I'm so glad I got my walk-in shower was done in 2 1/2 months finally from this Reborn Cabinets company instead of 1-2 days as promised by the salesman. This was the most stressful and horrible experience with this company. My wife wanted me to give it a review with 1 star, but I don't believe it's the company fault. She insisted that the company is only as good as the people who work for them, she does have her point. The story begun when we saw the ads on Facebook, we wanted to change the tub to walk-in for my mother in-law (78 years old) to walk in easier than stepping over the tub for safety. So we answered the ads and the salesman named Jacques (or Jack) came on a Saturday in August. He seemed to be nice, came with a book of all the pictures of options and the company history to sell the company. I and my wife were looking at all the options and due to high prices, we decided to go with the cheapest wall and a nice $3000 door for $13000. We used to remodel our own bathroom so we know what prices of materials were like. The door sold for $3000 is on the internet for less than $1k. But we believe the company needs to make money so they mark up. So what's the problem? Trust, we always trust people, so we signed on a tablet that Jacques had without checking what I was signing. The moral of the story is DO NOT Trust and sign anything on a tablet because it could be modified. Either this salesman had dementia or just plain wanted to cheat us for the door because on the contract (e-contract) we paid $13000 for 3 cheap wall, a cheap shower valves and a tower bar, NO DOOR. We're shocked when the guys came and installed the walk-in showers. He told us we only got the shower bar for shower curtain and no door on the work order. We're glad we only paid for half of the total estimates. The amazing thing was the we had white walls on grey bottom which we normal people would assumed Grey over Grey. Again, we didn't look at the contract and the salesman also had no logic but only had dementia. At least they finished the walls and the showers so my Mother in-law can use the shower. I was also shocked when the valves are connected to the copper water pipes with plastic pipes instead of solder copper with copper. And this is how they're going to guarantee life time. I doubt it very much, but there's nothing we can do because it's the way they do things these days. So the company coordinator asked me to sign the completion work before she create a new work order for the door although there's no door on the contract which is nice, anyone would know no one in the right mind would pay $13000 for 3 cheap walls, shower valves and bar for curtain. The salesman had never call us back to ask about the work. He denied the door was in the contract. So it took three months, we need to buy a curtain for shower, no safety bars, or shelves installed for my mother in-law to use. Then a new coordinator Destiny called and sent us a new work order with a cheap door as courtesy and not the $3000 door we ordered. She warn to send us to Collection if we don't accept the work order and pay the rest of the money. We felt scared and grateful at the same time because they gave us a door out of their good heart because the contract we signed didn't have any door in it. We accepted the cheap door and they came and installed with the safety bars and shelves and I paid the rest of the money. Until now, I have no warranty papers or anything for the life time. I'm not sure if the company exists, if it has any showrooms, or just a website I found on the internet. I'm not sure if this company actually has employees or just sub contractors they found on craigslist. These days, with technology, any company can have a great website. It doesn't matter how many stars the review has as long as the reader understand the truth. It's the results that tells the story. Do not sign on any tablet. Before you pay make sure everything is on the contract with hard copy. Do not trust any booklet that shows the company to be trustworthy because the company is only as good as the employees they hired. read more

Warning: Avoid Reborn Cabinets I spent over $20,000 for a tub-to-shower conversion, and the salesman heavily emphasized their customer service as a reason to hire them. In reality, they have no customer support. The shower knob fell off, so I called their support line and was told to email their warranty address. I emailed them on Sept 23. After two weeks with no response, I sent a follow-up email. Still nothing. I called again and was told they never received my emails and was instructed to submit a new claim. I did, and this time they responded asking for photos. I sent them--and then never heard back. I sent two more follow-up emails and was ghosted again. It is now Nov 22--two months without a working shower. I finally hired a plumber to fix it, which took him five minutes. DO NOT hire Reborn Cabinets. Reborn installed two showers in my home earlier this year. While the installations look beautiful, there have been several minor issues that required service follow-up. A service appointment was scheduled for today between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to replace the side and lower gaskets on one of the sliding glass barn doors and to address a door that is difficult to slide. No one arrived for the appointment, and I did not receive any notification or call to cancel or reschedule. The Service Manager has also not responded to multiple calls or texts. This level of follow-up is unacceptable, particularly for a company that promotes a lifetime guarantee on parts and installation. I have made multiple attempts to reach someone to schedule this simple repair, yet the only time I have been able to reach anyone directly was during the initial sales process. I left a message for the Sales Manager, as that was the only contact number I could locate since it appears much of the original team is no longer with the company. I hope to hear back soon so I can coordinate the needed service. I will follow up with a new review once I do or do not hear back. Think twice, if you need repairs. Reply to response: I emailed their customer satisfaction that Reborn provided and still have not received a response. I plan on contacting the contractor's board and the BBB bureau. Don't fall for their false promises, their work is not the quality that you would expect for what you pay and they don't honor their warranty. Read all the negative reviews they are true. I removed my bathtub/shower to a full size walk-in shower. The sales representative (Stephanie) is fantastic. When demolition started it took 2 1/2 days to complete the project. Demo was very clean with little dust floating around my home. They cleaned up so nicely. Install day was amazing. Tony was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations and asked me specific questions as to where I wanted hand rails in the shower. He did a great job moving my shower head from the east wall to the west wall. Tony was very particular ensuring my wants were met. The shower door install was the icing on cake. I saw an advertisement for 50% off installation and they had good reviews. But this company hounded me. They called me twice a day every day and they said that they wouldn't stop calling me unless I made an appointment the person that came to the house was really nice but she took Almost 3 hours just to give us an estimate and we have a tiny kitchen (12 cabinets and 6 drawers.I honestly don't even think she was measuring anything. She took an hour and a half before she quoted me $18,000. I stated that I thought there was a 50% deal going on, but she said that was installation only and that would only drop the price to like $17,000, just to re-face our cabinets. I politely told her no and to please leave and then the company continue to call me. I blocked their number, but then they would call me from a different number and I just keep blocking their number. They seem to target people who don't have any knowledge about construction or remodeling because she Wanted to make sure that I didn't know anybody that knew about remodeling or construction or that I didn't have any family or friends that were contractors. We got an estimate from a different company after them that said they could replace our entire cabinets for just $6000. I talked to closer sales, window sales, garage door sales, paver sales,... only this cabinet sale was less professional. Workers: both guys are nice, polite and they keep the place clean. Communication: extremely poor. Just poor management. Workmanship: because of the poor workmanship, one door hinges are broken twice. The hinge, the metal piece is broken so the door is just hanging. I don't know when it will fall and anyone will be injured or killed. One drawer (their drawer) is cracked. One drawer handle did not install properly. Warranty and customer service: extremely poor. Previously, I submitted a Yelp review for Reborn because they had failed to refund my mother a $400 refund because the shower door she ordered was no longer available. I didn't think they would respond. Yes, they did; 'send us an email so that we can help further...' So I have responded with an email to their customer service. In reviewing the following comments, there is someone else who is having problems with the piping and not receiving hot water. We used to get hot water to this shower, but now, since the installation of the Jacuzzi, the water is barely lukewarm. They have had someone come out 3 times, and they have said there is nothing they can do. "The water is lukewarm, that should be good enough". Now I have heard that Reborn has gone out of business. Now, no resolution for anything, what a shame. My mother is 101 years old and has to take a shower in cold water because they won't tear out the wall to see what the problem is. Warning. Just because this company is sponsored by Costco, that does not mean they are a company that is honest and easy to work with. My experience was with the sales process. I got a consultation through Costco. I was promised a person would come out, do measurements, and provide a quote. Instead, I got a very passive agressive sales tactic from a sales person that had a fragile ego. He spent 45 minutes telling me how great the company is and tried to get me to install cabinets in areas I had no intention of installing. He was trying to upsell me. Finally I got tired of listening to him and ask him if he is going to show me the product and do measurements. Their selection is extremely limited so be very careful. They were not honest about the pricing. I got a based price and then all of a sudden there were addons that seemed basic for someone getting cabinets. I was only given a broad range and he would never give me specifics. Finally I asked him if he was going to do measurements and give me a quote, he said "I can but I can tell you the approximate costs right now". It seems that he is hiding the fact that there would be 30 to 50% more cost associated with the base cost. When I asked about leaving a brochure, he got defensive. I told him that it is strange that I'm suppose to make a decision and on this first visit and without a proper quote. He then told me for the second time that I should find another smaller boutique shop (!!!!!). At this point, I realized that he was never going to give a quote because I figured out his sales tactic. He then walked out on me because I was asking "proper and informed questions". So watch out for this company. I called in to make a complaint and they ignored me and never called back with a manager. It seemed that my project was a "basic refacing of about 12' of cabinets" and that project was too small for them. Just because they are selling through Costco does not mean they are a good company. I'm going to make further complaints to Costco on how they can partner with a company like this as it ruins their reputation. read more

Has anyone called their warranty service? I have some defective caulking area where part of the caulking has small holes and mold/mildrew growing after a little over one year of installation. They will not hornor the warranty and now saying I only have 1 year for mold/mildrew problem. Obviously it is defective during installation since the mold is growing in that section and the rest of the bathroom is cleaned. Clearly, Warranty exclusion only includes regular maintenance for caulking and surface and Mold/mildew caused by not keeping up with maintenance. The rest of the area is nicely clean without any mold/mildew. it is only small session that we can't get it clean because small holes in the caulking which mean it is defective workmanship and they have refused to honor the 25 years warranty. Their refacing product does not address your worn out cabinet interior and frames. All they do is cover up and paint the exterior surface with laminate, yet charge with with $$,$$$.$$ as if they built a brand new cabinet for you. When they completed refacing our cabinet, it looks good from the outside but terrible from the inside. When we asked them to leave the excess laminate cuttings so that we can use them to cover up the terrible looking interior shelves, they initially agreed but eventually refused and strongly argued that it's not in the contract that they can give us the excess/surplus cuttings. They also said that those excess cuttings are already allocated to be used for another project! Really!?? Most of those excess cuttings have already been glued and cut out from our cabinet openings. I explained to them that the cost of these bulk materials that were delivered to the site was part of the cost that we have pair for, so we should be able to use them. They strongly argued that it's not in the contract and they are already allocated to another project. Wow, they recycled our materials and use them for some other projects. That's a terrible business practice. For sure they charged that other project with regular price but used the recycled cuttings from our cabinet. They also said that they can provide us with additional laminates to coverup the inside, but will charge us additional cost. Wow! Maybe when you sign a contract with this company, make sure to include a clause for them the leave the excess laminate cutting if you beed to address your worn out interior. read more

The city code inspector arrived, as scheduled, complemented the quality of work, and signed off. No issues. I asked if he was coming back later the same day for final inspection... he just laughed. (He was wrong) So, waited forever, then demo & installation in 31 hours. Workspace was so friggin' clean the whole time. Not a spec of debris or even a shoe track from the front door to the bathroom. This may not be a representation of the Livermore location, but this is only if you contracted Reborn Cabinets through Costco. I just finished a kitchen remodel and all I can say is I cannot recommend contractor services through Costco. The only thing you get from Costco is a gift card (whoop-dee-doo). This was my first and only kitchen remodel in 17 years. I waited a long time to transform my 1967 kitchen (dark brown cabinets, avocado green countertops and matching green appliances) to 2022 upgrades. It might not be a big deal to a contractor, but to me this was a lot of money. I contacted Reborn through the Costco brochure. We met with Vihn in July 2021 who gave us a great sales pitch and convinced us to sign on the same day. We got pushed by Reborn to select our appliances. There's a lot of hurry up and wait going on, and it got annoying because different people would call us for the same information we provided. What we didn't realize was Vihn was the sales person in San Jose, the office was in Southern CA, the PM Lead at the time was in another location. We were getting pushed very hard on this because they wanted to install in November. It took us 2-3 months to decide on appliances (August). Again, appliance purchases are not something we take lightly. We haven't had to buy a stove/oven/cooktop ever. We were also working with existing measurements that we found do not meet today's mega mansion appliance standards. Also, when we were researching appliances, we needed to upgrade our electrical to today's appliance standards. Once we had the appliances ordered, we assumed we were starting in November, only to find out we got pushed to February, we were able to negotiate it back to January. The appliances were on a supply chain hold until November, but fortunately were held for us. The reason why this got pushed was the Costco affect. Everyone was doing this so as the business was piling up, the further back we got pushed. We dealt with so many people at Reborn for the same information. Everyone wanted appliance specs and I must have sent it to five different people. The irony is when the installers were on site, I had to print out the specs and they got it wrong with the inserts for the double ovens. January rolled around and the work started for a solid week. I was disappointed that the plastic sheeting didn't cover our family room, so there was a lot of dust even though I covered our sofas. Plastic sheeting on one side but not dividing the family room. We had a go back because one of the doors was missing. The other thing that was not addressed early on was the hood. The hood we purchased was larger than our existing and no one caught it. This required a change order, but we were waiting on a door. After the counters were installed and screwed up, Reborn had to fix their mess (I heard I'm not the first to experience this). My husband went back and forth on the drawer under the cooktop only for it to stay, but we changed the door under the sink to a false front to accommodate the sink that the countertop contractor messed up. The Project Manager that we ended up working with (Justin) seemed overwhelmed. We were low priority job and it took another month to get the final work scheduled for the end of February for the change order work. At one point, we were contacting every day just to get a response. Reborn was ready to bill us for the initial work and we were still not fully complete. The work was supposedly a 1-day job that started on a Saturday and went past 6pm. The installer said there were a lot of errors that he had to fix and the ovens/drawers/doors were pulled out and in our family room. He wasn't sure if he was going to come back on Monday depending on where Justin wanted him. I do want to note that this installer was really good and knew what he was doing. My stars go to him, but everyone else killed their rating. By the way, Justin stopped by on Saturday, but didn't have the balls to introduce himself to us. It would have been good business to at least do that. I followed up with Fatima at Reborn on Monday and was told no one was coming on Monday because our installer threw his back out. She passed me back to Justin who would have our installer back later in the week. The work took another two days, but when my husband finally met Justin for final sign off the only thing my husband could say to him is, "We're done." Overall, the finished work looks great thanks to our installer - he saved our kitchen and I cannot thank him enough! This was a very stressful experience to the point that we will never contract any services through Costco. We put our trust in them and just felt our small job didn't matter. read more

Our installers, Reggie and Mark arrived both days early. They both put their booties over their shoes before entering. Reggie walked us through everything he was going to do and confirmed that our order was correct. On the first day, they worked all day from 8 am until 6:30 ish, could have been a little later. Both guys were very professional, clean and very nice. They returned the 2nd day and put all the accessories on. They also cleaned up after working both days. Convenient and care free installation! From the initial appointment it was a seamless process. Jeff, the design/sales representative came to the property to explain the process, pick colors and finishes, provide pricing and take estimates. The installation date was scheduled about 8 weeks out. We paid a 50% deposit at that time. The installation date was confirmed and Tony, the installer was very informative and transparent about the install process. He also had great recommendations about where the appliances and grab bars should be placed. Tony was the only worker and he stayed all day until the job was complete. I had my work done 2 months ago. I was told by the sales representative that since I'm a Costco member, I would receive 10% rebate. He took my Costco membership number and everything. All the work was done and I wanted to know when I would receive my rebate, I was told by the project manager that I contracted directly through Reborn and that I WON'T be getting REBATE. and we are talking about 10% of $24,000 project. I even have text message that I could show to the project manager that I was told there is 10% rebate, and I was flat out told " There is nothing we can do." Please take my advice. The sales representative also didn't inform me that certain surfaces of the cabinets will not be covered. I only found out later when the measurement guy came out (by then I tried to cancel but it was too late.) They will have you do anything to sign the contract and the company will not stand by what was promised. You will soon BE STUCK with the contract within days and that you can't cancel the order ( I called within a week) even though it didn't even go under production. If you want to cancel order, you have to pay significant % for cancellation. I have NEVER IN MY LIFE written a bad review. NEVER. But this time, I strongly feel that it is all the customers rights to know how unprofessional company is, how poorly executed the process is and how they can foul play customers and NOT give you the rebate that you were promised (not small amount, we are talking $2400 and I'm a Costco memeber and my number was given to the sales representative.) ( I do want to note that workers who actually came out to work- they worked hard. They did their job. Reborn cabinets did work on two of our units. They clean every thing up before the walk through, so if you need things repairs or adjusted you will be told that they will 'come back'. For both units we were told that financing would not be pulled until the job is done. Both jobs needed a few more doors/drawers. They said they would come back when missing parts were manufactured. They pulled the money anyways and now we are unable to get them to come back to finish. its been 5 months and there is a gaping hole in 1 kitchen where a door and drawer should be and the other kitchen has misdrilled holes. We needed to convert our tub to a walk in shower. The first crew that came out discovered serious dry rot under the old tub and the city inspector stopped work until he decided what need to be done. 2 days later Tony assisted by Josiah arrived, solved the dry rot problems to the inspector's satisfaction and completed the job in 2 days working from 8 to 6:30 to get the job done. I was defrauded and I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. I found a deal from Costco and was pressured to sign a contract within 3 days because otherwise the deal would expire. The work order took 4+ months to manufacture and the installers took 3 days to install. The kitchen installation was very poorly done, with dust and dirt all around my house. They used my garage for sawing, cutting etc but did not have the courtesy to clean up after. They created dings on the resurfaced cabinets during installation and when we pointed it out, they created a warranty order to fix it. They also threw away my good shelves, while their resurfacing contract doesn't provide new ones. It's been 2+ months, I haven't got shelves for my cabinets, making my kitchen unusable. I have scratched out cabinets that look worse than my old cabinets now.. The customer service is non-existent, they only answer new order queries. Their project managers are irresponsible and rude when I asked them for accountability. read more
