It's February. They recommended calling around and maybe checking out West dermatology in Arroyo grande. Glad I did. The receptionist was super nice and she had an opening for May, which I booked, and then a few days later I got a call saying that an appointment was available in a couple of days which was great! I saw Gabriel the nurse practitioner who was extremely nice, professional and courteous. He was thorough in the exam and alleviated worries that I had about a few spots on my skin that I wasn't sure about. The girls at the front desk were extremely nice, welcoming, and friendly as well. I am actually really shocked that they only have three star rating and even told them so! I already pre-booked my next year's appointment. Great job everyone!!

Here's my policy on reviews: I called in a friendly tone, wanting to reschedule my appointment 26 hours prior. Your front desk staff was RUDE. THAT WAS THE MAJOR FACTOR IN YOUR REVIEW. A friendly staff member could have said - "let's get you in another day" However, your staff was much too eager to bring up your 48 HR cancelation policy. (At this stage in a sale , keep in mind customers don't even know you.) It's off putting. She could have listened, then put me on hold (then discussed with you about not charging the customer, and that wife was already a customer )... THEN NOT EVEN BRING IT UP.........THEN STILL CLOSE THE SALE and got 2 more customers This would have saved your review This would have had 2 more local customers It sounds as you've worked very hard to get good reviews. HOWEVER: You could have called me personally when you knew this was an issue- you didn't. You could have emailed my wife and asked for my cell and or email me personally- you didn't. You could have said "excited about you coming in, let's get you that 1st appointment" - you didn't. You could have modified your front desk pitch and been more observant about tone with staff. - you haven't. Finally, if your staff is hypervigilant about the loss of a sale (I think you are stepping over dollars to grab pennies ) however, you could implement a policy to auto text message customers ("notifying customers 48 policy - 1 week in advance) BTW I received zero calls and zero text messages All the above has not been done.
