Love love love my experience at Reboot in Oakland. I had started the cryo spa journey last year & it's been nothing but pleasant contact with all their employees. Daphne took great care of me today and Alissa was also a wonderful person to give me insight on all the benefits of their services. My pregnancy has interrupted my appointments but I am very excited to resume my membership and get back to freezing and floating again after my baby is grown some! :)

Flotation pod or tank are each in private rooms with a shower.

I heard about Flotation Tanks years ago when I lived in LA and never got the chance to try it then. When I discovered this spot, and they were having discounted rates, I was like - now is the time. Well, so glad I did. It's a new relaxing experience and takes me back to floating in the Dead Sea, but in warm salt water in your own private pod, with music of your choice playing and changing color therapy lights inside. Venue is clean and relaxing, while staff are friendly and helpful. For the Flotation experience, I reserved online via their website, one of the rooms for my 1 hour session. I recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes early so you can settle and make yourself a cup of tea or drink water at the reception. You then have about 5+ minutes in your private room to shower and put in clean/new waterproof ear plugs (which they supply). They provide a towel and bathrobe. Then when you enter your pod (recommended nude or with a swimsuit), there's a couple of foam head/neck floating panels you can use to keep your head above water. The lid can be completely closed (recommended) or kept slightly ajar from time to time for some cool air to enter, or even kept open if you want to alternate between floating and sitting. Since the salt content is so high and the water bouyant, it's easy to float immediately by just laying back and lifting your legs. There's a computerized voice announcement in the pod about 3 minutes before your session time is up, so you can exit the pod before it starts to autoclean itself. You then shower in your room and then use their common area vanity cubicle down the hall (has sink, mirror, seat, hairdryer and other light toiletries) You can also sign up for pre-paid monthly membership here for lower costs on their services at this location or other sister locations too. If you don't use it each month, the service item credit rolls over to the next month.

When I arrived, the attendant kindly let me know that I wasn't on the appointment book due to an issue with their system. The Cryo whole body machine I was planning to use wasn't ready yet, but that was no problem at all. I took my time getting ready and waited patiently until it was ready. After my session, the friendly attendant informed me that my room to change was prepared. I wasn't offered any tea or refreshments, but I noticed the woman before me was sitting in the lounge, and I wasn't sure if she was also having tea. When I checked out, I was told my session would be billed at the full price, which was fine with me. I was also asked if I was okay with that, and I agreed. However, I didn't receive an explanation about how, with a little extra, I could have combined two more sessions for a better deal. Overall, the customer service was friendly, but it didn't quite match what was advertised on the website. The staff was very nice and explained that they had a pretty busy morning. Despite that, I've been here before and plan to come back again. I hope they have a better day ahead, and I look forward to a smoother experience next time. I truly appreciate their kindness and hope my next visit will be even better.

Came here for the cryotherapy with some friends, loved the experience. The person who helped us was very informative and made the whole process simple. We were in a bit of a rush and they made sure we were in and out quick. Even though appointment was later we were able to start at an earlier time. Going to come back to try the float experience next, excited about that. Would recommend for anyone who has not tried cryo or cold plunge. I think cold plunge is colder from my experience, was fun to be able to dance inside though and sing.

Aaliyah was very helpful... she came out and answered all of our questions! She was so detailed that we decided to try it out! We will be back soon to give this place a try and once we go that I will update my review however I can already tell that the experience is going to be amazing just from the ambiance of this place! Excited to give it a try!

All staff is wonderful! When I first went and did a float, Maddy did an A1 orientation. I felt guided and was given a unique experience. Anyone can go in and learn how to make the lighting your own while in the pod. My sweet spot is the sunset orange color on static as I feel enveloped by a joyous color. I appreciate they let me shower before and after the float so my skin is appreciative of the experience. I do want to give a special shout out to the most amazing person who works there, Elisa, for being the utmost dedicated to reboot and to all who she advocates to come in. Time after time nothing here, service aside, is better than a hello and a hug from her. Weekly I do the compression boots. As a professional drag queen in heels a lot, I must say this service is pertinent to the aid of my lower extremity health. Please do consider coming here. Nothing about your experience will be negative Awesome shout out to the "get yourself together station" with deodorants, toners, leave in conditioners, and cotton based applicators. Good job Reboot! You're loved by me

Been coming here for years even after a new spot opened up walking distance from me. I love the space and all the amenities-loke the ladies refresh area with common toiletries! People are alway ls nice here but tonight Isaac was above and beyond and that's what made this experience memorable, imprinted on me. He was just so kind and helpful, he was genuine and it just shown through. He walked us through the experience and helped with everything and kept offering us refreshments. What a nice, kind person. My husband and I went for a compression boot session. Thank you, Isaac-and Reboot!

Service 5/5 Experience 3/5 Overall I had a good experience at reboot for Float Therapy. Shoutout to Isaac, the receptionist, who was very patient with all of my questions and thorough in explaining the process. Process: - Try to come 5 minutes early to use restroom, sign docs, etc. - you are taken to your individual room and asked to shower before (body wash provided) - before getting into pod you are provided ear plugs and hair caps (upon request) - the experience is about an hour long. While in the pod you can have lights on or off and choose to have complete silence our soft music. - shower again to get rid of all the salt from your body I chose complete darkness and silence. I didn't necessarily find this experience to be relaxing in the same way a massage or yoga is for me. It was fine, and worth experiencing but would probably try a different service if I visit again.

If you're into health and wellness, I'm sure you've heard of cryotherapy, or in layman's terms, dip your whole ass body into some freezing cold ass water and "BREATHE" because it resets your nervous system. I bought a package called "Fire and Ice." It's the cold plunge and a hot sauna package and I didn't give my husband any warning. We waited in a very relaxing lounge and were led to our room. We were told to plunge first for at least a minute and then hop into the hot sauna for 20 and do the pattern for an hour. The first plunge didn't last for more than a minute, but on my second plunge, I lasted 2:13! At some point, my body just went numb. After warming back up in the sauna, I went back in for a quick dip. Afterwards, doing normal things after the appointment, I felt fresh and invigorated. With all the benefit claims, I think I'm hooked.

CBD Float Session w/ CBD Gummies and I highly recommend! It was our first time and I was a little nervous but we had a quick instructional video we watched and staff walked us through everything and answered all questions. Now for the actual experience, you do shower first and you can bring a bathing suit if you'd like as well but each room for your session is private so it is optional. You shower before you go in and make sure you use the earplugs since you are going to be floating so to avoid it getting in your ears. There's an option to adjust the lighting and sound and to even turn it all off if you prefer a more sensory deprivation experience. You can change your selection throughout which was really nice so you can try all the different modes. One thing to keep in mind is that it is like a bunch of salt (think your at-home epsom salt TIMES A THOUSAND) so it can be a bit of a different texture at first but you can always slightly open the door and they have a spray bottle for just water or if you just need some air at any point during your session. For me, I think a good session would be about 60 min. The full 90 min. was definitely nice but I think about an hour in my mind was beginning to race a little so I think an hour is perfect! Facilities were very clean and the complimentary tea was so lovely and the staff were so kind and helpful! Highly recommend plus they have a variety of different services that I can't wait to check out!!!

Instead, I left in tears with a headache, two anxiety attacks, a popped vein in my right arm, a poke in my left arm, and a wasted 45 minutes plus an hour drive of my Saturday afternoon. My first impressions were not very good. Upon entering the business, I walked by an employee vaping less than 10 feet away from the front doors (hyper wellness). I was greeted promptly, and directed to sit where I would like, and an intake would be performed. I sat in a reclining chair in the IV room, and the same employee that was vaping outside came to take my blood pressure. Another employee came with the menu card to ask me what service I would like, and I chose. A third employee gave me a tablet and asked me to fill out some questionnaires, which I informed them I completed at home. They checked, and it didn't sync over, so I had to fill them out again. Another, 4th employee came to get my blood pressure reading. After that was over, I became concerned because a song came on, that was not so relaxing, a thrash metal song. It was very out of place for a wellness/med spa atmosphere, and was making me feel uncomfortable. I was looking at a room across from the IV room where the music seemed to be coming from, and many employees were gathered there, talking. I was very concerned that they seemed "ok" with this music. As soon as I could get someone's attention, I said, "I don't like this song, it's giving me anxiety and making me very uncomfortable, can you please turn it off?" They informed me, "It's the cryotherapy clients, here, let me shut the door." I asked, "What, so they can play whatever music they want?" She nodded. I asked, "Can't they just wear headphones?" She just looked over at the room where the music was coming from. I could still hear the music, even though the glass door was shut, and the adrenaline was rising inside of me. After the song was over, I burst into tears, letting go of the adrenaline and anxiety. I was offered a glass of water. Very concerned, I asked another employee, "Is that song going to come on again?" I can't do this if there is going to be thrash metal, I can't relax. They assured me everything was going to be ok. I tried to calm down and relax, waiting for my IV therapy. A fifth employee came in and said she would be administering the IV therapy and had to talk about my medical history with a nurse practitioner. As I had time to look around the room, all of the waste baskets by the reclining chairs were full, and it looked gross. Are the employees "too good" to empty waste baskets? By the time she came back, I had BEEN WAITING 45 MINUTES. She tried to find a vein in my right arm, but popped it, then started poking in my left arm. As I was starting to have my doubts, THE THRASH METAL SONG CAME ON AGAIN!!!! I said to her, no, I can't do this, the song is on again, it gives me anxiety, this is supposed to be a calm and relaxing experience, I have to go, I have to go. The adrenaline was rising and I headed out the door as I was having a 2nd panic attack at Restore, where they have words on the wall like "Healing", "Restore", etc. I am a tired mom of three kids on the autism spectrum. My fight/flight response is very sensitive. I advocated for myself and the staff did not listen. I am vitamin-deficient despite supplementation and my nurse suggested IV-vitamin therapy. COMING HERE WAS A BIG MISTAKE. It seems they can't tell their cryotherapy clients to wear headphones and make everyone in the whole practice listen to their playlist. I had to deal with 5 different employees and felt very confused, like I was being passed along and no one told me what to expect next. I am not some wealthy mom from the Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill area, I drove from Vallejo, and I am a tired and overwhelmed mom. After this horrible experience, I did not even get a call from the office, even though multiple employees saw me crying and visibly upset. My face gets red and splotchy when I cry, and stays that way for at least 30-40 minutes. For such expensive services, the customer service is horrible, they treated me like they didn't care.

Update: After reading the owner's response, I'm even more disappointed. Here's the full story so…read morepotential customers can see the pattern for themselves. I never planned on posting this or taking legal action. I tried for years to handle everything quietly and respectfully through calls, emails, and patience. Every response I got from the owner, Tim Fitzgerald, made one thing painfully clear: he refuses to take responsibility for anything that goes wrong. He will charm you when you spend money, but once there is a problem the story changes. You get delays, excuses, and endless "we're checking records" messages that go nowhere. His public reply to my review proves it. Instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, he hides behind paperwork and tries to catch me on technicalities. He even admits his former manager promised my elderly mother a refund, yet two years later she still has not received it. I told him she does not use email and just needed a quick phone call to confirm her mailing address. He refused. Saying he will only communicate in writing is not professionalism, it is avoidance. Then he claims the business "did nothing wrong" but also says the staff responsible are "no longer here." You can't have it both ways. Either the business mishandled things and leadership is responsible, or the staff were not the problem and he is scapegoating them. What's sad is that he still blames me. The former manager told me directly that he would finalize everything with Tim, and I believed him. That's on me. I should have followed up more aggressively instead of trusting their word. Looking back, it's obvious what happened--they smooth-talked me just long enough for my chargeback window to close, and then stopped following through. After everything I went through, Tim's final solution was to tell me to come back and finish my package like nothing ever happened. Imagine that. Two years of emails, phone calls, broken promises, and an admitted refund that was never mailed--and the best he can offer is to act like it never happened. That says everything about how this business is run. I did not start with anger or threats. I started as a loyal customer who believed his word. Every call and every email since has shown me that he does not take responsibility and will do anything to avoid accountability. The only reason I started looking into legal action and consumer protection reporting is because he left me no other choice. This review is the proof. Look at his response and decide for yourself. The man is bad news. I paid $3,000 for a Cryoskin 10-pack, but halfway through my sessions, I was told the machine was broken and pressured into using a treatment I had never heard of (Contour Light). The remaining Cryoskin sessions were converted into Contour sessions because of the broken machine. I felt misled; this was a bait-and-switch in my experience. My mother also signed up based on my recommendation. She was treated poorly by staff, and one employee spoke negatively about her to me. Both of us were promised refunds, but after months of follow-ups, we received nothing in return. Messages were ignored, and promised resolutions were never delivered. We requested refunds because we no longer felt comfortable using their services and because of the restrictions and limitations they placed on us, such as not being able to use the Cryo chamber on the same day and being forced into treatments we did not choose. It's especially frustrating because the Cryo chamber and sauna actually work well, and the employees who run those services were professional and easy to work with. Unfortunately, management, including ownership, just passes the blame to staff in the Cryoskin/Contour department, showing a disregard for client concerns and accountability in my experience. If you truly want to try red light therapy, it's cheaper and safer to purchase it yourself rather than going through this business. And please be honest with yourself, are the results coming from these devices, or your own hard work with diet and exercise? In my view, if these machines truly worked as advertised, the owner would be extremely wealthy. I used to recommend this business to friends, thinking it was professional. Now I question whether the services even work, or if the business operates primarily on marketing and upselling practices. If you value your money and respect, do not trust this business. I will be pursuing my refund through legal channels, and I strongly urge others to carefully consider before paying.

I've also done some cryo facials, and I can honestly say that Jessie is in a league all her own. She is so very smart, does so much research and stays current with how to use the various modalities (I've had experience with Cryo, PEMF, zero gravity chairs, Cryo facials and the infrared sauna) to truly help alleviate what you are feeling. She listens, she cares, and she has the knowledge and experience to help. I was in yesterday for a Cryo facial (it was lovely and so sculpting!) and told her how my daughter was suffering from extreme fatigue. Jessie asked lots of specific questions and then said "I really think I can help her feel better". She found time to get my daughter in just 2 hours later and she did Cryotherapy along with the PEMF mat and the Brain Sense. Within 30 minutes, my daughter literally *bounced back*, was laughing and feeling like herself!! It was incredible! All because of Jessie and her 'house of healing'!!! I cannot recommend Jessie enough. She is an asset to our community and we are so very lucky to have her so close. I think many people dismiss the power of the various wellness modalities at Arctic Restore. Trust me, give her a chance. She will guide you through what makes the most sense given all of your symptoms. She doesn't oversell, she's honest and very trustworthy.

This woman is a true healer. I felt more calm in Jessie's presence. She listens, expertly guides and uses science to dramatically reduce my pain in one session. We started with localized cryotherapy, PEMF and then red light therapy. I was very impressed by how much more better I felt. There was an instant improvement in my shoulders range of movement. Two days later I had another session and I was ready to return to work, despite being told it would be a few weeks. Today, I'm a member dedicated to improving my overall well-being, with weekly guided wellness sessions. I feel the difference in my sleep, immunity, focus and get compliments on my skin from the cryo facials and multi wave light facials, which is a wonderful bonus! Arctic Restore is a sanctuary from every day life.
