Food: Breakfast Burritos (8/10): We got the chorizo, egg, potatos, and cheese. It was quite greasy, but you can expect that with Chorizo. It came with a green and red sauce which had a kick to it. The flavor combination of the burrito and sauces was amazing!! I wish the potato flavor stood out a bit more, seemed like it lacked potatoes. Go here at your own risk. This is only the second or third negative review I've ever wrote about a business, as it's realized this is how people support themselves/families, which shouldn't be taken lightly. However, as others have mentioned, I can confirm the food is overpriced, the staff needs improvement in customer service, and they are sneaky about the 15% tip. To the owners: I actually believe in tipping small businesses, especially those that are local. However, this practice you chose to adopt is not a good look. And yes, it is sneaky when your staff intentionally tears the itemized receipt before giving it to the customer for review. Again, come at your own risk. read more

Came here for lunch with my dad and the food was good, but not the best I have had. I had the Mexican torta and it was lacking in flavor. Serving size was large, but overall flavor was lacking. The fries served are dull and were not fried for long enough. I was really sad they didn't have horchata. One thing I loved was that they brought out chips, salsa, and queso. I am a huge cheese lover so I appreciated this but the cheese was very basic and a little watery. Service was below average. First of all, my dad speaks Spanish and I do not. This was obvious when I would order and ask questions in English but our waitress insisted in speaking Spanish to me forcing me to attempt to understand her. I know she speaks English because at one point she got impatient with my sad attempt to understand her, and translated her sentence in English. Keep in mind, after this, she went back to fluent Spanish. We also didn't get a drink refill until leaving. Just ordered 5 El Pastor street tacos, 5 fajita street tacos and 2 bean tostadas. I'm so mad I didn't take pictures. There was hardly any meat on the El Pastor. Both meats were so dry, the tortilla shells were dry and stale! Who doesn't serve cilantro and limes with their street tacos? They don't! Onions and lemons. I asked for extra cilantro and lime and they didn't say anything about being out. How can you mess up bean tostadas, you really can't. But they were just okay! We will go a little farther out to Meso Maya as their food is 100% better than Real Mexican Tacos. read more

If you love Trompo as much as I do, than this is the best spot. The trompo tacos come with fresh pork, cilantro, onions, taco sauce, and of course pineapple! So many places that claim to have trompo, don't have the pineapple. Trompo is not Trompo without pineapple. This is a great place for authentic mexican tacos. I've now visited this place twice and I have mixed feelings about it overall. Looks: The inside of the location is clean with a pretty simple layout. It's nothing to right home about, but sometimes simplicity is best Service: The service here is decent, people are pretty welcoming, and don't act like they are bothered, I do believe they are more comfortable with Spanish than English just based on how they attempt to describe menu items, but I was fine with it. I know some Spanish. Drinks: They all everything your heart desires...except horchata, which broke my heart, but the available drink selection was good. Food: I really enjoy the quesadillas here, and will probably be the reason I come back. If you're looking for good street tacos, pastor is the best bet. I'd skip on chicken, it's a little dry. Also picking corn tortillas can be a shortcoming as well, they don't taste as fresh as the flour, and sadly I'm not the biggest fan of flour so I was a little let down. As far as salsas go, you can't go wrong with either one! The food was still really good, but man it took a long time to get it.. first they brought out the wrong order then never brought my gf her rice and beans. Lastly, they never came back to refill our drinks or even ask if we were doing okay or needed anything. My gf had to go up to the bar just to ask for a refill on her drink. Oh and then they had the audacity to still try to charge us for rice and beans that they never brought out. The waitress was hovering when she brought the ticket out which was super weird and uncomfortable. She didn't do it to any other table except ours. I visited this Mexican taco place the other day. The to go presentation isn't the best but these tacos are full of meat and very flavorful. I order two beef, one chicken, one trompo on corn tortillas. However, I got my order checked it and took a bite. The meat was luke warm. And my churro was thrown in a separate bag not wrapped in foil. How does that happen? I had to ask for the churro be wrapped. But over all it was delicious! The food was okay. It was not the best Mexican food I have had over the years. It was a little disappointing.

First time here and it was really good. Service was great. Little loud but still able to have a normal conversation. I got one of every taco they had just to get the full experience. My favorite was the. Barbacoa. Great flavor all the way around. My least favorite was the shredded beef. Really greasy and flavor was not that great. That is just my personal opinion. Wife had the 3 taco plate with rice and beans. She liked it but said the beans were just flat and bland. Kids had quesadillas one beef one cheese. Not bad. Had plenty of cheese and they ate all of it. Only thing the kids didn't like was the "chips" and salsa. They have mini fried tortillas (that you have to break to get chips)that some were crispy and some were soggy and couldn't chew and the salsa was hot to hot for the kids. It did have a nice heat to it. All in all it was a great bite. Great new taste in Mesquite and we will be back. read more

This place wasn't very good. Mexican food doesn't have to be extremely greasy to be good. They were maybe having a bad day in the kitchen the day we went. The flautas were so greasy they dripped oil. The meat in the taco was suspect and bland. My husband grew up eating Mexican food in Texas and I grew up eating Mexican food in California. We both took a few bites and were done. Absolutely horrible service me and my family have been coming here for years and have never had such a uncomfortable experience- two young ladies were running the front end but only one would talk to you- the other was standoffish and not friendly in any sense of the word. Felt like I was interrupting them even though it was 1pm and they close at 10pm.Never gave us any chips and salsa even after requesting it, did not ask how we wanted our eggs on our dish, failed to check up on us at all. Both ladies seemed more interested in speaking to a single man at the bar who was not ordering food. I got the enchiladas which I get everywhere and have never been more disappointed salsa was plain- like canned tomato sauce with zero spice- beans were saltier than the ocean and the rice was over cooked or maybe just stale from being used the day before. Ate here for the first time. Went for a friend's birthday. Ordered the fajita nachos. Thought it would be safe since I've never been to the place before. I asked for guacamole on the side and at first was brought to me in top. Sent it back. Finally got my food and the chips were STALE! Also the meat was very bland and there was no lettuce even though the menu said there would be. My wife ordered the taco salad and asked for fajita meat instead of chicken. She got both and the chicken was very dry and no flavor. Our server was terrible. Hardly checked on us. Never gave a refill and we asked for chips and salsa. Never got it. The food was great per my husband it's pretty authentic I had the Camaron Diabla which was a big plate with rice salad fries & bread didn't see the fries on the menu description but it was great I had leftovers for tomorrow's work. My husband Mario had the Carne Asada which he said the leftover meat he wanted for breakfast in the morning with some scrambled eggs on the side. They are a reasonably priced place it sits in a little strip mall & you have to just look for the sign among the other little joints around here. They serve beer & per my husband we will definitely be back. read more

I was looking for a new taco place in the Mesquite area and came across this. Just opened two weeks ago. I tried barbacoa, pork carnitas and chicken fajita corn tacos. I would have to say I wasn't a fan of the barbacoa as it lacked flavor and the chicken was a little dry. Pork carnitas would have to be my favorite. Overall, it's a decent taco place but I would lean more towards another Mexican restaurant or Chipotle for tacos. read more
