I had to get my breaks check as it was making a noise. They inspect it and said it was a loose pin…read morethat they just pushed it back in and called it a fix? I go to pick it up, as im leaving i hear that noise again. So i have to bring it back the next day. They then say that pin destroyed the break disk and what not. I said how come u didnt fix this yesterday when you did the inspection. Turns out they didnt do the full inspection but charged me for it. They said the breaks i had on wear at 90 percent and threw them away anyways? Now that the break is fixed they knocked off a weight from the tire and now i have to pay for a balance? Im back there again cause now they said i need new ball joints and controll arms. I spent almost a month waiting on my parts to get in and went threw three different price quotes? Than i make a 700 dollar purchase with the 24 month payment plan. They screwed that up and i had to pay it right away? I'm very upset at this whole thing. To make me pay for new breaks when the old ones were still at 90%. To pay for a break inspection and them not do that and have to come back the next day for the same whole thing is just plain stupid. Also why would i pay for a balance when you guys knocked off the weight during the break change, stuff like this just makes me so mad. I will be changing where i take my vechile to now as this is just straight up bull crap. Theres more but im to upset to continue with this?

I recently visited Canadian Tire to purchase paint, and unfortunately the experience was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. When we were ready to make our selection, there was no one at the paint desk. We pressed the call button, waited, and no one came. Eventually we found another employee who informed us that the staff member responsible for the paint desk was on break. That was completely understandable, and we were more than willing to wait. What wasn't acceptable was what happened next. Ken, who appeared to be a supervisor or manager, asked the employee on break to cut it short and return to the desk. The young man, Amay (apologies if the spelling is incorrect), came right away and was extremely polite and apologetic. We even told him we were sorry he had to interrupt his break. A mistake happened while mixing the paint colour, and Amay immediately acknowledged it and called for assistance. When Ken arrived, instead of offering support, he was dismissive and rude toward Amay. While Amay tried to explain that he wasn't sure what had gone wrong, Ken cut him off with, "I don't know how to use this machine," in a tone that was unprofessional and unhelpful. The issue wasn't the mistake -- those happen. The issue was the lack of support for an employee who was clearly trying his best, and the overall lack of customer service from management. Amay handled the situation with far more professionalism than his supervisor did. This experience left a very negative impression, and it's disappointing to see a staff member treated that way in front of customers. I do want to give a 5-star review to Amay, had it not been for him we would have walked away from the purchase.

Winners is a weird store. Not weird as in bad, just weird as in I either go to Winners and want to…read morebuy everything or I go in, and want to buy nothing and leave disgusted. My most recent visit to Winners in Leduc was scenario A (want to buy everything). Winners is a discount store (so they say) that has deals on a wide variety of products from clothes to cosmetics to accessories to home decor to candy to toys. I've been to several Winners before and sometimes the deals are really awesome, but other times the Winners price isn't that great of a deal. It kind of depends on what you're looking for, and on the original retail price of the item your looking at. I just say this because it's easy to look and go "omg 50% off" and want to buy everything, but not everything is that great of a deal. That being said I do generally like Winners. I don't usually find much in the clothing department, just because their plus size selection is limited to one rack, but I always like browsing the accessories and the purses and handbags at Winners. The have some random brands I don't recognize, but then ones I do like Guess. On my last visit, I found a nice, basic gray over the shoulder purse that is perfect for traveling, and it was only $25, which seems like a great deal to me. I also really like browsing the home department section at Winners because they have cool home decor stuff, but it isn't just double decker bus figures and Buddha statues, there's more practical home stuff. Case in point the 6 pack fo wooden hangers for pants that I got. Winners can be quite busy, particularly on weekends or after holidays, but Leduc's Winners is nice. It's a decent size (not quite as big as some of the ones in Edmonton) and it's always clean and well organized. The staff are pretty friendly, and even when being the 15th person in line for the checkout counter it doesn't take too long to check out. I don't always shop at Winners, but I generally like it when I do.

I am a fan of Winners in general, but the Leduc store doesn't quite make the grade for me. This…read morelocation offers the normal things that you would expect to find in a Winners such as hair products, mens, ladies, and childrens fashion, home decor, etc. but I find that the selection of products is just not as good as other stores that I visit. The selection of products and especially sizes of clothing is consistently limited and picked over at the Leduc store. This store does have a clearance section, but I find that it is usually filled with broken items that are not really discounted at all. My recommendation would be to go to one of the Winners locations in Edmonton as the selection in these stores tends to be better.
