Ate here the afternoon of Friday 7/21. Evidently it was during "shift change" for wait staff. After being seated took 10 minutes for a server to greet us. After ordering ( elite salad and bacon cheese burger) we waited 35 minutes before we finally went to the bartender to ask about where our server/food might be. She said she'd check, then 10 minutes later food came out (burger and fries cold). We ate, and the food was really good (even cold). Great flavor on the burger and the salad was fresh and flavorful. But then we waited another 30 minutes once we finished eating for ANYONE to come over to our table. I got up and asked a server standing by the wall for help; said he'd check and get back to us. After 10 more minutes my friend finally got up and asked another person for help. The real annoying part was there were no fewer than a dozen servers standing around and not helping us. At this point there were only 6 sat tables total. Finally had a manger come to our table and discussed the experience with us. She was lovely, very apologetic and gave a discount on our meal- which was nice of her. She even offered a dessert but at that point we were just ready to leave. We came up from Fort Worth; this was a special treat for us. The experience was so disappointing. To their credit the food was very good, the bread basket was amazing, and the manager was sincere and accommodating. I just hate that we drove all that way and left so disappointed. read more

Five stars for the entertainment. Five of us went to hear Kiki on Saturday. He was amazing, such talent and he sounded much like Kenny Rogers. We will return when he is there. I think we did not order Reba's best items. The fried pickles as an appetizer were so, so. The fried green tomatoes were very small and would have been better with ranch dressing. I think we should have gotten the burgers from the reviews I've read. Reba's could use a veggie burger. I got the tomato soup (as a vegetarian) but it did not come with bread of any kind and I got a couple of packs of oyster crackers with it. Beans and cornbread were not available after 2:00 pm. "The bread was the best thing about the French dip", I was told. My granddaughter did like the pimento mac and cheese, and the mashed potatoes and gravy got a good review. We will definitely go back for the entertainment, and order burgers. read more

I have eaten at Reba's four times in the last two months. The food is a step above in quality. Today I had fried green tomato's and it was very flavorful. I Tasted My husband's fried catfish and it was crunchy on the outside and flaky on the inside. So delicious.. I have also eaten the meatloaf and blacken fish which is yummy. the only thing I would not recommend is the hamburger because it's just not exceptionally tasty like everything else at Reba's. Lots of really nice extra touches at this lovely spot! Get there early as the dining room fills up quickly. We were told there's usually a waiting line at the door, but we lucked out and got in pretty quickly on the Wednesday we were there. The staff were super friendly and helpful, took care of our questions and provided excellent service. Our food was very good, too. My friends each got salads which they enjoyed. I got the bacon cheeseburger which came with sweet potato fries. Both really good and cooked just right. Extras included a small cup of veggies and homemade ranch dressing before the meal. Tucked into the napkins was a nice souvenir bookmark. Oh, and don't forget the musical food picks that held the burger together---extra artsy and functional! The guy playing guitar and singing over the lunch hour was very talented as well. We will return...worth the trip to this little utopia! It's a cool place to visit. Stage costumes and awards to see throughout the restaurant. Staff is great! Food is yummy, but check your steaks-all of our group's steaks were over cooked. Prices are on the higher side, so they need to be more careful with their steak grilling! Overall we enjoyed our trip to Rena's Place. read more

Was worried about the wait, came at 3pm on Sunday of spring break, only waited 17 minutes! Staff was so friendly!!! Food was yummy, got the southern burger with sweet potato fries. Went here on Saturday and actually enjoyed it. I had the bacon cheeseburger and was well seasoned and pretty good. The service was excellent. Our server was extremely attentive and we didn't want for anything. I would absolutely go back if in the area. read more

Not impressed at all. Checked in and knew we'd have a tiny wait as there were a few couples ahead of us. But then they started seating people after us. That's when we found out they put our number in wrong but instead of just calling our name they just skipped us. We were finally seated and server was slow, food was slow and it wasn't that busy either. As for the food, it was okay. I'm a big carb eater and left both the bread and muffin which says a lot. While the chicken fry was wonderful it was served with the most pathetic serving of potatoes and green beans. You would think for $27 you could get a decent serving. Hubby did enjoy his catfish and it came with a nice serving size of fries. But overall for $60 it wasn't worth it and was a one and done for us. read more

I have been wanting to try this place since I first heard about it. Arrived at 11:30 mid week and there were several people waiting already and many tables were full. I was a single so I was seated at the bar. Service was excellent and friendly. The food was outstanding. I ate to much and brought some home. I had the fried green tomatoes that may have been one of the best appetizers I have ever had. I had fried catfish for lunch and it came with fries. It was very good but I had to box up more than half of it. Can't wait to try some of the other offerings. They have a pretty good menu and some interesting options. They had live music at lunch which was unexpected but I enjoyed it immensely. Other commenters mentioned the cold veggies and ranch dressing and it was wonderful and the bread was good. I asked about the wait in more normal hours and they said it can be long and they don't take reservations - I live in Dallas area and might be reluctant to drive 2 hours and wait 2 more. We loved the restaurant and atmosphere. The staff was all very friendly and the wait time was accurate. We where offered several times if we needed anything to drink while we waited. I had the fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese. Should have been called a sloppy pimento cheese sandwich. I couldn't find the small fried green tomatoes or the bottom bun due to the amount of over salted. Loose and sloppy pimento cheese. I was over charge for a beer I didn't have them told they couldn't correct the tab but I would probably get a credit on my card in about a week. Way way way over priced for the quality of the food. Thursday night and we had reservations so no wait which was great! 2 guys had chicken fried steak and raved how wonderful it was. I had the brisket. The food was absolutely AMAZING. We were driving to Dallas for a bachelorette trip from Northwest Arkansas and heard Reba had a restaurant. It is a must stop location. The meal started with the cutest atmosphere and set up. It was western chic. They brought us assorted vegetables (radishes, carrots, celery) and ranch to start. Then, there was assorted breads (zucchini bread? Corn bread, blueberry muffins) with homemade butter. We ordered fried pickles and they were so crunchy and had special Reba Sauce! Our meals were amazing. The bologna sandwich was so thick! And the chili made our bride cry it was so good. We were paying out and complimentary cranberry chocolate shortbread cookies were served. Food had no flavor. Fried fish was undercooked with no taste. Chicken Fried steak was huge. it was very tender, but just bland. I really wanted it to be good. Also very stingy with the sides. You should at least get a salad and another side for those prices. The service was top notch. read more

He was very personable, very knowledgeable about the menu items, very friendly and surely loves his job at Reba's Place. Being owned by country star in her hometown, the facility is first class with appropriate ambiance as both a restaurant AND a live music venue. Of course there is an expected merch store on the third level of the restored downtown building. We visited on a Saturday for lunch and the brunch menu was in play until 3:00 pm with a pretty limited choice of regular lunch fare. We had the Mexican Caesar salad and a burger stacked high and cooked to perfection, the (steak) fries were nicely fried just to point of crispiness as I like them. Although we had no alcohol we sat at the bar and watched the staff making over-the-top Bloody Marys that would exceed all expectations. A must visit in Atoka Oklahoma. read more

Went here on a Friday afternoon, checking in at 1:40pm. Was informed it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait. Somehow the text to let me know that my table was ready did not come through. Had I not inquired about our place in line we would have not gotten to eat there. Our server was excellent. The food portions were quite large. My wife and daughter split the chicken fried steak and still had leftovers. I had the brisket which was tough and had to cut away several pieces of fat. Also, they advertise pinto beans and cornbread, which is supposedly Reba's favorite however it is only available from 11:00am-2:00pm. We ordered dessert to go and instead of bringing it out boxed and ready to go, it was brought out as though it would be served while we were there and then boxed at our table. Our server said they were not really set up for to go dessert orders. Although they state they have a take out option. If you call the restaurant you get a recording with email options. I do not think you can physically speak to someone. The ambiance is great and the gift shop was very nice. read more

We stopped by Reba's Place on our way from Fayetteville, Ark., back to Dallas. Excellent service! The food was really great and the staff, from the hostesses to the waitress and the managers, were all wonderful...very friendly and welcoming. We came about 7 pm on a Tuesday night. No wait. Were seated immediately. We were celebrating our 45th anniversary so decided to splurge and each ordered the "Fancy" steak dinner. The steak was very tender and flavorful but the shrimp were, in my opinion, the star! I had a loaded baked potato and my husband had the fries. Baked potato was fluffy and delicious and the fries were cooked perfect. The singer that night was very good and we enjoyed his music. My only afterthought is that we probably should have each ordered something different instead of ordering the same thing. We will come again! read more

We really enjoyed ourselves here. We came on a Tuesday at about 1:30. Being retired is great ! We missed all the crowds that I have been reading about. Anyway, we were greeted with a really sweet waitress. She was very sweet and attentive. Told us about things on the menu. What was cool was we got two slices of watermelon first as an appetizer. Delicious. Then they brought this bread. Three different kinds. With the most amazing butter sauce, and some kind of lemon stuff. I really didn't Need to eat after that!!!' Then , we both ordered hamburgers with french fries. Now I know to just order one hamburger and split it. Delicious. Had a nice frosty beer with that. The decor and ambience of the place is really cool. Also we went up to the store a couple flights and bought a coffee mug. Good experience. Reba's place has a very cool vibe. The 1st & 2nd floor are devoted to dining. The 1st floor has a large screen playing Reba music & a nice bar. The 2nd floor has Rebas fancy red dress in a case, picture worthy! The 3rd level is her mercantile store. It's filled with all the Reba goods! Now let's talk about the food. The menu looks like good ole fashioned down home cooking, like mama makes. We ordered fried pickle chips for appetizers. They were good however the dipping sauce was different, it wasn't quite BBQ sauce and not quite ranch but somewhere in the middle, definitely not something I can say I enjoyed. My husband ordered Chicken Fried Steak, he wasn't a fan, said it was too salty. I took a bite and felt the gravy had a jalapeño flavor to it, again not something mama would make! I had a cheeseburger (not the cherry Dr Pepper burger, yes they have that). It was ok, bun was chewy which gave a stale vibe. Fries were good. I am glad I went but I wouldn't seek it out for food. Drove many miles to grab some to-go; called to verify (no human answers the phone, despite 3 humans standing around at the hostess desk). They provide to-go containers for leftover food but you CANNOT ORDER FOOD TO-GO! Attention to detail matters in the service industry. Doesn't cost anything to update your website! We stopped here for lunch because my wife is a huge Reba fan. We probably sat at our table for about 10 minutes before our server came to get our drink order. The food was subpar and the service was about the same. I wouldn't drive here to eat unless I was in the area. They had someone playing music on stage and have some of Reba's stuff scattered around the restaurant. Kinda disappointing but our expectations maybe have been a little high. I made my way to Reba's today as it was on my list of things to get done while I enjoyed my vacation this week. My experience was fantastic. While it is a limited menu until 3 o'clock on Saturdays I got the burger and Reba's tater tot's. I also enjoyed the strawberry shortcake for dessert. I enjoyed all of it. The one thing that I noticed about this restaurant is that every employee in that building seemed genuinely happy. The atmosphere was awesome. I spoke with the restaurant manager, who said she is related to Reba, and in so many ways her mannerisms reminded me of Reba and what we've seen of her on various TVs and concerts.
