This review is long overdue! I've been coming to Real Nail Salon for over a year now, and from my very first visit, every nail technician has been incredibly kind, welcoming, and talented. The atmosphere is always pleasant, and you can tell they truly care about their work and their clients. Ivy is my usual tech, and her artwork is absolutely beautiful -- she consistently goes above and beyond and always brings my ideas to life. The photos I'm attaching aren't the best and aren't always taken right after my appointments, but they really show how well the designs and products hold up over time. My nails still look great even weeks later! I highly recommend visiting Real Nail Salon if you're looking for great service and amazing results. It's always a great experience!

First time here, while I am on vacation from Hawaii. Called in at 5:30pm and they were able to take me right away for a Manicure and Pedicure. Kim helped me so much with my nails and recommended dip powder for my fragile nails. I'm so happy with how they turned out. Yvonne, helped me with my deluxe pedicure. This felt like heaven after a two week vacation. Got exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend stopping in and ask for Kim or Yvonne.

Love the service the ladies provide for me every time! It's best to have an appointment but they will gladly take in walk-ins without any issues. These are my real nails with Dip . Mimi always make my nails look so perfect just the way I like it and always is opening to sharing her ideas on what new look I should try . I don't have a set person for my pedicures but most of the ladies always do a fantastic job. If Mimi isn't available I go to Vi or Hannah ! They're great !

If I could give this place 0 stars, i would. I went to have my acrylic nails removed and it was the WORST experience of my life. The lady who did my nails (i didn't get her name but she had a heart lock tattoo on her left wrist) used the wrong method of removing my nails and it resulted in a painful experience. I let her know multiple times that i was in pain and offered different methods to remove the nails and she just laughed and dismissed me. She even had a colleague help her and i expressed the same sentiment to her and she also did not listen to me. it was literally the worst experience of my life. Not only that , but they still did not remove the nails fully!!!! I do not recommend this place whatsoever.

I used to come here ALL the time. Multiple women have left and they were THE best at applying acrylics. I stopped going. They're not worth the price. The acrylic application is horrendous. They've applied the acrylic on top of my cuticle. What a great way to get them to lift faster. read more

First time here, while I am on vacation from Hawaii. Called in at 5:30pm and they were able to take me right away for a Manicure and Pedicure. Kim helped me so much with my nails and recommended dip powder for my fragile nails. I'm so happy with how they turned out. Yvonne, helped me with my deluxe pedicure. It had been a while since I've come to real nails, I used to stay across the street so this was my go to shop before moving. I was in the area and decided to stop by for a quick pedicure I was told the basic pedicure is $28, + $12 for gel that was understood and agreed upon. When done I paid additional $2 to use card, +$8 tip. When asked for a receipt I did decline the receipt trusting their business ethics just to check my transactions right after leaving to see an additional $10 was taken. I returned to question why I am seeing $60 taken but was told from their end they only took $50. I then requested a receipt only to be told "there is no way to get receipt you can take a picture" . I stated how they are stealing peoples money (I unfortunately did not get the woman's name) but her response was "that's not a lot of money" "it was only $10" . To me that was form of confirmation that she/this business is aware of their actions and is willing to move unethical to anyone who may decline a receipt. I have definitely learned my lesson from this encounter and wanted to bring awareness to anyone new or has not been to this place in a while. TAKE YOUR RECEIPT! LEAVE THE SECOND YOU FEEL SOMETHING IS OFF. read more

This is my neighborhood nail salon however I'm not going to get gel nails again. This is the third time I've gotten gel nails and I think they put the polish on way too thick because within 4 to 5 days start separating from your cuticle and peeling up. Cost too much money for it to last just a week. read more

BAD!!! I asked for an acrylic removal and gel and they didn't even remove the acrylic in six of my nails. How unprofessional and they did not use the appropriate removal process, they used a tip nail to remove the acrylic nails by lifting the acrylic from my natural nails rather than acetone and warm water. After telling the lady with a heart lock tattoo on her wrist that her removal application hurt she didn't listen. I suggested to use the drill or even acetone and she brushed me off, three times. I hope this does not give me fungus because if it does I will sue due to inadequate treatment and care. read more

$40 for a polish change !?!?? I came in for a simple, polish change, gel for my nails and regular polish for my toes. . My big toe needed an acrylic overlay for a split that always reoccurs on that toe. I didn't think to ask what the cost was up front as I've gone other paces before and only paid $15 for similar service. I didn't expect it to be $40. What a rip off. read more

Was here to visit family and had time to waste. But ended up wasting time and money. I went in for a pedicure and manicure The quality was deceit, the service was mediocre at best. Furthermore, the technician didn't really interact with the customers much. That definitely ruined the vibe for me. I came in to relax but all I heard were technicians speaking amongst each other about the latest gossip on other people. I look Hispanic, so I guess they assumed I didn't understand. I would NOTrecommend this place. P.S. I changed my mind at the end and canceled my manicure. read more

Y'all!!!! Every time I come here I swear it will be the last and then I take go back like a dummy! What can I say, desperate times call for desperate measures. I'm still not sure how the nail tech was slow AND sloppy. Usually they go slow to be meticulous but this was not the case. I was there for over an hour and I did not see anyone us using sanitizing spray or wiping chairs or tables down between customers. Recently, at other salons, you walk in and it smells like cleaner, not this place. Other than masks, they seem to be taking Covid lightly. I hate my shape, which I tried to help her correct, the paint job, and the overall experience was just blah. Never again. Forreal this time. read more

Jesus Christ. Idk who the hell had a good experience here, but you have to be lying. Decided to give them a chance and tried them out with a regular pedicure. My sister and I each had really young looking techs. I thought it was just me having a awful experience until we left and my sister went through the same thing. Constantly nicked by the dremel. There was no buffing or filing of the nails. & the absolute worst part, they cut our cuticles far beyond what they should have. I bled on 6 of my toes and winced in pain with each cut. Instead of cutting the cuticle, they pulled the skin off with a downward motion. My sister's tech was so rough with removing her ingrown nail that she felt immediate pain when she put her foot back into the water. Then when she finally got to the half assed job of polishing my nails, it burned my cuts. She quickly put my sandals on, didn't even give me a chance to let them dry. Both of our polish got smudged before getting back into the car. I'll be going back to my usual spot, you get what you pay for. read more

I've been going to Mimi for about a year now, even drove to her when she was in Anaheim but she's is back in Lakewood and I couldn't be anymore happier, the salon is Just a 6 min walk from where I live. I have been going to Real Nails for years and all the ladies are so sweet. The space is clean and they have a nice selection of colors & powders. All the nail techs are great so, I would definitely call beforehand for an appointment. Mimi did this set, I usually go for like longer nails but, still like them to look natural, she's great at that. I also usually get gel pedicures here & they've last me about a month. I love this place! These girls have been my ride or die's for the past 7 years. They can truly do anything with acrylics and I guess now even gelx? Not sure I only get acrylics and pedicures. Lately I have been getting a little Felix pedicure and that extra couple minutes of massage time is so nice! I pay a little more because I love designs and acrylics and all the extras, but for me it's worth it. I have tried so many other places but no one compares to my girls who take care of me and the whole fam! They just remodeled too! So cute! read more

I remember this because she said almost nothing else to me the entire time after asking about the type of lashes I wanted in the very beginning. I told her "light brown--a shade or two darker than what I have now." My natural brows are very light. In the end, my brows were very dark brown--almost black. I could tell that something was wrong before I saw them because she kept wiping my brows over and over to the point that they felt raw. When she showed them to me I said, "Wow! They are dark." She asked me if I wanted her to "try to wipe some off," which made no sense to me given that she had already been wiping them. It was apparent that she knew they were too dark. After they were done she told me, "You will need to get them cleaned up." I've had services on my brows many times, and I've never walked out of an establishment with sloppy looking brows. Given the cost of the service, it seems reasonable for the person providing the service to remove stray hairs with tweezers. In fact, it would have looked much better when I left if she had done this before tinting my brows. I was also disappointed by how my check out was handled. I booked my appointment on 12/2 when I received a text message about getting 50% off one service. I used the link in the text and booked the same day for the earliest available evening appointment. The person who provided my services seemed unsure about how to check me out. After a call was made, I was told that I would have had to have my service done by 12/6. That seemed unreasonable to me. She made another call when I showed her the confirmation email showing I booked the same day the discount text was sent. "Service must be completed by 12/6" would be much clearer than the word "redeemed." She told me that they could give me the current promo of "25% off" and later, when I gave her my credit card, said "$25." I asked for clarification and was disappointed by the response. Overall, she seemed to not know what she was doing, and I left paying much more for a much worse service than I would expect from a "master" at a seemingly legitimate establishment. The music was the best thing about my visit to Deka Lash, and I will not be back.

The first lash lift, I felt was rushed. I was asked when was the last time I for a lash lift and I answered about a year. When the lift was done, I took pictures in my car because they just didn't look great. One side looked like it attempted to lift (left side), the other side not so much (right side). I called the phone number to ask for a redo, and I said I would pay a fee. They were nice enough to waive the fee for the redo which was nice. When I went in for the redo a week later, I felt a little uncomfortable for asking for a redo from the same lash artist. Didn't feel welcome for sure. She saw it and said "oh yeah I see it." So she redid the lash lift. She made sure to make the side that didn't lift the first time lift. Which it did and it's great. But the other side (left side) now looks a little weak. I'm not going to ask for another redo a second time. I just wish what was done for the right side the second time was done the first time. Also, if the lash artist looks over them a bit more maybe she would notice right away that they look uneven. I appreciate that a redo was given and at no charge. But I do think attention to detail is important. I believe my lash artist was "Qua" according to email reciept. It seems like others have had positive experiences with other lash artists. I might be looking for a new studio for next time.

If you're nice to everyone in the salon, they will be nice as well. If you spend three hours criticizing their work and talking down to them, well...you get the energy you put out in the world. Be nice to the people who are helping you improve your appearance. The salon has always treated me with the utmost respect but I had the unfortunate luck of encountering one of the problem customers. I recently made an appointment here a couple of days ago. Honestly, the atmosphere of the place wasn't so bad, service was great, and I loved the outcome of my nails! I got a Shellac manicure. I loved how the worker, Anna, I believe she is the owner, did my nails, it looked fantastic and I was more than satisfied with the outcome. I recently just found this place after my friend pointed it out to me. The nail salon is truly paradise. I was so excited when I saw the wide selection of colors. There were so many shades of any color you can possibly think of! I got a mani/pedi for 20 bucks. Its a great price for such good quality products like OPI nail polish and china glaze. I am very excited to say this is probably my favorite nail salon. The lady who did my nail as, I believe Anna, and to say the least, she as fantastic. Her work was neat and clean and she was very kind. I got a full set with 3D art design on all of them for only $50. It is much cheaper compared to other nail shop where I often got my nail done and it looked amazing and stayed on for almost 3 weeks (no lift). I love 3d art, so keep coming back. read more

I was coming here for a bit over a year. But honestly they are not worth it anymore. It's been a handful of times the last few months that they will take and set appointments and make you wait FOREVER. my appt was at 530 this time and I got here at 510...it was 6 Pm when they took me in. I politely asked him to remove the aluminum foil, and he said he would finish doing my nails, but at that point I declined service based on how everything was handled. The other lady told me he "had an appointment," but I don't believe that was the case because she had just walked in and asked if she should come back later, not that she was there for a scheduled appointment. Overall, it was just handled very poorly. I come here when I'm in the area, and my partner is a regular customer, but after this experience, we both won't be coming back. Also, they charge to use your debit card.

I also asked about the pedicure service because I wanted to do my toes as well and they offered acrylic as well as gel X and regular gel. I ended up doing my pedicure and manicure which was great. Left feeling very Bonita. The vibe is welcoming and the place is very taken care of. The only nuisance might be the bar music but once you get your nails done you wont even notice lol

It's been far too long since I've gotten myself pampered. There are so many places to choose from…read moredo I asked friends for recommendations. One happened to be getting her fingers and toes done while I was asking. She said she's been going here for years. They've been here 14 years. Do I called and they said I could come in now. When I got here there was only one other client getting her fingernails done. I decided on getting a salt scrub with my mani and pedi. It was all so delightful. The ladies here are sweet. They take cash and cards but they do charge $2 if you use your card. That was the only downside to me but I must admit, there prices are very reasonable. All in all, I'll be back.
