Yelp has a great feature that helps you find a businesses to help with certain needs. I created a project request on Yelp and was expecting to get a response in the morning when shops are open. To my surprise Quick Auto Glass responded to me within 10 mins. They gave me an estimate and the time of their business hours. They open at 8am and I arrived at 8:30. There was only one guy at the shop and he spoke little English but immediately got on the phone and told his partner I was there and gave him my vehicle information. He then told me "window on way" and he started vacuuming up the broken glass and doing the prep work. About an hour later his partner arrived with my window and with the prep work done he was able to install the window in about 10 mins. I was charged the estimated price I was given, plus tax of course. My only complaint is when I got home and was looking over everything I noticed a good amount of glass still under my seat. I have learned that whenever if ever I chose to deal with Safelite again, I will definitely chose to have the tech come to my house instead of me going to the shop I'm not sure if the shop was overwhelmed and I had learned that there was no manager at that particular shop, things had gotten somewhat out of hand. Customers were yelling at the techs in which the customer told us to check out windshield before we drove off- I failed to do so. Thanks to Patrick having come to my home after having made MANY phone calls- even to the general store manager and almost to the VP- it was about to go there! Now my car looks presentable again! The next morning I brought the car in and, what do you know, my base model 2017 Equinox had some rare type of window that can't be found anywhere (just my luck). However, Vincent brought me into his office and spent 30 minutes calling all of his suppliers seeing if anybody had the window (and if it wasn't local, who could get it there the fastest). He did not need to go above and beyond like he did, but his guidance was greatly appreciated. Advice: don't get a carwash after you get a chip. A small chip will grow by at least a foot. The price he charged me was fair and it took a little more than an hour. He gave me two options for glass and I picked the cheaper one. He told me they are both more or less the same and made by the same companies. I paid $220 which was far less than the other quotes I got. He told me to not get a car wash for at least 24 hrs or any other pressure washing.
