On May 8 2019 our hot water heater burst in our Condominium in Pembroke Pines. We only realized…read moreit when we walked on the wet floor in the hallway. By then the water had flooded the hallway , laundry room entrance , bathroom entrance and a portion of the living room and dining room. It damaged our $8000 flooring and all the wall board and baseboards that came in contact with the water. The first person we contacted was our Plumber, Wilford from "A+Professional Plumbing ". Wilford responded immediately , as always. He verified that, it was in fact , the hot water heater. Wilford our plumber recommended a water damage restoration company "InfintyEMS ". With Wilfords recommendation, we said "call them". He contacted them right away. The the owner of InfinyEMS Brian, was at my house within an hour to assess the damage. InfintyEMS restoration's crew showed up about two hours later and started working. InfintyEMS Brian , recommenced , that I use a private "public insurance adjuster ", to deal with the Insursnce Company for my damage claims. Previously having had a problem with an Insurance claim , in our second home in Alabama, I said "call them"! ! I was relieved to know there was a company that would effectively deal with the Insurance company. Brian contacted "Horizon Public Adjuster". The following day Michael Carr from Horizin Public Adjusters accessed the damages and explained how the process would work with the public adjuster . My husband inquired about his preference to replace the hot water heater with a tankless hot water heater. Wilford our Plumber contacted an electrician , Mike from Woods Electric to evaluate our electrical ability to handle the power needed for a tankless hot water heater, Mike from Woods Electric made the Necessary changes in our electrical system immediately. Our plumbers Wilford from A+ Professional Plumbing installed the new waterless hot water heater with no issues. My insurance claim with Allstate was handled flawlessly by Michael Carr from Horizon Public Adjusters. I actually had enough money to make the extensive repairs needed. The wall boards , baseboards , painting and entire floor replacement were done by "Joe Hunter from Just Joe Remodeling" What a fantastic job he did! This incident has renewed my opinion that there are honest professionals available in our community. Very glad that these Professionals were all available and recommended to me at a time that I was dealing with a big mess! I will never deal with an insurance company again for a claim! This amount was thousands of dollars and I ultimately ended up losing money on the entire claim. He knew that I had incurred these cost....I thought they were covered under a different part of my policy. Do yourself a favor and find someone more experienced as he should have known that he was settling my entire claim.
