The space is big too with sufficient shade for guests. Seating tends to fill up quick (especially in the shade), so finding a place to store your things and grab a seat may get a bit difficult later in the day. But overall, it's a nice place to spend some time and cool off!

I felt like I was being monitored the entire visit by overly controlling lifeguards. The office employee at the front was very nice, but once you get inside, the atmosphere becomes uncomfortable. At one point I was barked at to move because some kids needed to take a swim test. Later, my granddaughter was swimming, so I got in the pool with her because she had to wear a red wristband due to her age--even though she swims perfectly well. I was standing on the pool steps in the water, but the lifeguard insisted I had to be fully "in the pool water." I don't understand why it matters whether I'm standing or sitting on the step, especially since I had been sitting there earlier with no issue. I used to bring my own children to this pool years ago, and people seemed much happier then. You were expected to swim back and forth, not take a formal swim test like you're training for the Olympics. Please do better, Poway. I pay taxes for this pool, and it feels like the people who get the most benefit from it are the lap swimmers and swim classes.

Big shoutout and thank you to Matthew at Aquaguard Pool Fences! I shopped around with several pool…read morefence vendors, but I could tell pretty quickly that I'd be moving forward with Matthew. From the start, he was honest, transparent, and never once used high-pressure sales tactics (which I really appreciate). His quote came in fair compared to others I received, and he took the time to really understand our needs. We needed the fence as part of the process to become resource parents for San Diego County foster youth, and Matthew was incredibly thoughtful in helping us make sure everything aligned with CA code requirements. He even encouraged us to confirm details with our social worker and was flexible when we hit a small curveball with elevation changes from a nearby step. Installation day was seamless, about 4 hours for 136 feet of 5-foot fencing, and the finished product looks amazing (pictures don't lie!). He also went above and beyond by cleaning up the area, walking us through how everything works, and making sure we felt comfortable using the gate and removable sections. What really stood out was how easy and genuine he was to work with, it felt more like talking to a friend than a vendor. Plus, the lifetime warranty is a huge bonus and something we didn't see with other companies. I highly recommend Aquaguard and Matthew if you're looking for quality work, professionalism, and someone who truly cares about getting it right.

We scheduled the install for the following week and everything went perfectly. He was on time, very professional, and did an outstanding job. Worth the price of my monthly HOA lol. My kiddos can stay here for hours and would probably do so if they had the choice. I like that it's walking distance from our home and that it's never too crowded. Yes, it's close to the Boys and Girls Club so there tends to be a good amount of traffic but it is still a safe place. I'll be back for sure.

Walking…read morethrough it during the pandemic was a breath of fresh air, both literally and metaphorically. This park is conveniently located in 4S Ranch and right next to the Boy's club. One of the most delightful features of 4S Ranch community park is its provision of large tables and chairs, perfect for hosting parties and gatherings. For SD hiking ladies group, this park has become more than just a place to walk--it's a go-to party destination. We hosted our White Elephant holiday party here three years in a row. One of the park's standout features is its very decent and clean restroom facilities--a rarity in many outdoor settings. Another major draw for the hiking ladies group is the park's plentiful parking. However, as seasoned visitors of the park know, there's one caveat to keep in mind--the weekend sports event at the nearby boys' club. For anyone planning a big party, I suggest you to keep an eye on the schedule of sports events happening at the nearby boys' club.
