This place is a little shop that you wouldn't notice unless you looked for it. It doesn't really look very appealing, but you won't come here for the looks. It's all about the reputation and the meat! We forgot to call ahead. They were nice enough to put our burgers through before the lunch rush of call ins were due. Needless to say, they prepped the burgers for four of us pretty quick, 10mins. I had the 1lb pugger. It was easily a two hander. The burger is pretty simple, the sauce they added gave the burger tons of flavour. The bacon gave it an extra kick. Not just a couple tiny slices either. GREAT value!! Small place, no seating. Menu is interesting. Not the place for the weight watcher types. Greasy, but tastey food. Located in a grubby part of town BUT they guys prepared my order so fast that I didn't have to hang around there for more than 10 mins. Complete fan of the Pugger Burger. The interior of the place is very small and do not have seating. The burger was actually juicy and tasted amazing & they added enough fries to make you happy. Extensive menu - including deals just written on bristol board hung in the store windows. ((There were actually an immense amount of flies/little mosquitoes buzzing around the store - but my boyfriend said it was a customary thing & we didn't get sick from our food)) & an order takes an average of 10 minutes (and 45 minutes during lunch) to make as they always seem to have people picking up/in line. read more

What happened to this place!?!? Was always what I considered a "dive" but it had fantastic food! The Pugger was big and their gravy was awesome. Now the Pugger is this flat piece of hamburger that the edges all crumble off on a crappy bun and very bland gravy. We ordered and picked up and was very surprised to see how dirty the place looked infront and behind the counter, no hairnets on the YOUNG guys cooking and they were handling the uncooked meat with bare hands and with the same hands putting cheese in the cooked burgers. I ordered from here a few months ago. Had them deliver. It was my very first order from them. We ordered 2 burgers with fries. Both burgers were black. I don't mean overcooked, I mean black, charcoal, cinders. Fries were freezing. I called them to complain and was told I would get my next order at 50% off. Of course that didn't help me that night. We went out to eat instead. I've never ordered from them since. I was discusted that a cook would actually send out 2 black burgers to a customer and consider that fine. This place reminds me of any little summer hotdog/hamburg stand except it has quite an extensive menu. They have your regular stuff, but I had the fried pickles (decent not great), and the suicide chicken sandwich, (also good but not very suicide!) Place is also famous for the 1lb pugger burger, which I have not tried as of yet. Interesting little spot for a reasonable price, with good portions. My husband and I go to ONeils once in awhile and I would have to say I'm a little disappointed this time. It use to be when ordered a Pugger Burger you got a good burger and onion rings. Not any more I got fries instead and when I called back I was told that "oh the boss changed that about a month ago I guess I forgot to tell you" I can honestly say I don't think that I will be going back anytime soon. I'm only giving this place one star because I had to. I visited O'Neill's recently after driving by it so many times, curious about the fare. I ordered the 1lb Pugger. The guy cooking takes a frozen 1lb beef patty and puts it on the grill. I assumed it would be dry and I was right. I cut it up for the kids to try and they were like, "ooh the Pugger!" Used to eat here all the time but it has been a few years so we thought we would give a try tonight. We went in to order and the store looked to be in shambles. I broken white lawn chair by the door, filthy floors, paper everywhere, faded menus and advertisements, the counter tops were lined with dirt... not a good first impression however - knowing the food was good a couple years ago, we looked the other way and ordered anyway. 30 minute wait, and then our order was ready. Took it home only to find out this was a HUGE mistake!! Our order was accurate but wow... the poutine was dry, barely any gray or cheese at all, we may as well have ordered plain fries. And worst of all, our burgers were RAW!! No problem - we thought we would just call the store, let them know what happened and hopefully have them deliver us a cooked meal - everyone would be happy. NOPE!! Manny, the wonderful manager that he is, took my call and told me repeatedly that my burger could not be raw because they cook them to a certain temperature and there was no way they could make a mistake about it. He insisted this was my problem - not his (in hos words exactly)!! He then told me to bring back the raw burgers and he would replace them (that was at least decent of him) but when I said I was not coming all the way back there after having waited 30 minutes and then driving home and I requested he send a driver and we would gladly return the raw burgers that had only 1 bite out of them, he immediately told me that he was not sending a driver as this was not his problem. When I mentioned social media - HE LAUGHED AT ME!! That's right folks - HE LAUGHED - thought me spending my money on a $40 raw hamburger was funny. Well Manny... I hope you don't treat all your customers this way or soon enough you will be out of business. You are rude, disrespectful and certainly need some customer service training! I am a VP of Operations of customer service company and your behaviour today makes me thankful for the fantastic staff I have - all polar opposites of YOU! This restaurant USED to be good. Sadly, it doesn't even deserve the 1 star I gave it now-a-days. It's damn near impossible to get thru on the phone to place an order. They simply don't answer the phone. If you finally get thru, it takes quite a long time for delivery. Chances are they screwed up your order and when you call back to complain, they hang up on you (that's if they even bother to answer in the first place!). I had tried their burgers a few years back & was disappointed but I believe in giving 2nd chances so I returned about a month ago & ordered a regular burger w/onion rings & my spouse ordered the 'Pugger Burger' w/fries. Possibly the worst service ever. Ordered 2 meals one I was over charged for since they punched it in wrong, my salad was wilted and brown. My burger did not come with peameal bacon although that is what I ordered and paid for. On top of all of that none of the workers wore hair nets, including the females with long hair, one of them fixed their hair and continued making someone's food. O'neils is a takeout only place. There is no seating and barely any parking so just be aware of that. The food is great, the type of thing you would see on man vs. food. Probably the absolute worst experience I have ever had with ordering out. My sister called an order in at 6pm and was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour wait as it was Saturday. After an hour and a half she called back and asked where our food was only to be laughed at and told it would be there in an hour. It arrived just after 8pm and was disgusting. We had 2 orders of fries and they were still frozen in the middle. Called twice to ask for new fries and no one answered, we finally decided to go down there. When we got there all the workers were sitting around on cellphones and gave attitude when we asked for the manager. The manager was then very rude upon hearing our problem and told us that's how the fries are made on Saturdays as they are very busy. We asked for new fries, he said it would be awhile so we decided we just wanted our money back. He said no because we didn't bring the burger back with us, when I pointed out the burger was the only thing cooked properly he asked why I was there complaining then. Bottom line rude service, a 10 minute argument to get my money back and an overall horrible experience. I will never go back here again as this wasn't the first problem I've had read more

I normally love O'Neils, until today, We ordered 3 dublin deluxe, one Quarter Pounder with Cheese, side order of onion rings, cheddar cheese balls and mozzarella sticks and a med gravy. $65 with delivery. alright I'm good with that, the cheese balls are amazing. so we order at 5pm, and wait, 2 hours goes by and our food has arrived! alright I know its a Tuesday night and it can be busy so I can deal with the 2 hours, its not uncommon for this place. first they forgot the debit machine, ok no problem, then we open the bags and are missing items. and our food is ice cold! we call and complain and are told to Microwave our dinner! they offered a credit that we felt was completely unfair. even if they offered our food at half price I would of taken it, instead we had to send the food back with the delivery company. 65$ and 2 hours and that is what we are told! it sucks! we love O'neils and are so disappointed with this service! unfortunetly we will not order again from O'Neils @ Barton ST read more
