Bought a compressor on eBay and Ron installed it in June 2013. No problems, fair price, and fast service (plus a few good jokes).

Just weird. Oh well. Response to Jacobs comments Jacob, you looked at project for 3 min before you told me it would be a nightmare and refuse even provide opinion as you just did on Yelp and explain why and have a conversation. The responses as followed: the ceiling cassette I told you I want to install parallel to the window, which is recommended location and if would blow air to the whole room, not even sure where you got this idea in will blow into wall and suck its own air. The heat pump I want to put next to the already installed HVAC condenser coil and it has plenty of room, recommended 4ft from each other, no snow there in this area so not sure where this idea came that it wouldn't heat, and heat pump doesn't work that way anyhow. The second unit connection to meet Mitsubishi recommendation for a min 2 units connection, I told you I am planning to build two more rooms there and second unit can be run to that area and placed there so later can be permanently moved in the new room. Again, you didn't even took time to look all, talk, to listen and to explain.

Although we haven't started the installation yet, Ryan came out to our cabin in Arnold and gave us one of the most professional and detailed estimates we've ever received. He took the time to explain every option for adding heating and air conditioning, walked us through the pros and cons of each system, and clearly explained why he recommended the solution he did. He patiently answered every question we had and never made us feel rushed. He also explained exactly how the estimate was put together. Since our cabin doesn't have existing ductwork, we knew it would be a significant investment. Ryan helped us understand how the labor, materials, and complexity of the installation all contribute to the cost, which gave us confidence in the proposal. What stood out most was how responsive, honest, and genuinely helpful he has been throughout the process. It is refreshing to work with someone who takes the time to educate his customers instead of simply trying to sell them something. We plan to move forward with Ryan and Murphys Heating & Air because of the confidence he has given us from day one. If you're looking for a contractor who is knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and easy to work with, I highly recommend giving Ryan a call. Great customer service like this is becoming harder to find, and he truly stands out.

Alpine Air installed a minisplit system in our new home, including an outside condenser and two…read morehead units. They did such a poor job that we ended up having to have it redone by a different company a year later. The condensate line PVC installed in the walls was muddy. It looked like it had been lying around in their yard. My husband replaced it with new PVC. Jason drilled random holes in our studs, then realized they were in the wrong place and redrilled. So now our studs that are supposed to support the house look like swiss cheese. He used the wrong size connection to the condenser line. He used electrical fittings to connect the split unit to the condensate line, not fittings that are meant for water. This is a huge leak risk inside a wall. He used a 3/4" roofing nail to attach the condenser to the concrete pad. We're in a very windy area and the whole thing could have easily blown over. There were greasy fingerprints all over the wall and several fins were crushed during the install. We had it cleaned by another local company and they tried their best to straighten out the fins but there was only so much they could do. The unit was also mounted too close to the side wall than installation instructions say, so that it was difficult to work on when we had a third company out to fix all the problems from Alpine's install. Everyone says go to Alpine. Maybe they had a different experience or maybe they're just not as picky about the details of the install. But Alpine is the one contractor in the area that I would never call again if my life depended on it.

We say we need it by Friday and her response " Tomorrow is July 3- Friday, we are closed !" Suffice it to say it is now August and we have NEVER even gotten out quote. Very Disappointed With the Service and How This Was Handled…read more I purchased a new A/C and furnace system from Honey's Air & Solar around 2022-2023, expecting that buying a new system would mean reliable equipment and good customer service. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience. About a year after the installation, in 2024, the system started leaking from a flare. Honey's came out, repaired the flare, and added Freon. Since then, I've had a friend who owns a local HVAC company replace my air filter every six months and check the system, so I have continued to maintain it. Around July of this year, I noticed water coming through the sheetrock around the furnace. I removed the filter and found that it was wet. I also noticed condensation on the copper lines, with water dripping onto the filter. The bottom of the filter housing had filled with water, causing damage to my drywall and the surrounding area. I called Honey's Air & Solar to explain what was happening, and instead of feeling like they were interested in helping me figure out why a relatively new system was leaking again, I was accused of neglecting the system and essentially told it was my fault. They eventually sent out a technician, Chris. He couldn't find an obvious leak at the time, but told me the system appeared to be leaking again and that he needed to add Freon and dye so they could hopefully locate the leak later. I was told the service call would be $89 plus the Freon, which came out to around $122. I was also told they would need to return to locate the leak. Then on 8/1/26, I received a message from Marina saying that my $12.99 service plan payment had failed. I was confused because I had never knowingly signed up for a service plan. When I questioned it, I was told, essentially, "You signed for it, so you did." The way this was communicated came across as very condescending and rude. If I had been properly informed about the service plan and what I was agreeing to, I may have considered keeping it, but after that interaction, I told them I didn't want it. Now I'm being told that just coming back to locate the leak will cost $725. And if they determine that it's a new leak, I'm being told the repair could cost more than $2,000. This is what I find extremely frustrating: this is supposed to be a new system. It has already had a leak in the past, has been maintained, and is now leaking again and causing water damage inside my home. I will give Anthony, the service manager, credit for offering to cut the leak-search charge in half. I appreciate that gesture, but I'm still left wondering why I'm facing hundreds or potentially thousands of dollars in costs on a relatively new system that has already had problems. My biggest issue isn't simply the money. It's the way this situation has been handled and the feeling that the responsibility is being pushed onto the homeowner rather than Honey's standing behind the system they sold and installed. If you're considering purchasing a new HVAC system, I strongly recommend asking very detailed questions about the warranty, service plan, leak repairs, and exactly what costs you could be responsible for if something goes wrong after the first year. At this point, I expected much better from a company that sold me a new HVAC system.
