We were offered water and fruit while we waited. The interior was clean with multiple private/semi-private treatment rooms. Both ladies were very polite although with limited English. They started with foot soak while doing shoulder/neck/arm massage. The foot reflexology used a lot of pressure, but we felt so much better afterwards. They finished with a brief leg massage. The woman who did my massage did not even ask my problem areas, somehow she just knew and she kept asking if it hurt (it did but in the most amazing way), but it was very clear she wanted me to feel relaxed and comfortable. This was my first massage so i was a bit surprised when my underwear was moved but i quickly understood why. She found tension areas i didn't even know i had. Unfortunately, it can also sometimes make me a harsh critic; in other words, my standards are quite high. I've lived in Virginia for 9 years. In those years, I can literally count just one therapist that I experienced that exceeded my expectations, prior to this massage. All others fell short...and I don't mean "just barely". I mean so bad, they made me question whether they actually received an education, or were simply hanging fraudulent certifications and licensures on their walls. Stress Free Therapeutic Massage (Miss Lydia) reminded me of how remarkable a skilled massage therapist can be. From start to finish, she was indeed incredible! My husband purchased me a 90 minute Groupon. After leaving a message on her voicemail, I received a text message, requesting that I visit the website to schedule. She was booked out somewhat ahead, which now makes perfect sense. As someone who's worked in the field, I understand the importance of being on time for your appointment; there is often paperwork involved for first time visits, and most therapists run a pretty tight schedule, not allowing much idle time between clients. Therefore, if you're late, it runs into the next clients appointment, leaving the therapist faced with cutting your time short, which is often a difficult decision, because they certainly don't want to lose you as a client either. Finding the facility was somewhat tricky for me; I had a small commute to the office, and I wasn't familiar with the area. For reference, this place sits in the back of a building that says "Chiropractor" on the front. If you're looking at Pancho Villa, it's right to the left of the restaurant. Parking is in a lot in the back of the building. Lydia's office is up the steps, to the second floor. Upon arrival (at just after 1pm for my 1:30pm appointment), one of her clients was just heading out. Just as expected, I had some short paperwork, and she got me in 10 minutes early, at 1:20pm. She started with me face down, which ironically is my preferred method. She started on my back, focusing on my noted trouble points (low back and neck). Her pressure remained steady and consistent throughout the massage, showing that she was a seasoned professional. She has great deal of physical stamina and excellent manual dexterity. I personally prefer a firm pressure, and she achieved the perfect level of pressure throughout. She ended the massage just on time, at 10 till 3pm. At no point did I feel like I wasn't receiving the upmost attention and care. Lydia remained professional and skilled, utilizing a variety of techniques. She possesses the ability to use different modalities/approaches to address her clients' needs. Her facility is clean, her demeanor is warm, welcoming and professional. I highly recommend her!

I informed her I never put a card on file to book an appointment before, but she kept repeating herself AND I kept repeating myself. She begins to tell me to calm down... "BUT YOU'RE ASKING ME FOR MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION AND NOT TELLING ME THE REASON" why. Her communication in explaining details is AWFUL and so was her attitude. After I keep asking why she needed my card information, she "THEN" tells me, it's because I WAS A "NO SHOW" to an appointment, but I didn't book on the 15th, but the 22nd and I would be charged $65 for a missed appointment. THEN I SAY.... That's why you wanted my card information. She wanted my card information WITHOUT initially and properly explaining why.. WHICH IS A BIG SCAM.. Inform people as to why you're asking for a credit card and EXPLAIN the charge... I refused, because I didn't book for today and on my schedule, it was booked for the 22nd. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS to any of my colleagues, staff, animals or anyone else I know... GRACE was AWFUL in communicating and has the worse customer service I have experienced! Grace was rude, incoherent and WOULD not properly explain why she needed my credit card information! When I asked to speak to a manager, that was denied. So, I will write a very detailed and lengthy GOOGLE review! I will now go and give a full Google review of the customer service displayed from your employee GRACE.. I was finally able to relax during the end (where she was only doing my arms and back).... It was $77.50 (including tax) which I paid at the beginning of the service. I was kinda skeptical because I've never paid upfront for a massage before but whatever... anyways, at the end, another women comes to bring me to the front room. She asks if I wanna leave a tip and I said... sure. I wrote $3 because I was genuinely in pain most of the service. She literally looked at me and goes "it's $10 MINIMUM for a hour" .. excuse me? When is a tip EVER mandatory? & after I write the $3, she grabbed the receipt for me and wouldn't even let me finish writing my total. I asked for it back because I didn't feel comfortable with how she treated me at that moment. I will not be returning. The entitlement is absolutely insane and unprofessional. Plus, the whole place reeks of FEET. I should've left after I noticed but always try to give a chance. Never again.
