering buying a vehicle here, just know that the sales process may sound great, but don't expect the same level of care once they've got your money. As for the dealership, please don't reply with another canned, "We're sorry, and we'd like to make this right." That seems to be the response to every negative review you receive. Instead of focusing on schmoozing customers as they walk through the door, focus on follow-through and accountability. Communicate with your employees, set expectations, and figure out why so many promises are falling through the cracks. It's too late for us. I would never purchase another vehicle from this dealership, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone else. What's done is done, and this has been an expensive lesson learned. I hope your dealership learns something from it as well unless no one really cares, which, unfortunately, is exactly how this entire experience has felt. If that's the case... good luck.

I've bought and sold multiple vehicles from this dealer. Back in January I brought my car in for an oil change which took over an hour and a half. When I went to say something the service manager gave me my keys and said I'll take care of the bill. I thought it was a nice gesture until I drove my car at night and noticed my headlights were pointed towards the ground and I could barely see ahead of me. When I finally got around to readjusting my headlights I noticed the passenger headlamp assembly completely broken. All mounts were broken. I hand wash my car all the time in the summer so I know for a fact that was never broken. When hand washing my car in the spring I noticed hundreds of stress cracks in my paint, on my bumper, just below the passenger headlight. Toyota hit something with my car and tried to hide it. They even adjusted my driver side headlight to match the broken passenger headlight. This dealership is the only place I take my car so I know they did it. When I called the general manager and asked if there were cameras in the service area he said he would check and call me back. Of course he never called me back. It's crazy to think they would risk losing a customer over a $300 headlamp. Do not do business with this very unprofessional company. My parents also just bought a brand new RAV 4 and they added something that my parents never agreed to. They were able to get a hold of the owner and a check was cut to make it right but because of their shenanigans they lost another customer. It's business decisions like this that make car buying so miserable. Stay away from this dealership. Nothing but sc artists.

I'm noticing a difference since the recent management change. 2 hours 20 min so far and still waiting. UPDATE: 1/12/2026 Updated from 2 to 3 stars. Upon further review, this was a shared issue. I had been recently getting spam calls from collectors. I made an appointment on the Toyota app and then later got a call to confirm. I thought it was another spam call and didn't know it was Toyota service calling to confirm. So I blocked the number (now it is unblocked FYI). But that action caused me to miss the text and a call that the service tech made while I was waiting. So blocking the number thinking it was a spam call was me causing part of this issue. The service department used to come up to me in the waiting room or call my name. Since that didn't happen, I think part of this was on them. So we both contributed to this. Given that, I bumped the star up from 2 to 3. Also kudos to the representative who called me to check up on this. They really do care about this issue. They are using the Kaizen method to improve and wanted to touch base to get that information. Looks like the service ticket was closed about an hour after I checked in. I waited 2.5 hours because of the blocked number and also because nobody came to get me. Water under the bridge. I went from Jeep to Toyota for the quality. So I need a good partner to keep my car alive. That means the service department. Thanks for checking up on me and I'm sorry that I caused part of it.

I decided to stop by and look at the cars they had for sale, but I had a really tight budget, so hard to work around. Ray, the owner, walked me through a couple of the options they had remotely close to my price range, and one of them was a new acquisition that they had just got in. Ray was honest with me and told me he would not sell me that car before he made sure it was completely safe. He went above and beyond to fix everything that car needed fixed in the least amount of time possible, and even more, and he showed me all the receipts for everything. I cannot say how much I appreciate everything he has done for me. I just got into the country, I work as an intern at a local business, and I really needed a safe car to get around. He gave me an amazing deal and the opportunity to work with my payments, because he understood my situation, and took a huge leap of faith with me. I can't recommend this business enough. Rather you need your car detailed, or you need a new car, make sure you come by his store.

I was advised by them and the Carfax that it was involved in a minor incident (superficial scratches), but during a random hot day a week later, it was determined the air-conditioning didn't work. I brought it to a Chrysler dealership closer to me and found out that it was involved in a major accident with the undercarriage being incredibly bent and parts haphazardly replaced. I emailed pictures and wrote up an email of the laws that were broken, so they agreed to give me my money back. I was able to finally get my money back in May 2026. Here are the issues I had: - When I went to pick up the vehicle a week after purchasing, it was not ready for me (even though they said they would have it ready). I had to wait quite a while for it. - When I finally got the vehicle, it was not fully vacuumed and there was sticker goo and a black X in the corner of the windshield. I had to ask them to take it back to re-vacuum it. -When working with the manager (Don) and the general manager (Kip), I was told that they would call me back, text and or email a few different times during the disaster of getting my money back and they never did. I had to contact them or track them down each time. - Yes, this car was used, but when buying from a certified dealer, you expect quality and truthfulness. Supposedly they do a quality inspection prior to putting their cars on the lot, but somehow the vehicle I bought made it out on the sales lot when it absolutely should not have. Which makes me wonder if I brought it to them to have the air conditioner fixed that I never would've found out it was involved in a major accident and I would be driving an unsafe vehicle. The only reason I am giving this dealership two stars is because they did take the van back and I got my full money back. They also gave me a van to use while I waited for my money. Except for the use of a van while I waited for my money back, everything was difficult/ a disaster, and I will never recommend this dealership to anyone.

I decided to finally trade in a 2021 F-150 and go into a bigger truck for my families activities and needs. I have known Russell now for several years and he has alway stayed in touch with me. He is always in a good mood and when he sees me, has always made sure to say hi during my service visits for the two ford vehicle's I own. Well we started discussing the possibility of going on to a bigger truck during one of my service visits for the f-150. This conversation parallels another one that I was having the same day with Greg and Kat in service about why I was thinking about going into the super duty line. Between the three of them, they gave me the confidence and information I needed to make an educated choice to start pursuing a F-250. So over the next several weeks Russel contacted me about various options that would come in inventory to see if these met my needs. Well finally a 2020 white super duty came on the lot and I had a feeling this was the one. Again I was on another regular maintenance Sevice visit with my son and Russ got the vehicle pulled up for me to accommodate a test ride for my son and I. Well taking a 6 year old ona test drive ended up asking 1000 questions which made it a bit challenging to ask the questions I wanted. Because my sons questions hands down come first. Russ respected that and just enjoyed the ride. The great thing was I was able to contact Russ personally the following day and several weeks after that about this truck to answer my questions. So that brings me to July 20, 2023. I decided to come test drive the vehicle again as I have made my decision of what I wanted to buy. I was currently looking at three different 2020 trucks at 3 dealers. The thing is the customer service I have gotten Russell, Greg and Kat at Kunes in Antioch over the years really drove me to want to do business with this team. So following my test drive with this vehicle, I was able to have another conversation with Gregg, Kat Russ and Bailey in the service department about this vehicle. This was the first time meeting Bailey and it was a pleasure. He is very knowledgeable on the diesel truck engines. All of them were able to answer all my questions and also gave me great additional information about the truck and warranties available. So from here it was pretty much set in stone that I wanted to buy this truck. From here I sat down with Russ and discussed the offer. We finally agreed on the deal with help of his team that included extended warranties and Cerma coat products available. Which brings me to Scott. Russ brought Scott over to introduce him to me and go to the finance office to finish up the deal. Scott it's another top notch individual and is a perfect fit. He made the finance part of finishing the deal very easy and quick. He was well prepared and thorough. Kat, Greg, Bailey, Scott and Russ really made me feel great about doing business with them and the Kunes Auto Group!
