Nevertheless you can access wifi there - thank god because I had a 10 AM Zoom meeting and there is no service almost anywhere else in the valley (aside from the other ranger station 24ish miles away!). It's right next to a market/gas station with clean bathrooms (that have sinks!), and a little inn, so it's actually a great little pit stop. They have a billboard with park info, and the newsletter for Death Valley so this spot served my needs perfectly. Even the wifi signal was pretty good - I attended my meeting no problem from their large parking lot right in front of the place, and had 360 views of the stunning scenery. So glad this station was here!

Not the cheapest, but pretty reasonably priced overall. We tried the coconut dark chocolate haystacks and laffy taffy. The haystacks were really good. So much dark chocolate and nuttiness. The laffy taffy was alright. Prone to melting even at room temperature, but the kids enjoyed most of the flavors. There's also a gas station - very convenient!

They also sell stuffed donkey toys and other souvenir merchandise but you will also see real donkeys there sometimes blocking a gas pump LoL! Back then we nicknamed it 'the M & M store' because we were always treated to M & M's. There were inexpensive toys for purchase that we always looked forward to getting during our shopping excursions to help us pass the time. Neighbors relied on this store to get fresh milk and produce and it was a lifesaver as my Grandparents only went to Vegas once a month to shop at a full size grocery store. Over the years I continued to return to this store as an adult when I'd visit the Amargosa, and after my Grandparents died I would visit with Marta Becket in DVJ and get my supplies here. Sunny is a delight and it's been so heartwarming to see this formerly very rough little store turn into a very inviting shop & restaurant. I don't know when it first opened under the original ownership but the fact that it's remained a vital Amargosa Valley market these past 54 years for me is precious.
