This is by far one of the best, if not THE best shop that I've taken my car to. I rarely let someone else work on my car, but I 100% trust Mert (He was the head mechanic at GST Motorsports, another great Subaru shop) and his team. Mert at RBMS is simply an honest mechanic. He will tell you exactly what is wrong. None of that shady mechanic business. He tells you exactly what needs to be done to get your car running right and on the road. Another plus is that he stays true to his word and does the job QUICK and RIGHT at a fair price. Furthermore, he is really knowledgable about Subarus. I can't find anything bad to say about RBMS. Mert is a great guy. Very straight forward and honest. I had some work done on my STi here, dropped off one night, picked up the next night. RBMS is the only place on the forums that no one says anything bad about. That's why I chose them when I dropped in a 08 EJ257 into my 04 FXT along with a new radiator, clutch, hoses, belts, mounts and turbo. Mert kept me updated through the whole process and even put pics up on facebook so I could see what was being done. I took my Subaru Forester here a couple of months ago for regular servicing and to check to see if anything needed replacing. I don't drive very far and it never breaks down, so I have to remind myself to take it in at least once a year. Mert changed the oil, checked it over and test drove it, and just recommended replacing the tires. The bill was so low I worry that the company can afford to stay in business! Hands down on the best shops for Subarus. Mert and Jojo both super professional courteous guys. They take pride in their work and provide very reasonable pricing for their services. I was in a bind during the weekend with my wife's car having a misfire on cylinder #3 on her Outback. Going down to once car for the family is really inconvenient. Dropped the car off Monday morning thinking it wouldn't get repaired until Tuesday. That wasn't the case and was up and running on Monday afternoon. If you're in the east bay and have need work done to your Subaru this is the spot. Not to mention very clean looking shop with lots of eye candy cars always being worked on. read more

Place is a little hard to find but I'll take my Subie here from Fairfield because these guys do good work. I've been to RBMS twice first for Compression and Leak down test, because another shop local to me tried to pull me into a motor build. Reasonable prices oppose to the dealers $200+ per hour. Taken my wife's car here for service and Mert , Jojo and Robert always do an awesome job with each visit. Either maintenance or upgrades work they can hook you up- reasonable price. There is a Smog Check place close to them if you need of one-FYI. There is no Alignment/Tire Change machines yet. I was driving my friend's car from Hayward to Los Angeles when we noticed that the air conditioner was not working right! It was 95 degrees in the summer and no way are we driving without an AC. RBMS auto personnel were very helpful in securing the parts to make the AC work! read more
