Overall, prices were a bit on the high side, but the quality of items in the store seemed really good. There was also a nice selection of higher end Aspen branded clothing perfect for souvenirs along with some designer items. Where things really impressed us however is that upon laundering my wife's pants for the first time a few weeks later (once we were sure we were done skiing for the year), a zipper pull failed on them in such a way that one of the side pockets was pretty much rendered impossible to use. I reached out to the store via email and they offered me a full refund upon shipping the pants back to them, no questions asked. Yes, we were disappointed the pants failed, but at the same time I greatly appreciate the fact that they stood by the quality of their clothes this way. In this day and age you often are literally just screwed if something like this happens. You cannot go wrong shopping here.

I have been a big fan of these guys for years, but we had a rough week with them. I'm hosting 12…read moredifferent guests across a 12-day period and sent them all to Base Mountain Sports because of their good prices, great staff and flexible pick-ups across their four locations. On two different mornings, I got our guests up early to go to the Avon Wyndham location to get skis, boots and poles... and no one was there. We went twice both mornings between 8:15 and 9:00 (posted opening hours are 8:00)... and lights were out with no indication if anyone was ever coming in that day. That's a rough way to start your day and adds time by having to go to another location and then argue with staff to honor the lower Wyndham location prices now that we had to pick up in Beaver Creek Village or Lionshead. One morning, I spoke to a manager at Lionshead who took the feedback seriously and even reported back to me at the end of that day that he'd gone to the Wyndham location to check things out -- and I appreciated that. Hoping you can figure out the start time issues because we've traditionally gotten good service from these folks.
