My mechanic moved to Vegas and I was in dire need of another one... 2019 Accord (lowered on springs) - needed to have adjustable lower rear control arms w/ adjustable toe installed because the toe was way off. Used the 'quote request' option on Yelp to several shops and Ray responded first. He gave me a quote i couldn't refuse w/ alignment included! When I got to the shop I noticed several different type of cars (late 60s mustang, lifted 2ton pickup, early 90s accord, 70s chevy caprice?). If the owners of these cars trust Ray, include me too. LCAs were installed and now my car's tires thank him. 2010 Civic (stock) - bought this used car and noticed that there was excessive vibrations when i started it early in the morning. The whole dash was shaking. Popped the hood and asked my son to shift the gears...yup engine was 'twerkin'. Noticed that the passenger side upper motor mount was shot. Once again used 'request quote' and BAM first response, Ray! Pricing wasn't different either, still the BEST! He installed the motor mounts and the car doesnt shake like a salt shaker no more! This has got to be one of the most trust worthy and quality shops in Hayward. I contacted Ray to have him install new brake drums and pads on my Tacoma that I had purchased on my own accord. Ray completed the install in a matter of an hour or two. There ended up being a small issue with one of the brake shoes that I had purchased due to a small defect in the pad. It was making a little bit of a clicking noise so I contacted Ray and he instructed me to bring the truck back to him so he could take a look. Ray diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem at no charge! Keep in mind This issue was solely a manufacture defect and no fault of Rays but he went above and beyond to make sure it was right for me. I am writing a negative review for Ray's Wheelhouse due to several reasons. My boyfriend and I took his 2013 Chevy Silverado truck in for lift quotes. First, I must say, he has very unprofessional and disrespectful workers. As we were talking to a shorter man, some guys were commenting on my breasts and butt in Spanish. Little did they know that I speak Spanish too! Can we say HARRASSMENT??!! Had my boyfriend understood what was said he'd have hurt them bad. Second, the place is a rip-off. It is way overpriced. Ray needs to do some better research on his competition. We ended up taking the truck to Custom Modified Experts on Enterprise. Also, the shop's location is sketchy. It's small, there is no place to really park, and it's dirty. If you want quality service, professionalism, honesty, and great prices do NOT go here.
