For me this is one of those place that you must go just to live the experience but no need to return. I got the red margarita,very syrupy,got the fried green tomatoes, they were ok, the chicken fried steak was good, portions are huge, and got the cranberry chocolate chip banana bread pudding, this last one was glorious. This was a quick round trip on Highway 69 to Plano, TX for the Labor Day weekend. Through Atoka coming and going. 10am, Labor Day, headed home, a stretch and coffee break were needed. Reba's Place is easy to get to. Located just a few blocks east of Hwy 69 on E. Court St. Plenty of close by, on street parking this morning. Inside the building is a major tourist attraction with a stage, videos of Reba's concert and TV performances playing and very recognizable memorabilia throughout the building. Check the pictures. Upstairs is a museum and gift shop. I just wanted a good cup of coffee today. We were promptly seated and greeted by Shyla. A big smile, genuine friendly, small-town welcome and hospitality! Two cups of exceptional coffee on the table in minutes. Shyla asked if we had been here before, where we were from and where we were headed. She made sure to mention the gift shop and museum upstairs. And the fact that there is an elevator that would shorten the trip. A very nice lady. A couple of iced teas ordered for the road, and we were gone. This was a very enjoyable stop. Next time, more time, and an elevator ride. read more

My daughter (in photos with her bf) recently wetted the Reba series--all of it... in just a couple of weeks. Reba is her fave! We visors with some elephants in Hugo, so we HAD TO stop by Reba's Place for dinner! Of course, on the way there, we had to get stopped by the very same Stringtown police officer who stopped Reba herself when she was speeding through town 3 weeks ago- #JUSTLIKEREBA ! So we have been warned, "Reba's Place is too expensive! It's touristy. Not worth it..." Well, Warny Wilma's, we ARE tourists today. We loved the food. We really loved the atmosphere. My wife and I split a large chicken fried chicken and brought home extra. My daughter/bf each had Reba's , bringing home left over burger and fries. We paid around $20 a person. The last time I took my son to Sonic, it was a few cents shy of $20- just for him alone! For fast food! Our server, Aiden, was AWESOME! Anticipated our every need, kept glasses full, kept asking if we needed things we might have needed... just incredible, while not appearing rushed nor slacking on his other tables. Just figured it out- he looked kind of like young Mario Lopez- way to go, Slater doppelganger (Google Saved By The Bell, Slater). The gift shop on the third floor is great. Living room area with library. So, Reba, are those books ones you've read and don't think you'll read again or don't really want in your home library or books you'll probably never read? You put them in the store, maybe to let customers borrow and return next time they are in? I've lost anything else that might have once been in my brain to say about the review. We are really happy about our decision to go to Reba's Place for dinner. Pay attention to the reduced speed zones in Stringtown- don't be like Reba and me on that one. Reba's is a nice addition to the Oklahoma restaurant scene in general and SE Oklahoma in particular. They have done an amazing job with an old historical building. The restaurant interior oozes with southern comfort, which matches the menu. There are three entrees that I'm always looking for the best of in Oklahoma: Filet Migon, fish and chips, and chicken fried steak. We planned an overnight trip with friends to Atoka and Reba's to try their chicken fried steak. Reba's CFS is good, but it's not the best in Oklahoma. I rate it at 3.5. The accompanying cream gravey and mashed potatoes were also good. The mashed poteatos tasted just like my Mom's. The meal comes with a sparse amount of green beans, which is ok by me. The cadence of the meal was too fast. After taking the drink, apptizer, and entree order, they served complimentary watermellon that was excellent, promptly followed by a complimentary mixed basket of bread bites. The appitizer order of fried green fried tomatoes (GFT's) came quickly, and before we could get started on the GFT's our CFS's came. The GFT'S were breaded in flour. I prefer GFT's breaded in corn meal. They were served in a chow, chow remoulade sauce with clumps of pimento cheese. They were good and I rate them at 4/5. They have a good-looking bar and a nice selection of bourbon. Reba, Reba, Reba...This was your one chance Fancy and you let me down. So honestly this is probably the best food in Atoka, but that bar is pretty low. Value for your money would be greater at a franchise restaurant or a roadside diner elsewhere. If you are planning a motorcycle trip or excursion centered around visiting this place you are going to be disappointed. It is, however, easy to see that no expense was spared on decorating this spot and creating a special ambiance. In fact the ambiance is more like Nashville than Atoka (Star #1) But then you walk to the hostess stand and the disappointment sets in like the day after Christmas when you know the experience has peaked and the long bleakness of the rest of winter is in front of you. I walked in the front door with arms full, holding my baby and a diaper bag. Opening the door with my foot I noticed the hostess standing 5' away watching me struggle. No problem I thought, as I juggled loaded arms. I told her I was meeting my wife who had just walked in. Nothing. She just stared back with an emptiness reminiscent of recent trauma survivor. 'Give her the benefit of the doubt', I thought as I asked where my wife might be seated. She only shrugged. Realizing I was on my own I set out in the two story building and found my wife quickly...things must get better now. Our server was super nice and friendly (Star #2). She was super friendly but not very attentive. She forgot to bring our drinks and we had to ask for them twice. When the food arrived it looked great...but was cold and the tots and fries were greasy. The dip sandwich was bland and honestly kind of tasted like chewing a wet gym sock. Try it and you'll see. I had the fried catfish and my daughter had the ranch house steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. We had the jalapeño chicken poppers, they were very good. We had the strawberry shortcake for dessert. The presentation was beautiful. The only complaint was the restroom was small with only two stalls. The gift shop upstairs was good. Reasonable prices. Restaurant review Reba's Place we passed right through Atoka so naturally we had to stop at Reba's Place for lunch. There was as a 30-45 minute wait but it ended up only taking maybe 15 minutes. They text you when you're table is ready. The building is historic and nicely renovated. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas. They have a small stage for live entertainment and Reba's music videos playing on the screens. The first two floors have dining and the third has a library and retail store. We bought some cute ornaments from the store. Store cashier was not friendly. Our waiter was friendly, albeit slow. We sat in the cutest booth. Loved the dishes and accouterments. The lunch menu was small but it made it easy to choose. Hubs chose chicken fried steak for us to share. You could get a half $20 or a whole $27. The waiter talked him into a whole; so not necessary. Little Mama got the kid's cheeseburger $8. I found the pricing to be ridiculous for lunch. The chicken fried steak was to be expected (huge) but the side portions were laughable. Barely a scoop of potatoes and you could easily count the number of green beans. Everything tasted good, not great. LM's fries had no seasoning and were just kind of limp. The CFS was good but had some weird flavor, maybe celery? I didn't try the burger. We ended up taking a huge bit of the CFS to go and half the burger. Bathroom was nice and had soap and lotion (nice touch) but no changing table! Saw a mom having to change her little on the bathroom counter. Unacceptable. Overall a good visit. If I was in the area I would try it again but I wouldn't make the drive just to go there. read more

Homestyle food at its finest. This is the second time we've been. First time, I got the chicken fried steak and this time I got the chicken fried chicken with gravy, eggs, home fries, and a biscuit. It was absolutely perfect! Best gravy and biscuit I've ever had. The servers are so kind and warm. I love hearing their stories of meeting Reba. I can't recommend this place enough. The Reba memorabilia is fun and the gift shop upstairs is nice too. I loved that she had signed posters and books there. Reba should sell more of that. I've been trying to eat at Reba's for a while! We were finally driving through to DFW on a Monday evening and got right in with no wait! It was worth the hype! The hostess told us all about the building and Reba's items on display. Our waitress was busy but did a great job. The food was delicious and I had the hardest time deciding what to get because I want to try it all. It's definitely an experience I think every Oklahoman should have! We found Reba"s place by accident when googling food on our road trip, but we are so glad we went. The food was excellent, a little pricier than we were expecting, but definitely worth it. There is a big screen showing Reba's music videos and she has memorabilia throughout the restaurant. Make sure to go up to the gift shop on the 3rd floor. Had a great lunch at this new Atoka, OK, restaurant featuring memorabilia from country artist Reba McEntire. Place was very busy this Friday around noon but we got seated very quickly and had the best waitress! Started with a peach Bellini and a Redhead Margarita (not shy on the liquor), then I had French toast with a side of fresh fruit while hubby had chicken-fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans. Perfectly prepared and served hot. Waitress went out of her way to have the kitchen prepare my fruit/melon side dish (off menu). Driving from Dallas to Tulsa we were thrilled to find out that this place would be on the way! I called to find out what the wait would be since I couldn't reserve a table online and they had an opening! We were seated upstairs and our server took our order right away but it took forever to be served and the soup and salad came out with the main course. The soup was barely warm but tasted great. I had such high hopes for this place! I went with a large group, so I know that can already be a little overwhelming for servers, but this was such an underwhelming experience for me. I had ordered a classic Eggs Benedict, and I was brought a southwestern one, which was fine, I was going to eat it, but someone else in my group noticed and pointed it out and so the server apologized and went to replace it with the proper one. Second one came out, and it was rock solid. I mean, the egg was hard, the English muffin was hard, everything about it was hard. By this point everyone else was about halfway through their meals, so I had just decided to eat some of the appetizers we got and let it go. The server noticed I hadn't touched it, asked what was wrong, so I let her know as nicely as possible that it just wasn't what it should have been, and she said she'd bring me a new one out even if I just ended up taking it home. Okay guys...stay with me here. The 3rd plate I received, was a salmon Benedict! I can't make this up, it was so incredibly bizarre, and at that point I had officially given up. I understand forgetting things, and getting overwhelmed with so many tables that you mix things up, and the server was very apologetic, but for the price that was paid, myself never being able to eat my meal, and the majority of the rest of the group having something wrong with their orders one way or another, it was just such a let down. I'll make note that we intentionally drove nearly 12 hours simply to eat at this restaurant. It was a very neat place. We had missed seeing Reba by 2 days!! I knew it was a Voice day so she wouldn't be there. What I loved most about the entire place, listening to Reba music throughout our entire visit. I LOVED the cups. I had the filet mignon and it was amazing while also priced well. My husband had the chicken fried steak. He felt it was no better than one from Texas Roadhouse and definitely not worth the $28 we paid. Matter of fact, days later, he was still complaining about it. We didn't have an appetizer because nothing looked appealing and we realized that it was going to be a pricey meal so we decided to skip. We did receive complementary bread and that was good. For dessert we shared banana pudding and personally, it was not my cup of tea. We received little cookies when we received the bill (soften the blow) and those were really good. We finished our visit by going to the store, where I was excited to look at clothing and to take home a few items...until I saw the prices. I hesitantly purchased one shirt, which I love. Ok. Driving through on the way home and excited to try Reba's Place. Beat the lunch crowd by about 30 minutes which was good because it got busy fast. Wait staff was nice. Atmosphere was nice. We ordered brunch. Acceptable wait time to a bit long for the food to arrive. My main issue is that my food came out lukewarm, at best. That might even be a stretch as my scrambled eggs were almost cold, as in put on a cold plate then sat for a while before coming to the table. Biscuit was extremely dense and gravy did not taste like the traditional white sausage gravy on top of being, again, lukewarm at best. (I am assuming some sort of added spice that I simply did not like at all. In my opinion it was so wrong, but to each their own for those who like it). Breakfast potatoes were not any warmer. Husband's food was good and at least his was warm. Very disappointing considering the price we paid and the fact that even a fast food restaurant is able to serve warm food. In and out so did not visit the store on third floor. Walked away sad and very disappointed from the experience. read more

It was definitely fun to see the restaurant and the upstairs book area. The seating process was not great. First hostess said she would seat us. We waited as she took multiple other parties info. A second host appeared and instructed us to go upstairs. Once upstairs the hostess had other parties she was seating. So we waited again. When we were seated it was at a small table in a busy area. At one point one worker was moving chairs over her head (and ours) from one table to another. People walking behind us, beside us on all sides. We asked the hostess for a booth, but even though there were three open she said none were available. So as I said, the seating for us (a party of two) was a challenge. The server was just fine. Ordered mini pies to go - waitress got the pie flavors wrong. (Paid for those because I was just done and didn't want to go through the process of being reimbursed.) Drove over to Atoka for my first visit to Reba's Place! Loved the red chair from The Voice! Of course had to get my picture taken sitting in it! LOL! The first two floors is seating for the restaurant and the third floor is the library (Reba's mom's personal collection) and the gift shop! Lots of things to see on the third floor. We ate on the second floor and was able to watch the video screen of Reba's music videos, as well as other country artists. Very enjoyable! We ordered an appetizer of the fried green tomatoes and it was really good! We then all ordered the chicken fried steak! It was delicious and filling! The half size was very large! Took half of mine home. Sides we tried were the fries, very crispy and hot! Loved them! The okra was cooked crispy and served hot! The baked potato was fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside! All the food was great! The service was spot on! She was knowledgeable about the menu and told us some Reba stories too! Very fun! The whole three stories was very clean, as well as the bathrooms! My friend is a huge Reba McEntire fan, so we had to stop here on our way to Dallas. The atmosphere and decorations inside the restaurant would make any Reba fan swoon. It was really cool getting to see some of her iconic dresses on display. The third floor has a gift shop and the first floor has a stage for live music. It felt like a museum and restaurant all in one. The menu has a lot of variety but the prices are the biggest drawback for me. I paid $17 for a grilled chicken salad that was on the smaller side. The food tasted great but it's hard to justify the hefty prices. This restaurant was just so worth the drive. They seated us in this cute private like booth suite and treated us like royalty or maybe like family. The appetizers were so much fun. We had fried green tomatoes, fried cheese curds and fried pickles. The ambience is so Reba she's got all her interviews and videos rolling in the background with lights that say her name "Reba's Place". It has three floors with a cool gift shop and her mom's library with over 5000 books! we drove to hours and 45 minutes in the rain to get here today and I'm telling you it was worth it. My family and I stopped by here while on a family trip and we were highly impressed. I like to consider myself a connoisseur of Chicken Fried steak and I will without a doubt proclaim this is so of the best CFS I've ever had. My Father in Law and I also got the Brisket burnt end's appetizer and for me that was the only part of this meal that was only okay. The sauce was a little funky to me. Not to mention they also serve a bread basket and slices of watermelon before your meal. I've never seen Watermelon being served before the meal anywhere but I like it.
