Right from the start, this place was a great experience. Walking in we were greeted, and since we were first time guests, we were given the layout and ordering process. The servers were very kind and friendly. I had a small pepperoni pizza and it was so delicious! Something about that mozzarella cheese made me feel like I was back in Rome! My husband had a garden salad and pasta Primavera. Both dishes were very tasty. I totally recommend this place especially for anyone visiting NASA. The service is great. I haven't had a chance to eat here in about 8 years and boy, did it not disappoint! It's just as tasty as I remember, if not better. The staff is very friendly and the place is very well kept. The Caesar salad was perfectly dressed and I loved the size of the croutons. I had the Chicken Rollatini and my wife had the Cannelloni Danielle; both tasted so delicious. The Chicken Rollatini was truly refreshing; a perfect dish for the summer time. Been looking for a new Pizza place since the one we were going to was bought by a new owner and the food there isnt the same. Rays is now our new place for pizza! This is a small restaurant that does a lot of takeout. You order at the counter, they deliver it to your table. For several years after it opened (before there was a Yelp) we ate here about once a week. At first things went well if a bit slow. The husband was the cook and the wife was the cashier. Then they disappeared and a manager appeared who was a horse's rear and the place became helter skelter. The chaos and manager became so annoying we quit coming. The pasta dishes were good and the pizza was excellent. We went back for the first time tonight. The ordering and table delivery were all smooth. We shared an order of Cannelloni and salad. I remember the salad being better than it was tonight and I wasn't excited about the Cannelloni. It may be an unfair rating since it's like the first time here, but I can only rate them they way they were for us. This place is great in every way! We work across the street from this place and for the past 4 years or so we would always use them for lunches with all the office staff. It was always good and consistent. Since COVID we have used them more and discovered their pizza........wow. It's amazing. The dough is made fresh there and you can taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I love to make my own pizza at home..........I have a Kamado Jo grill with the pizza stone so making pizza at home is simple and easy.............however; since trying the pizza from here..........I don't use the pizza stone any longer lol. It's too easy to order from here and better anyhow! That's the thing with this place though- we have probably over the years tried everything on their menu and it's all good. It's always going to look the same and taste the same every single time you order it. Everyone in our office loves this place. You will too if you try anything from there! Perfect Date Night! My husband and I tried Ray's for the first time last night and everything was outstanding. We were welcomed in by all the staff. Everyone employed there was happy and smiling. The team member at the counter walked us through the menu, specials, and recommendations(it was our first time). I ordered the Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and a Caesar Salad with a glass of Pinot Grigio. My husband ordered the Chicken Marsala and Risotto. We ordered the special appetizer for the day "Ray's Cheesy Bites". All of our food was perfectly timed. And, everything was delicious! It was soo good! (I'm still thinking about my pasta dish. I ate it all!) The cherry on top was the music. I'm a big Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Rat Pack fan. It made the whole experience next level. And, it played the entire time. I was so happy! A great spot for home-made-Italian-kitchen food. All the way from basic spaghetti and meatballs, to fresh lasagna, salad, gelato and much more. They either forget my garlic bread or the can't get my order right it's ridiculous I paid $40 for two meals for me and my wife. It's hard to imagine that a really good Italian restaurant and pizzeria that features authentic enough Italian food, meaning that it's not what I call a "red sauce factory," sits in a suburb way south of Houston, in a strip mall, and near the touristic entrance to NASA. However, it's all there ... at Pomodoro's on NASA Parkway. Note that there is another Pomodoro's in nearby League City, TX, and I was explained the differences in the ownership and whatnot, but these details are not with me as I write. However, none of this matters. It's in a strip mall, so you'll find parking and it will be unpretentious. It's in a suburb, so you'll find a more relaxed feel and more reasonable prices. And, despite it being in a suburban strip mall, the people who work here are genuinely nice, the food is delicious, and the pricing is appropriate and fair. I'm usually up for pasta, especially pasta of the filled variety. And, if it has a tomato cream sauce, that's even better. Enter Cannelloni Danielle. And note that other reviewers have either mentioned it or photographed it. It was an excellent dish. That said, you don't have to be a dyed in the wool suburbanite of this nicer bedroom community to eat at Pomodoro's, though many of the customers appear to be repeat customers who know a good thing. So, whichever way you roll in your house, neighborhood, school, workplace, or social circle, roll on over to Pomodoro's to have a platter of Cannelloni Danielle ... or lasagna ... or anything on their menu that strikes your fancy. Ive been back and tried the pizza and it lived up to my expectations this place is great. I referred a few friends and they have been multiple times since. Definitely a spot I wish I had checked out sooner. The employees are friendly and helpful. Also they are apart of bay area food lovers and one of the few places that actually tell there employees about it so checking out is easy. Definitely a place to try! I have lived in the area for a few years now and have searched and searched for a good New York style pizza joint. My friends, this is the place you want to go to. The pizza is crispy in every bite, not too much grease (which shows quality ingredients), you can tell it's made in a New York style oven, perfect cheese to sauce ratio, the sauce is not too tomato tasting and not tangy. NO FLOP! A step above football pizza in my opinion. Somewhere you want to get pizza for your family actually! I visited Pomodoro's for my first time the other day with my grandmother and son as a quick bite before I had to get back to work. It is a counter service restaurant, and I've passed it many times while heading down NASA and heard great things about it. The girl taking our order was new I believe, so she had to ask her coworker a few questions. No big deal. The restaurant wasn't all that clean when we went but maybe it was an isolated event. There were several tables that hadn't been cleaned off and the floors looked a little sticky. The menu is a bit pricey for a mom and pop place in my opinion, but if the food was out of this world I would be fine with that! My son and I split a cheese pizza and I also ordered a small garden salad. The pizza was typical, nothing above and beyond. The salad was a spring mix which was nice with a balsamic vinaigrette, it didn't have much dressing and I had to request more. The dressing was OK. My grandmother had the 1/2 salad and 1/2 hero sandwich, she said the bread on the sandwich was very good and brought it up again the next day so I assume she really enjoyed it! I would maybe give them another chance but being that our experience wasn't that impressive I don't think I'd rush back read more

This is a great family restaurant, always a crowd pleaser. Essentially, you're getting the tastiest, freshest Italian food in the area at a very reasonable price because you order at the register. And then, the staff still delivers the food to your table and takes care of you the whole time you're there. Definitely try the cannelloni Danielle, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken marsala, and Greek salad with shrimp. The pizza is excellent - no need to fret about special sauces or tons of toppings because the crust, sauce, and cheese are so good. My favorite is a simple Margherita. The soups are wonderful. If Italian wedding soup is their soup of the day, I can't resist it. Save room for dessert if you can. Gelato, cheesecake, and tiramisu are all well worth the calories. They have free delivery in the area, next best thing to waving your magic wand and having dinner magically appear in front of you. The business owner is friendly with customers and very involved with the day to day operations, often cooking in the kitchen. Meh. No atmosphere - as Shawn M. pointed out below. Parking is occasionally an issue as well. So before you have even ordered your food that is somewhat of a strike against them. Dude behind the counter was sort of a tool in the way you are just not sure if he was hungover; tired from revising his dissertation all night; or maybe he just really is a tool with an attitude and he wants you to know it was not his life dream to take your order for dinner. I went with the eggplant parmesan and the side of steamed vegetables. Neither were remarkable at all. The eggplant parmesan was more of a one star by itself, but the vegetable diversity brought it back up to a steady two star food rating. This is a two-starrer that I would give another shot to try something else, like pizza, but I would really never give the eggplant parmesan another chance. Was in the mood for a calzone and wanted to try someplace new. Saw this place as I was passing by (actually looking for a different Italian place) and since I was tired of driving around looking for my original choice, I figured I'd give it a try. It was clean and the people inside immediately greeted me. The prices were decent and they offered a lot of choices but of course I asked for a calzone with mushrooms and the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The app came in about 10 minutes after and I definitely enjoyed it although the main course was an absolute let down for me. It was SO full of ricotta cheese that I could barely get past the first couple of bites. The dough was thick as hell also. I tried to stick it out and ended up only eating about three bites and I couldn't do it anymore after that. I did see that the mozzarella and mushrooms were in it but it was stuffed in the middle of this big@ss thing that I just let it go. The only upside is that the employee who served me was very polite and I watched his mannerisms with other customers and they were exceptional. Don't get me wrong the stuffed mushrooms and garlic parmesan wings were good but the BBQ chicken pizza was just eh. BBQ chicken pizza has what on it? Chicken and BBQ sauce. How can you mess this up? wow...this is hands down the best pizza in clear lake, and arguably the best pizza in houston! i've become a regular here because i live close by, but even for those who don't, it's worth the trip. the ingredients are fresh, pizzas ridiculously good, and prices super reasonable. IMHO, this place could be better than star pizza, candelari's, and grimaldis here in h-town....and can run with the big dogs like lombardis in nyc! in addition to pizza, they have an extensive menu if you are in the mood for something else...as well as their own gelato. the staff is super friendly, and all very sincere. i highly recommend this place!! read more

This is our go-to Italian joint and hands down the best pizza we have ever had. We eat here regularly for dine-in and delivery, and we've tried everything from the make-your-own pizza to salads to pastas, and everything has been flavorful with large portions. The restaurant is owned by the son of Italian immigrants, so his recipes are authentic, which sets the food apart in a big way. The pizzas have a fluffy crust that makes them seem like a lighter meal, and the white sauce is just rich enough to be tasty but not overpowering. (You can also do half and half in toppings to split for two people with different palates.) Their meal salads are large and enough to fill you up. The Caesar is delicious with a subtle dressing, and their Apple Gorgonzola salad is original and refreshing. Take your pick of any pasta for a good meal, especially with the garlic bread, but we recommend the cheese-stuffed ravioli, which sits in a plate of their delicious alfredo sauce. Their dessert is pretty awesome as well. We've only tried their cannoli and gelato, but both were well done and sweet enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. We highly recommend the vanilla cream gelato with dark chocolate shavings! The price is a tad higher than the average dine-out meal, but it is worth it for such original Italian good. Really good pasta dishes. $3 glasses & $12 bottles of house wine

Normally this is my go to spot for pizza and pasta. But over the last few weeks. The delivery has been absolutely terrible. I called the store today to find out where my order was, and this has not been the first time I've called over the last month. Today I ordered at 6:45-ish. I didn't get my food until 8:30. And it is all cold. I ordered chicken Alfredo. My sauce is congealed. And my chicken is dry. When I called and told them I was upset. They offered "we can make you a new one." So I can wait another hour for my dinner? Then they said I would get a credit. I adore their food. I think it is amazing. I am tired of the waiting game for my food to get delivered, and I shouldn't have to push for them to offer other options to make it right when they admit the delay was their fault. read more
