Service - The service was pretty good. I would rate it 3.5 or 4 stars. The staff was pleasant, attentive, & spoke both English & Cantonese. They were nice to have around made sure to check in with you. Americans and Chinese rate customer service very differently... & the service they were offering were tailored more to American tastes of how service should be done. Food - The food on the other hand was nothing good. Our Dim Dum was mostly shrimp-based items, & the shrimp they were using was not fresh. It didn't taste stale or bad, it was not that good. Our first order of shui mai was rotten/spoiled. It was sent back, and our replacement was not cooked enough/properly when it came out to us. The shrimp wrapped in rice paste was horribly done. The wrapping they use for their dumplings/rice paste seem to be the same and easily broken and rough. not silky smooth at all. Location/Decor/Parking - Parking was easy & plentiful. Visited here tonight for the first time. The food was amazing. They have a mix of American Chinese food and authentic Chinese food. We had their pan fried dumplings and they were the best I've every had. They also have a large dim sum menu that we will be coming back to sample. This is as good as it gets in PBC for dim sum because 1) the food is pretty good with a huge selection and 2) they have carts. :). I've had dim sum in both NY and in Hong Kong and this is a very good option for South Florida. Really happy with the shrimp dumplings (har gow), fried shrimp balls, bean curd sheet rolls, taro cake. The sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf was generously portioned and so delicious! The congee is on the watery side (this may or may not be your preference) and the fried doughnut sticks a bit overcooked but that's really my only quibble. read more

I went to the restaurant Real Wok on Thursday on November 2 2023. The lady their first off is rude. 2nd, I ordered chicken wings with white steam rice. I asked her if I could get flaps only before o finished my sentence, she no. 3rd after I ordered the food, I walked home and after I checked my food, they gave me fried rice. The fried rice wasn't good at all, and it was greasy, which is why i asked for steam white rice. You couldn't pay me to eat their again. Told my friends and about my experience. So I was in the area and I had not been here before so I thought I would give it a try. The gentleman helping me was friendly and helpful. Started with a cup of hot and sour soup which was very good and hot. Crispy noodles at the table to nibble on as well. Decided to order the triple crown dish with chicken, beef, and shrimp with mixed veggies in a mildly spicy brown sauce. The portion was generous and delicious, lots of water chestnuts (love) and overall really good. Okay I have a bad experience in here. I don't mind to give the waitress tips if you provide service for me. BUT why do you ask me mandatory for tips like a beggar for two times? We give this waitress 12% of tips. And she take our bills then came back and said it's not enough, we should give 18%. Who are you? My wife found a NYTimes review of Real Work while researching restaurants for our visit in FL, and it seemed like a promising option for dim sum and authentic Chinese food. And it did not disappoint. Although we are spoiled New Yorkers (with CHINATOWN and Flushing in our backyard), we were impressed with their selection of fresh dim sum (ribs, har gow, sticky rice, shrimp & chive dumplings). Their BEST dish, in my opinion, is the Salt & Pepper Shrimp! Lightly battered, fresh large shrimp (with their heads on!) were absolutely delicious and flavorful. A highlight of our meal! When we first entered the person seating us was mad there was 8 of us. Then they were rushing us to order. the waitress had the nastiest attitude and was almost throwing the food on the table. When we went to pay she put a hefty 20% tip on the check. we were also told we could not order dessert. I have never been trea so badly in a restaurant in my life. Ok first time and it was pretty good. The garlic chicken and the shrimp lo mein were good... The vegetable egg roll was not good. We had a take out order and it was ready quickly. Prices are about average. No real atmosphere in the restaurant..... The large fish tank had no lights on top and that bothered me...but besides that and the egg roll all was good. I would not order anything beef here, it was either too old or had too much filling. The shrimp dishes were fine. The tea pots were a bit old and had to clean the tip for rust. Everything needed a revamp because it was old. The dim sum was made to order and the food was nice and hot. I wish the best of luck to them because dim sum is not close to that area. read more

Let's put it this way, the dim sum was sub-par. My pic of the dim sum made it looked really good but they were far from it. They did not taste fresh and the portions were small not that it even mattered. Another not so wonderful thing was the table was very sticky and felt dirty . We were a bit taken aback from that fact. I gave them two stars because they were welcoming and the servers were nice. We stay for a few minutes and decided to go to the "singing bamboo restaurant" for dim sum and it was a totally different experience. read more

I'm an adult who grew up eating Dim Sum every week growing up with my family in NYC. This is definitely a great place for Dim Sum. It's not the best I've ever had and the menu certainly isn't one of the most extensive but it certainly satisfied my craving for my childhood favorites. All of the food we had was great, the Tripe in Ginger & Scallions was a little under seasoned and I only noticed this because it's my favorite item and I eat it often. For someone who's been having Dim Sum all their lives this was the first time I was slightly confused. They led us to the table with the dim sum menu and a pen to fill out our selections. I assumed at this point that the carts would not be passing through as it makes no sense to do both options. But, to my surprise there was a steam cart packed with nearly everything on their menu. I was really excited about the salt and pepper squid but I also found that severely under seasoned and over cooked. Everything else was wonderful and the BBQ Pork Buns were by far the best I've had in years. I'll go back just for those! I'm also accustomed to having oranges after Dim Sum. I'm not sure if this is not a common practice at all Dim Sum restaurants but it's always been my experience in NYC. There definitely needed to be something at the end of the meal to cleanse the palate of all the flavors from our brunch. As far as service is concerned everyone was helpful and engaging. The only failure was that none of the servers who visited our table asked if we wanted anything besides the complimentary tea and water served upon arrival. I thought the pricing was very fair was I'm used to going with a large group so spending anywhere between $40-$90 at Dim Sum is usually on the low end. Because there isn't many options for Dim Sum in our area I will certainly be visiting Real Wok again. read more

Today was my second visit to Real Wok. The dimsum they serve is not oily and pretty yummy. I usually order shrimp dumplings, thousand year egg with pork chinese porridge, chive dumplings etc. I love their turnip pudding and the string beans hunan style the best. Out of all the dishes I had I wouldn't recommend their beef chowfun or eggtarts. Tip: They advertise that they serve carts of dimsum on Saturday and Sundays. But I was there today and it was only one dimsum cart filled with steamed items. You basically order everything else from the menu. I was dissapointed about that. read more

3 of us went to lunch today at around 1 pm at real wok. We were the only customers in the entire restaurant and we were sat at a very small table for 4. One of our group uses a walker and another member of our group also has mobility issues. We requested sitting at a larger table, again there was not another customer in the restaurant. There were multiple tables for 6 and even more tables for 5 all unoccupied. The woman who sat us seemed annoyed and made it clear we were to stay at this table. Our waiter came to take our order and we mentioned we were going to order a lot of food would it be possible to sit at a larger table. The waiter said flatly, "no, I will organize your table so the food will fit." We were not permitted to move tables in an empty restaurant after 2 requests. The food arrived and the food quality was consistent with the customer service. I would rate this chinese food marginal at best. We will not be going back to this restaurant ever. read more

My wife is Chinese and we eat at a lot of restaurants that serve Asian food. We were served bad tea - it smelled and tasted bad - a tea my wife drinks often. The pork they provided was not right, the noodles not totally cooked. Overall a bad first experience. We won't return. Be careful when you order an entree. The price on the bill never matches the price on the menu. They always rip you off for an extra dollar or two. When I complained all of a sudden the English became weak and I got some story about how the prices are in the computer and the bill can't be changed (which is nonsense). Instead of arguing I just reduced the tip. If you can deal with this kind of thing going in, just be aware of what to expect. Being from NYC and frequently eating in Chinatown, for many years, I can say this place is official. A good, authentic Chinese restaurant. It's the real deal in South Florida, NYC style. We had a variety of dim sum; Shrimp Dumplings, Fried Shrimp Balls, Stuffed Eggplant and Shrimp Paste (called shrimp noodle in Chinatown, NYC). All of the dim sum was very good and these particular dishes were priced at $4.95 each. My favorite was the Stuffed Eggplant (stuffed with shrimp). It must've came in a garlic sauce, which I dont usually like but this sauce was fantastic. It complimented the Stuffed Eggplant very well. I highly recommend this dish to anyone who likes the deep purple vegetable. If all of that wasn't enough, we ordered Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables for an entrée. It came in a white sauce, was light and not too greasy. I just added some hot oil to spice it up, and loved every bite. Priced at $14.95 and comes with a side of Fried Rice or White Rice. I will definitely be back to try more things off the menu. read more
