Great find in Giddings. Friendly service behind the counter with a nice vibe inside and plenty of seating. Burger had delightfully fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. The fries were perfectly cooked with each one fluffy and crisp till the list bite. Will definitely be going back when in the area and would recommend as well

This place came recommended by one of the locals we talked to at another local business. There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant otherwise street parking is available. If you're walking in from the main street, you'll notice they serve ice cream and fudge as you enter. Off to the left, there is a bar and bar service starts at 4 PM. On Thursdays, you can get half price drafts on certain selected beers after 4pm. A lot of Yelpers mentioned this surly old lady at the register........ and yep she was there. This is one of those businesses where you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. I was surprised they did not flip around and tip screen, but you can add $ to the tip jar. This place is known for its pizzas, burgers, and sandwiches. We decided on the truffle burger and a side salad with a scoop of chicken salad. For the money, everything was on par with fresh vegetables and worthy of ordering again. In my younger days, I would've added a bluebell shake to the order as well, so we shared a slice of coconut pie instead. We ordered the Rueben sandwich (aka The Dirty Harry). It was the BEST RUEBEN sandwich we have ever had! So good and perfectly made. We got it with rhe French Fries and they were realty really good too! Check out this restaurant if you're in Giddings. You won't be disappointed.

Cute little place. Parking was easy peasey. I like the cleanliness of the place and nice spacing for seating. We ordered at the counter and they brought it out to your table. I wanted to try to the pie but didn't have the appetite for it. Everything we had was good but I wasn't wowed. The customer service was okay. The water tasted strange. I would buy the bottled beverages next time. I would like to have tried the pizza but they warned us they were too far behind on pizza orders.

This place is HUGE! Incredibly kid friendly. They have a few quarter machines. The food was delicious! Bathrooms were clean. Service is as expected for a mom & pop in a small town - bring your patience and smiles because they're nice and not in a rush.

A great stop on the Houston-Austin route, Reba's has a nice selection of sandwiches, pizzas, salads, etc. We had a couple of their specialty sandwiches and both were terrific. Beer and wine available. Plenty of room in a clean, well furnished dining area. Counter ordering, delivered to table. Cash friendly with a small surcharge for plastic. Baked goods are excellent too!

Food was amazing! Great environment! Loved the small hometown vibes. The service was amazing! Took a while but the food taste and quality makes it worth it. We had the fried mozzarella and fried ravioli. Loved both, highly recommend the fried ravioli. My husband had the large pizza and it was to die for! Definitely will be back whenever we drive through!

I was so excited to finally have time to actually stop in Giddings for lunch to check this place out. I had driven by so many times going back-and-forth between Austin and Houston. What a cute place. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Good selection. I felt like my food was a little salty for my liking, but the other three really enjoyed their sandwiches. They also have bluebell ice cream you can order at the counter, which, of course was my favorite part. They have a medium sized bar, which at another time of the day might have been a stop of ours. Decorated so cute. I recommend going in the side street entrance rather than the 290 entrance. Definitely a great place to grab a quick bite while passing through, but it looks like many of the locals dine here as well.

First time here...such a great atmosphere when you walk in! Everyone is really friendly. We sat at the bar since we got there in time to enjoy the great specials! 1/2 price beer & apps for the win! Then we ordered a medium Supreme pizza...broccoli on pizza truly did not disappoint! Our waitress (didn't get her name but she's from Tennessee) was just awesome; she was fun, friendly and just great! Everything tasted great and the beer was definitely cold & delicious. When in Giddings definitely a go to!

I always go here for lunch as the in between stop between Austin and Houston. The food has always been super tasty! Been a fan since they used to have their old smaller place. Their new place is a lot larger with plenty of seating. I enjoy getting their pizza because it's huge! But I also often get the Bonnie and Clyde combo. You order at the counter and they bring you the food. The tuna melt on the flat bread always hits the spot for me. I tried the cheese curds and I was surprised how much I liked them!

Absolutely wonderful place if you want a Reuben sandwich or a fresh pizza. Everything here is fresh it smells great when you walk in they have bluebell ice cream and all these different these awesome desserts and You can even watch them make your food while you wait if you want to do that think that's really awesome. The people that work there are usually well mannered and quiet and it's just a really laid back place. Clean and comfortable with a great atmosphere and great prices read more

We were looking for a "non-franchised" lunch and Yelped Reba's. Glad we stopped! Had the quiche and their side salad was chockfull of fresh veggies and not just some green stuff thrown on a plate with a sorry grape tomato. My husband had the Dirty Harry sandwich and said "very good". The table next to us had a pizza and it looked yummy. We don't go through Giddings often but will stop again when we do. read more

I was passing through town, and decided on Reba's a little because the interior was less creepy than my other options. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. The gentleman at the register was very nice. I ordered the club sandwich which by the way is my go to at diner type places my first visit. It tends to be a good barometer for how the food overall will be. As far as clubs go I've had better. This one came on sliced wheat bread, and was awkwardly small. It was accompanied with some chips on the side as well. Ultimately it was a forgettable meal, but I won't forget how kind the folks that worked there were. read more

Cute little cafe in the old downtown of Giddings. Movie posters from Star Wars, Ghostbusters, & Casablanca hang on the walls. Don't be deterred by the styrofoam plates & plastic forks. Food comes out fresh & hot in more than ample proportions. Veggie lasagna is chock full of veg, with broccoli, eggplant, onions, olives, & sun dried tomatoes. Pizza's pretty good too. A nice spot when road tripping between cities. read more

We often drive thru Giddings and, based upon other reviews, were looking forward to trying Reba's when next we drove through at meal time. What a disappointment. The ice is stored in an igloo at the self-service drink station. The piece of quiche I was served had been microwaved beyond recognition and was really nothing more than cheese. My soup tasted burnt. The rest of the family order pizza...they refused to eat it. My husband's side salad was the only edible item...that and the saltine crackers. We will keep driving through Giddings next time. read more

I was so excited to try this place for a long time and I finally went today and I ordered a meatball parm pizza and the Italian sandwich. Sadly, I am disappointed by everything. The pizza is very plain, dry and the meatball is flavorless. However the ingredients and meat were fresh. The sandwich was very plain, bleh and just...disappointing. I really expected more from this cute little place. The inside is very nice however, the cashier was quite unfriendly to me and she took my order and spoke to me as if I had a line behind me, which it was only me in the restaurant. I probably won't be coming back. read more

Probably my favorite place to stop on the Austin to Houston or Houston to Austin Trek. The Quiche is really good and the Duke flatbread sandwich is phenominal. The people there are nice and the prices are reasonable. I got pulled over in Giddings a few weeks ago and I think the cop let me off cause I said how good I thought Rebas was! read more

The food was great, but it took a really long time to get my order. When I walked in there was one woman working on making food and two younger girls standing around texting. I was not greeted or acknowledged until I had been standing at the counter for about five or six minutes. The woman making pizza kept looking at me but nobody said a word to me for an uncomfortable amount of time. I was disappointed at the lack of polite courtesy. I grew up going to this restaurant with my parents and have many fond memories of it. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be like a kind of place I will enjoy taking my own children. read more

My husband and I where driving back to Houston and wanted to try a local place to eat. We both had the Bonnie & Clyde combo. I had the chipotle chicken flat bread sandwhich & the bacon potato cheese soup. I thought the soup was great but the sandwhich was ok. I'll try a different one next time. My husband got the meat quiche & baked potato. He liked his quiche alot. We will go back but there are other small town resteraunts we would like to try first. read more

I had the Sundance wrap which consists of a plain flour wrap, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, grilled onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms with ranch dressing. I added avocado and changed the ranch to the raspberry vinaigrette. The wrap is served with a bag of plain lays and I added a drink. I'm not sure if the lemonade is made in house or not but it was a little sweet for my tastes so I cut it with some water. The wrap was delicious and pretty large. My meal was about $10 so not expensive and good so worth it. I was a little upset because I wanted a gyro but they had run out of flatbread. My second choice was the lunch special including a slice of pizza, a cookie, and a drink. The lunch special is only available Mon thru Fri and you only order a single slice of pizza Mon thru Thu. I was only mildly upset. The weekend crew seems a bit inattentive but mostly polite. They weren't very energetic or happy which might be understandable considering the boredom that generally accompanies small towns. The food was good, the atmosphere is super casual, but the service could use a little work. read more

Stopped in around 11 am on a Sunday and we could not order pizza for 30 to 40 minutes due to oven, couple next to us had to take the potato back to be warmed up bc it was not hot, and my potato soup, although good, came out room temperature at best. Sandwiches were good, but given the first three issues I will go somewhere else next time they town. read more

Stopped by on our way from Austin to Galveston. What a great find. The potato bacon and cheese soup was some of the best I've had. The pizza was also delicious. A huge plus was getting our food in less than 10 minutes. Hoping to stop by on our way home to try the homemade French silk pie. They were all sold out so we went ice cream instead. read more

Dined in on 4/30/16 and shared medium "meat lover's" pizza with my Husband. Price was okay but flavor was lacking. Enjoyed crust; not to thick or thin. Toppings were plentiful. A little warm inside building, probably due to oven. Appeared clean, didn't check restroom tho. Food was hot and cooked to order. May go again for deli offerings. Happy eating. read more

Awesome pizza. Best Hawaiian my husband has had in 30 years, and he is a pineapple fanatic. All there pizzas, salads and sandwiches are wonderful. Finish the meal with pie and Blue Bell. Worth the trip from Austin to Giddings. read more

Twice I have gone in the last month and after already ordering was told they didn't have white bread,( at a sandwich shop ??) Service is very slow no matter what you order and how many people are there. Walked in and employees are sitting on prep area. I will not be going back. read more

History

Established in 1998.

Joe Schroeder opened Reba's Pizza & Deli in 1998 after moving to Texas from the East Coast. Little did he know that what started out as a dream would turn into a three chain restaurant. You can find a Reba's in Giddings, La Grange, and the seasonal location in Warrington, TX. Mr. Schroeder has almost 50 years of culinary arts experience and four children who have each played their own part in growing this family owned and operated business. Joe's oldest son, Joseph, is the general manager of the Reba's in Giddings while his youngest son, Matthew, manages the La Grange location. Joe's oldest daughter, Kimberly, worked in Reba's for years when it first opened and his youngest daughter, Rebecca, manages the marketing and media of the business. Another important member of our business is Luis. You may have seen him in our La Grange location. Although he may not be family by blood, he has been working with us from the very beginning and he is at the heart of Reba's and what we stand for.

Burnt and tasteless. And they lack the space for the cold creamers to hide the flavor. The carafes are too low to fit a large cup under so you have to tilt them, risking hot coffee split across your hand. At least it isn't as hot as McD's.

We started with the French Fried Onions, a bit too greasy for me but tasty. It is served with ranch dressing. I do not like ranch dressing so I asked for a side of BBQ sauce. We ordered the Prime Rib, which was delicious, came with a side and one trip to the salad bar. The salad bar is well stocked and fresh. I will also state the service was very nice. I have two complaints and they are connected. Earlier I stated that I asked for a side of BBQ sauce since I do not like ranch dressing. That was provided however no mention that it was at an additional charge. All you have to be upfront and say there is an additional charge for your request. I can then decide if I want that item and what the charge is. Since neither were provided, I was surprised to see it on my bill. I did not question the charge, it was just deleted from the tip. I will probably return however this is a teaching moment, if you are going to charge extra for a client's request, tell them you are and what the charge is. If not for this issue, my rating would have been higher.

The only issue I had with it was the bowl/taco shell tasted like stale oil. Not sure if you've ever had a hard shell with a funny taste, but that's what I would compare it to one of the ladies had three tacos and some cheese bites and she said hers was good. That was her standard go to the other lady had a crispy chicken salad with ranch dressing. She said it was very good and it looked good. All in all, I would say this was a successful trip for what we were after. We were all thinking we were starving ....Dairy Queen fit the bill.

I picked up a friend who was on location and he said he heard from the landowner we needed to try this place. So we drove about 15 minutes on a country road that had no lights or anything, we then stumbled upon this place. Walking in there wasn't that many people there, a pool table in the back and the place was lit by neon signs. I had the cheeseburger on some type of bun that they have which was legit. A standard greasy cheeseburger that made the bun soggy. The PBR's were going down all too easy and I wanted to stay, but knowing that I was a city slicker and there was a high chance I'd get my ass kicked we decided to leave. ( I use that word loosely in Texas in the summer) So, I'll finish talking about the burgers. They cook 'em up in back w/whatever you want on them and you can get it on a reg bun or jalapeno bun. They are so good and fresh and they're just an old fashioned hamurger. Just the way I like them. Oh and their ff are fried in peanut oil. They have cold beer (I'm told) and they have wine. Choice of red or white. That cracks me up. I like the "red". Gotta try it. You'll have to ask a local how to get there. Its in the boonies but worth it.
