After coming here and dealing with a grouchy counter person who from the time you walk in (you don't get a greeting) you begin to feel like you're a bother. I tried one more time to see if maybe just maybe they were having a bad day but nope!! They did it again. So now I travel 60 miles once a year to my old optometrist where there is no attitude, very welcoming professional workers. Horrible. I would give no stars if I could. Receptionists, especially one in particular, are nasty and can't be bothered to do their job at their job site. I wish I could give negative stars. When I first found this place I was happy that they took my insurance. I understand things aren't going as planned but you are an essential business AND it's ALSO essential for me to have good vision. The doctor has been MIA since the pandemic started. I understand he's older, but this is an essential business that YOU need to get full coverage for. I called several times in the past 6 months. When I called (one of the many times) the person who answered said they tried to call once to schedule an appointment with a substitute doctor... LIES. I never received a phone call, missed call, or voicemail. And when I laughed and mentioned that...the worker just quickly said "uh. Hold on." And switched me to a different worker. UNPROFESSIONAL and nervous that I caught you in a lie right? When I called again (now almost the new year!) they said they still won't have anything for January. So ... almost a year that this place "isn't running." A business that DOESN'T do business, service their clients, have appointments, or has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what's going on ... SHOULD NOT be "in business". I can't wait to find a better place. Sad because the office was decent before this. read more

Always receive cordial quick service. I have been a customer for 16 years. There have been a couple of times when I was in getting my glasses, contacts or whatever and people have stopped in for the first time to get a simple repair. Cheerfully, the staff fixed on the spot without any charge. Essentially, this family business is community minded and fair. read more

Stopped going to another optician because of how rude the office manager was, and i guess it's a pattern because this woman was raising her voice and being extremely rude. We visited Raymond Opticians a few months ago and had 3 eye exams and purchased 2 sets of glasses. The service was mediocre and although the eye doctor was pleasant, the man who fixes the glasses was very condescending to my husband. When I called to get my sons pupillary distance, they wanted to charge me a $25 fee. Not to measure it (because that was already done) but just to find out what it was. As if we didn't already spend enough money there. I'm going to add for those who were asked to pay this fee in the future. There's an app that does it for $.99 read more

I just got my rebate for contact lenses that I purchased through Raymond Opticians! One hundred dollars back in the form of a prepaid gift card! Thing is, I was not in the know about how to execute this option. I always thought buying my lenses online would be cheaper, but they showed me a better way! Emily walked me through the process and told me exactly how to do it and voila! It's on it's way and I am ever grateful to this team of wonderful professionals! They are a great group! read more

Let me start with the cons...the place was freezing, temp outside was 40 and the heat was off. Our at least it felt like it. The two ladies upfront weren't overly friendly, might have been the frigid temp, or very helpful. I think the younger was just keeping someone's seat warm, seriously. The older gentleman was very nice but the place lacked any kind of customer service order. The staff just didn't seem to work well together which is very offputting for anyone, unless your one of the regulars, then you get top notch treatment with a hug goodbye. The Dr who did the eye exam was friendly, very informative and would see him again, too bad he is at this location.Plus for what ever reason, the place was waiting for abulb to do the glacoma exam, the Dr couldn't do acompete exam,. The staff should inform the patients as soon as possible to avoid a second trip, which I chose not to. Frame selection was fair but prices were a little on the higher side. Would i go back?.Nope. They were willing to allocate a lot of time to help me find the right frames for me, even though they were pretty busy. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend. read more

A little background...my husband & I have been going to Raymond Optical formerly Optical Illusions between 20-30 years; my glasses were about 10 years old and I felt it was time for a checkup; the doctor was pleasant and professional; the front desk assistant I dealt with for many, many years was no longer there and her replacement is Maryann...my daughter came with me to help me pick out my frames and Maryann helped as well....the nightmare began!!!!...one month later I got a call my glasses were in; went, had a problem with the vision Mike told me they were progressive...I said I didn't order progressive lenses...back they had to go to the lab...another month I got a call my glasses were in...went got my glasses and now my headaches began....literally...pressure under my eyes; bridge of my nose and headaches...I'm not prone to headaches...I went back at least 3 or4 more times for adjustments...I finally said I need to pick out new frames theses are obviously too heavy for me....I was told too bad; they cannot be replaced unless you're willing to pay for everything again; and when I said I've already paid $450....and isn't there a guarantee for satisfaction...I was told and yelled at that it was well beyond the 30 day limit; that she had done me a favor by adjusting them after the 30 days and when I said that I can even bring something back to Kohl's up to a year with a receipt and get a refund she proceeded to yell at me about her medical deduction limit and other personal financial issues....did I care???...no I'm the customer and I guess there is no concern about customer satisfaction....I left almost in tears...she left me with that they were having their holiday dinner and she would check with her boss if there could be an allowance with the frame cost and get back to me.....she never called me!!!!....frustrated I wrote a letter to my husband's optical plan and others hoping I could get some help.....along came my knight in shining armor....Jeff at Davis Vision....to end this review....I picked up my eyeglasses May 16...this nightmare began July 21st....granted I was away for February and part of March....but still we're talking about my vision....Jennifer helped me with my glasses this time and although it was made very obvious to me that there was a very cold; non-personal atmosphere towards me she took care of my needs...I got my glasses and said thank you and said I'll never be back......customer BE WARE!!!!!!! read more
