They're newly opened and not that busy, but they're built for a large crowd. It's primarily a sports bar with a bunch of big screen tv's and a lot of tables inside and outside. The outside has a bunch of tables with fire pits in the center so it's a great place for groups and outside gatherings. The food is typical sports bar fare including wings, nachos, burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc. I ordered the clam chowder to start since it was a chef's special and it was a little cold. It was tasty with a lot of clams. It was different than most clam chowders I've had because it was a little tangy and not as creamy. For my meal, I ordered the patty melt. The grilled onions were perfectly caramelized and added a lot flavor to the burger Patty. The sourdough was toasted and crunchy and the cheese melted nicely onto sandwich. The curly fries served with the melt were very crispy and soft and light inside. I would come back just for the fries. The service was very good, but the restaurant was fairly empty so there wasn't much to do for the waiter. But at least he was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. The owner also made a visit to our table to check on things. He was appreciative of our patronage and invited us to come back. I hope the place succeeds because I could be a regular here. I'll be back. read more

We had wonderful service from Erin for our party of 6 on a Friday eve for HH. Nice big patio with plenty of heaters. We sat there for almost 3 hours & all the servers kept checking on us while refilling our waters. They were moving heaters around to accommodate all tables & working hard. Best deal was a good pour of wine for $6. We ordered wings & salad. Presentation of wings wasn't great but they were tasty as was the ranch dressing. Vintage Vinyl band started playing at 6:30 & we really enjoyed them. Fun spot & will be back. Went back again on Fri night & had great service from Brett. This place is so fun! Living in Irvine the live music vibe is VERY hard to find, if even allowed anywhere. Drive 5 minutes out of town and welcome to Center Bar and Grill, and it does not disappoint. It's located in a shopping center, at the tail end of a outdoor covered food court. Tucked away to bring you privacy with the feel of outdoors, what a dream location. They have a stage with live music every Saturday (starting at 6:30pm) and it is lit! Food menu is what you would expect, burgers are huge and flatbread pizza's are amazing. We had a party of 20+ people once and were accommadated perfectly. The service was quick and we felt very taken care of. Yes they get busy at night but are there when you need them. Yes, it still new(ish) but they are on their game with the best hospitality in the area. If you want a fun Saturday night with good vibes, yummy food and great music look no further than Center Bar and Grill. We were excited for the rebrand of RC Watering Hole. While we really liked the previous owner of Center Bar & Grille, the space definitely needed an overhaul. After the new ownership took over, my fiancé stopped in once and had a great conversation with the owner's daughter about her rescue dogs. Since we're also passionate about rescue, that connection made us want to support the restaurant even more. Today, we went with our two rescue huskies. The service was decent and the food was good. Unfortunately, what happened next will probably keep us from coming back. About 30 minutes after we left, we realized my fiancé thought I had signed the check, but I hadn't. Not only had we left without signing or tipping (an honest mistake), but his credit card was also missing. When we returned, the server still had the unsigned receipt--but no card. She didn't recognize my fiancé. The owner brought out all the cards they had, but ours was nowhere to be found. Now, we have to freeze the card and deal with the inconvenience, and there's no guarantee the tip adjustment will go through. It just leaves a bad taste in our mouths. Even if it was an honest mistake, it's unsettling that a card could disappear so quickly after being left behind. Good food and decent service, but the lack of care in handling something as important as a customer's credit card is a dealbreaker. read more

Wow this place is so great for a group outing with friends and family. It's very spacious with a good menu. They have great weekend bands, an outdoor patio with heat lamps, and an indoor area that's family friendly with a grand piano (hmmm, possibly a future piano recital location??). The owner Matt is so personable and friendly & I can tell they're really going out of their way to make this a great experience for their customers. Support local small businesses! When we asked why, he stated there was a regular at the bar that wanted to watch soccer. Get this, he then told us we could leave. Literally, new owner came over to table and introduced himself and stated, "I'm RC the owner, if you don't like it...you can leave." Just Classic! So we paid the check and left. Caught the 9th inning (and spent our money) at another local bar that actually gets what a sports bar is. You can change the name, but it's still the same poorly managed wannabe sports bar. We went here with Ada and another friend with a dog. There's a covered area with heat lamps and TV screens outside where we were able to sit with the dogs. They let us sit wherever we wanted outside and offered the dogs water right away. We got a few drinks and a burger, patty melt and the fish and chips. Food, drinks and service were all good! We were truly disappointed last night to be informed while we were enjoying our drinks prior to ordering food that we would be charged an additional $20 for the band. The bartenders were great but were enforcing this unfortunate rule from the management. As a sports bar establishment should not be charging additional fees once a patron is already there. I can understand a cover charge once the band starts but customers that are there prior to the band playing or setting up should not be charged. Again, very disappointed to know that this establishment has lost our business due to unnecessary additional fees. read more

Not sure what's happening there but it's still Peppinos with lipstick on it with all the old restaurants decorations . The decor was weak, and had terrible drinks we sent back..and the " food " was the worst . No flavor. Too salty and uneatable !!! We used to go there a lot for the food and the music but will not be retuning. Our server, Colin, was great; the food was good BUT the music was SO loud. What really turned us off though was the manager's total disregard for his guests. We commented on the loudness and he completely disregarded us with no courtesy or even the slightest regard. The food is disgusting here! I got the chicken (undercooked) fettuccine pasta (literally olive oil, Parmesan cheese with salt/pepper) definitely not fettuccine pasta. My friend got the "grilled" shrimp tacos. Service was fast maybe that's why my chicken was undercooked. The waitress was super nice ana attentive but should have looked at the food before she brought it out to the table. The shrimp looked like they just microwaved it (frozen shrimp- did not look fresh at all). We had to return it because it was not edible. We ordered fries and it was decent. Then we asked for the wine menu and walked to the patio with it, and were told it would be $20 "cover charge" for my husband and I to stay! It was past nine, the band had one more set, and we were going to get drinks. SO rude. Bartender was rude and not knowledgeable at all, and the waitresses who came over and asked for $20 each from us.... well, we will not be back. We left. Nowhere in OC is there a $20 cover charge, let alone at that time of night or when we planned to get drinks as well. ALSO: There was NO SIGNAGE to indicate that there was a cover charge ANYWHERE. I was on my way to grab a quick dinner from one of the other restaurants in the center, when the glare from several huge flatscreen TVs caught my husbands eye and we stumbled upon the Center Bar during its soft open. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a new sports bar was opening in our foothill ranch community. As far as sports bars go, there's not many great options in this area - after our experience tonight, we are looking forward to making the Center our new hangout! I'm so excited to have a new spot where I can enjoy a good drink, watch sports and get to know the neighbors and locals. The boss, Hoss, was extremely friendly and welcoming, and asked for feedback on our visit as he prepares for their grand opening. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower, flatbread and black bean sliders - standard bar food but it did not disappoint. The bar also has a good sized selection of beer, wine and liquor. We are eager to see this bar/restaurant thrive and enjoy Sunday football and happy hours during the week. After finishing up some shopping, we stopped at the food court at Foothill Ranch Towne Center. We were walking past Center Bar & Grill and I commented to my husband that we COULD stop in for a drink. As I said this, an employee of Center Bar & Grill was heading inside, and he invited us in. It was a Monday, wild card playoffs night, and some of the big screens were showing the game while others offer the cozy ambiance of a fireplace. We ordered some drinks, got the chili (me), clam chowder (husband), and a side of fries. Everything was super tasty (recommend the chili and the Mamba drink!!!) and hot! Best of all was the service that Isaiah provided. He was friendly, accommodating without interfering, and just all-around awesome! Unfortunately, I love to support our local businesses, but given that we became ill after eating here I cannot recommend this place. My friend ordered the fettuccine chicken Alfredo. She said the dish was oily and bland, it didn't sit well. She threw up her food behind a bush in the parking lot. The cook forgot my order so I was the only one without a meal while everyone else ate. (I get it, it happens, but we were the only ones dining at that time). My meal finally arrived, the burger tasted fine going down, but disgusting coming back up. I left the restaurant with an upset stomach and felt awful the rest of the evening. I tried to sleep it off, but I ended up hanging over the toilet in the middle of the night losing my meal (gross). My son ordered the tri-tip, but he didn't like it so he didn't finish it (thankfully). Afterwards, he told us it had a weird taste and he also had an upset stomach. We ordered the kids' pizza for my toddler he didn't like it. It tasted like a reheated frozen pizza from Wal-Mart. He refused to eat any of the other food, fortunately, because he was the only one who didn't become ill. The waiter (nice guy) recommended the coconut shrimp, but sadly it came burnt and dry. The cheese sticks were undercooked. The flatbread pizza tasted terrible nobody ate it. Not a pleasant way to spend your hard-earned money and ruin your sleep for you and your loved ones. Very sad and disappointing as I was very hopeful for this place. I hope they can get it together. We need a good local bar and grill in our community. read more

We came in on a Friday night to have some drinks and listen to music. The service was awful!!! The waitress didn't know what an Old Fashioned was and told us she doesn't drink. My husband asked if they have any desserts and was told no, only to see what looked like an ice cream sundae of some sorts be delivered to the table next to us. The Old fashion we received was terrible!! They don't know how to make the most basic of cocktail drinks. It took forever to get the bill!
