The shoes costed $51 something with tax. I thought it was a little pricey but I just wanted to get over the school shopping list and head on home. We got home she tried them on and they were super tight! Went in today to return them and they said they were non returnable (it did say that on the receipt) but did not notice that until today, we could only exchange to make matters worst they did not have any bigger size of the one we had chosen. Their selections are limited. So we just settled for a different color pair and the size that actually for her from this store location was a size 6. Found it weird since she's only 8 yrs. My point is ... I've came to this location several times before and never had any issues, yes it's my fault for not taking my kid to try them on before making any type of purchase and for not reading the return policy. I would just recommend to go to an actual Vans store or Tillys or any other store that will return your money because they could have been cheaper. I don't think I've spent more than $45 including tax on Vans but at least if I was not happy with my purchase I would be guaranteed money back and more and better selections.

However, I noticed that the moment my son walked in, Yuri approached him and asked if she could help him. He told her he was there for new shoes but did not know his size, so she took him over to measure his feet and figure out the right fit. I know she could not see me (my vehicle has tinted windows), so this was just Yuri being a thoughtful and attentive person, not someone who was trying to impress a parent. My son's feet are in that awkward in-between stage... too big for kids' sizes, but with limited options in the first size of men's shoes. I walked in just as Yuri had finished measuring his feet and was patiently listening to him explain what kind of shoes he was hoping to find. Every style he liked was unavailable in his size, so each time, Yuri looked it up in the system and then went into the backstock to try to locate it for him. While waiting, my son started (intentionally) sliding around on the floor in his socks like Tom Cruise in Risky Business... and even though I was losing my patience with him, Yuri never did. She stayed kind, polite, and helpful the entire time. Thanks to her, we walked out with four pairs of shoes he liked (instead of the 2 we initially planned on). Yuri's professionalism was wonderful, and her patience was next-level GREAT. I could not have been more impressed or more thankful to have her assisting us.
