I've been coming here since it opened. Ruchi and her team are the only people I let near my eyebrows. They always do a great job of cleaning and reshaping. They also let you know what needs to grow in more so you get a better shape. I used to also get my upper lip threaded and they're extremely patient and kind about going slowly in the more sensitive areas. I have very sensitive skin and my eyes get super watery and it's more painful for me than it is for the average person but they're always thorough and I never feel rushed to get out. They make sure I'm comfortable and my brows are to my liking. I've even moved across the country now to FL and I come home 3 times a year to visit family.. first stop is always to get my brows reshape and perfectly done so I can go back to fl and jus maintain it since I can't find anyone I trust with my brows there. read more

After 12 years of doing waxing, one fateful day, I got burned BADLY on BOTH eyebrows at a certain salon I will not mention. My other alternative would be to Pluck (but everyone knows how meticulous that is, especially for those girls that just don't have the time to sit there and pick away at unwanted hair) Until I realized Threading would be the way to go. 5 star average based on the high 30 reviews?! That's gotta speak for something right?! So, I called yesterday and I spoke with a very pleasant lady (I'm so sorry, I forgot her name...I'm sure another yelper mentioned her name here) and answered a couple questions I had (considering it would be my first time). I decided to go ahead and make an appointment with her for today. I had such a wonderful experience at Rb's! First and foremost, I was running late, so I called just to let her know and right when she answered she knew it was me! Caller ID maybe? Good memory? Saved my phone # from our last convo.? Only she knows. Anyways, I got there a few minutes late and there were 3 other girls waiting and 1 girl already getting threaded, seeing as I made an appointment, right after she was done, she asked one of the girls that was already waiting if I could go first because I made an appointment (Thanks to the kind girl who agreed!) I told her it was my first time and off she went. She did such an excellent job and was so gentle! Not only that, but she was so nice and quick too! I say within 5 minutes, I was done and my brows looked beautiful! No burns here! She even offered to put cream on my eyebrows but I declined...I just felt I didn't need it, my skin wasn't irritated in anyway. If you're a first time threader or even not, I totally recommend this place! From what I'm told, it's a little pricier than other threading places, but, seeing how the service and quality of work was done, I really don't mind paying the extra! It's all well worth it to me! They also offer other services like waxing, facials, henna, etc. Parking may be a problem but I guess that depends on the time of day and what day you go AND the place MAY be a LITTLE difficult to find, BUT I will definitely be back! Since, I could not book an appointment at the salon I normally attend in San Francisco, I decided to search for another nearby salon based on YELP reviews. I should've been patient, but I was overdue for some eyebrow maintenance! So, I've been to a couple salons specializing in threading around the Bay Area, where my experience was pleasant. RB's however was the WORST! The threading process was super PAINFUL!! I could feel each hair follicle being pulled out and I was tearing up. In the end, I was left with unexpectedly misshaped eyebrows and redness from the poor threading. If RB's was the first place for me to experience threading, I would never thread my eyebrows again!! First time I have gotten my eyebrows threaded. Definitely going back. Threading has so much better results than waxing. I don't know about other threading studios but Rb's is pretty legit. - good price ($15 for eyebrows), 10% off if it's your first time - nice friendly staff - clean environment - nice location (Burlingame Ave) - awesome results The only thing I did not like was that getting my brows threaded was probably the most painful experience ever, but "beauty is pain." I haven't plucked or waxed my eyebrows for over 3 months before getting them threaded (I wanted enough hair to have grown in order for the threading to be effective), and the lady managed to clean them up and give them great shape. 5 stars! read more

I came across this place thru yelp. I gave it a try saturday without any appointments and bella was gracious enough to accommodate me. I had to wait but not too long and when she did my brows and upper lip--it was pretty quick with wondeful results. i love it, less painful than waxing. I just got home from coming here for the first time. I read all the reviews and decided why not try out a new place before I head into work. For my first time it was ok. Quick and pretty painless. Although I could've had more attention paid to my overall care, such as moisturizing my eyebrows and cleaning up the pulled hairs from my face. Instead I had to wipe them away when I left and had to pluck a few unthreaded hairs. Overall because it was quick, the price was OK at $15, and my eyebrows look decent. I've had more done to me for $12 when getting my eyebrows waxed. I think next time I'll try another professional threader and see how they do. read more

I threaded for the first time after hearing it so much from my friends and coworkers. I even You Tubed just to see how this whole threading process works and i was determined to find a threader!! My fiance actually stumbled across the shops' sign as we were perusing the shops of Burlingame Ave on Saturday afternoon. I HAD to take a look for myself and sure enough, it was the same procedure i saw on You Tube being done on a client! :) I had to wait like 5 minutes and i was able to be seen! (not bad!) I forgot the gals name that did my brows, but she did an awesome job! It wasn't painful at all and i wasn't red or had any bumps like waxing does either! I'm hooked! Horrible! I asked for a clean-up, not only did I receive a clean-up.. I received two round/uneven eyebrows that I hate. I have many cuts around my top eyelids too!! Not only that.... the lady had poor hand hygiene and I was too upset to notice until after my eyebrows were finished. $16 for this subpar job. read more

Ruchi was great which is why I used to come here. She was fast and painless. Now there is a new employee who is pretty junior and inexperienced and doesn't take responsibility for her work. I have several cuts under my brow and it burns. She brushed it off as it was because I didn't hold my skin taut. Why didn't you say so? I can't see myself and it doesn't happen with other aestheticians. The woman who had her brows down before me told the aesthetician that she was trying to grow out one brow and the aesthetician made it thinner. She kept repeating how she didn't touch the brow other than the top. Well duh that will make it thinner after she repeated asked you not to touch that brow at all. I have been getting threading for about a year and was quite unhappy with my previous place but was not familiar with this business to try other places. So, it was such a pleasure to find Ruchi at this location (thru yelp, thank you). She did a fine job on my entire face. Price was reasonable compared to the previous place where I was charged different prices every time I had gone. Also, I didn't feel the wet thread here as I did at the other place from saliva. As I get older, I have been getting fuzz on my face unfortunately but now I have found the technique and the place to deal with it. The woman who worked tonight was not very good. Did not listen to what I wanted and I noticed she didn't listen to what the person before me wanted either. She made my eyebrows so thin and I commented on it and she told me it looked better on my face. I didn't ask her to make them thin, I asked her to do a cleanup and keep them thick. But because she didn't think they would look good she ignored me and did what she wanted, that's really bad customer service!!! read more

I walked in and my sister and I were ignored for 5 minutes because the employees were too busy laughing with each other. Finally, we were both seated in a chair. When I was trying to explain to my threading lady how I wanted my eyebrows done the other employee continued their conversation over me. Throughout the whole time we were being threaded they were constantly stopping to talk and laugh with each other. They did not listen to what we wanted done with our eyebrows and ended up making them uneven and the opposite of what I asked for. I will never come here again. read more
