I am very disappointed with this company. What was intended to be a one-day installation of a walk-in shower has now been delayed and dragged on for over six weeks. After having waited over two months for the first available installation appointment, on the day of installation (July 25, 2022), the installer did not have sufficient paneling to complete the project, yet he told me that I needed to sign the completion certificate. This was clearly a miscalculation at the warehouse as the project contract detailed the exact measurements for the shower paneling. He contacted the scheduling manager in the Livermore office, who called me to inform that they would need to order the additional paneling which would take up to two weeks, and that she would request a "rush" order. At the end two weeks, I called the scheduling manager for an order status. She said that the installer had not received the paneling and that she would follow up with the order. She later called me back and said the order would be arriving in two MORE weeks. Here clearly someone had not processed the order or it was "back ordered" and I wasn't apprised of that. So, it's four weeks since the initial partial installment, when I called the scheduling manager back and was told the paneling had arrived and that the first available date that the original installer could return to complete the job would be 9/19/22, but that she knew I had been waiting so she was going to try and push the date sooner. She later confirmed she was able to get the original installer to return on 9/3/22, within an ETA window of 8 - 10 am. On 9/2/22 the scheduling manager called me to confirm the scheduling for the next day. On 9/3, I was awaiting the installer who never showed up. At 10:33, I called Veronica to let her know he hadn't arrived and she said that he would not be able to complete the project, and that another installer was going to arrive later that day, but that it would be several hours because the new installer was on another project. When I asked her what time I could expect him, she was ambivalent and suggested possible 1:00. I expressed my dissatisfaction to her about how this had been handled. I asked her if she had known about this when she called the previous day to confirm. She said she didn't know about the conflict in scheduling until after noon on the day she had called me to confirm. Okay. So why didn't she call me back right away to let me know then? This was a major disruption to my day as I had to cancel a morning appointment to be home for the original appointment, and then cancel an afternoon appointment to await the new installer. The new installer arrived earlier than expected in an "unmarked" van, and when he saw the partially installed paneling he said he only had enough paneling to complete the back wall but not the side walls. (???) I called the scheduling manager immediately and told her what had happened and had the installer speak with her. Now, she's telling me that they may have to order more materials. Is this going to take another two weeks?? I told her that I was not happy and very disappointed in the company, and that I want to be compensated for the inconvenience. There is clearly a lack of communication and skill within this company as this is not a singular incident but a consistent number of events in miscommunication among the Reborn staff as well as the staff to the client. A client should be kept apprised of all changes as they occur especially in scheduling or if materials are on back order. If the materials were on back order, I could handle that if I'd been apprised up front, but this was treated like it's business order as usual. I'm expecting a phone call from the scheduling manager today; to date the installation remains incomplete. If any client has experienced this before with this company (or another) I'd be open to your input on how you resolved it. read more

I had my bathtub replaced with a shower stall ($12K). The install went fairly well, however, after the install I had questions about the care of the bench seat and I also got talked out of the trim around my whole window by the young installer. I called the salesman and heard from another salesman, who basically told me in between the lines, too bad about the trim not being around the whole window, just put a curtain. It looks half done. It seems this company is good about getting the contract upfront, but they aren't worried about 100% satisfaction after they get your money. We are so happy that we chose Reborn to change our shower to a soaker tub and to redo our cabinets! One week after we chose to go with Reborn, we had Tony and his co-worker ( I am sorry that I don't remember his name) complete our shower upgrade in one day. They did an excellent job. We had an old shower with tile and wanted a soaker tub with an easy-to-clean acrylic surround. The project went smoothly and quickly and we are very satisfied with the work and quality of products. Two weeks later Will and Josh arrived ready to work to remove all our cabinet doors and drawers. We changed our old oak cabinets replaced with white cabinets and nice, solid doors and drawers. They did an excellent job!! They tried to cover and block off the rest of the house from the sanded old cabinet finish. They were thoughtful and very conscientious about their work. Don't do business with this unethical company! I contracted with them in June 2018 to replace my tub with a shower due to my disability. They started the work in June but hadn't met their obligations of the contract, so I withheld the final 10% payment. Regardless, they turned me over to collections by August. Then in September, they recorded a lien on my house, although they didn't actually finish the job until February 2019. At that point they said they'd remove the lien. However here I am in October trying to close on the sale of my house with a clouded tile due to a mechanics lien. To add insult to injury, I had to pay them for the recording of the lien to get them to remove it. Extortion!! I absolutely would not recommend this company read more

I saw an ad on TV and decided to call Reborn. I described a kitchen project: replace a built-in desk with cabinet and new counter, add a new pantry cabinet. Yes, they do that work, no problem. Scheduled an appointment. I got a call asking to reschedule the appointment. Again described the project, agreed on a new time. A day or two before the appointment, I got a call from Reborn where the person described something different: replace cabinets and counters. I again explained what the project entailed. Was told they don't have a contractor in this area that installs new cabinets. Did I still want someone to come out to give an estimate? For work they can't do? Cancelled the appointment. I received a followup phone call yesterday, asking if I wanted to reschedule. Again asked to describe the project another time. Said no (emphatically) that they had cancelled and that I would not hire them. Today, received an email saying that there had been a scheduling conflict, did I want to reschedule. Replied that Reborn cancelled, no schedule conflict, no I didn't want to do business with them. Received a text message asking me to reschedule. Received yet another phone call from Reborn asking to reschedule. Again said I had no interest in hiring them. read more

I had considered Reborn for a new bath/shower solution a few years back but was not ready to move forward. When the time came to finally do the job, Reborn was my first call. Our hall bath will be our teenager's main bathroom as well as the guest bathroom. Because the Reborn solutions are anti-mold, anti-bacterial and easy to maintain, this was a perfect solution for us. I was offered compensation for my time of the originally scheduled estimate. She took the estimates and provided me with a very cost effective solution that didn't waste any more of my time. Everything was taken care of through email which made it easy. They finished the install in less than a day. The installer called me after to let me know it all went well. My tenants sent me pics, it looks great and I can't wait to go see it this weekend. I know that shit happens but the fact they went above and beyond to make it right restored my confidence. We recently decided to remodel our kitchen. Rather than replace our cabinets, we decided to look at refacing. After looking at other vendors we met with Reborn. Their salesperson was low pressure, and explained the whole process. Best part of all, Reborn provides a 25 yr warranty! Our kitchen is now complete, and I could not be happier. The workmen that came to my house were very professional, and just a pleasure to be around. When they arrived they wore masks and at the end of everyday left our house clean and tidy. My only negative is that Reborn only had limited options for countertops and we had to do this on our own. We had water leak due to our old bathtub and plumbing. We had a tough time to find professionals who would work on both plumbing and remodeling our bathroom. We contacted a local plumbing company who showed up one time and never followed up. And some bathroom companies we contacted would install a new bathtub only, they asked us to find someone else to tear down the old bathtub, and to execute the plumbing work prior to the installation of the new bathtub. The bathtub was a one-piece that had been installed at the construction of the home, it was big and tall and could not be taken out through the entrance door; instead, it had to be cut into pieces in order to be removed. Anyhow, the whole thing would require the coordination of up to three different contracting companies to get the job done. We had been without the use of our bathroom for a few months already. Then, luckily, at a local Mardi-Gras festival, we ran into a stand about a bathroom company named "Reborn Cabinets" that we had never heard about before. We were initially skeptical. Then we read up and tried to find out about their works. Anyhow, we ended up meeting with Calvin, the Reborn designer. We are very pleased with the overall process that the Reborn team has worked with us from the beginning with Calvin who took a good amount of time to explain in details about the different designs for our bathroom and pricing. The final executions of tearing down our old bathtub, the plumbing works, and the remodeling of our bathroom were performed by one team (Guillermo and Jefferson). They did a very fine job and explained to us every step of the plumbing works that needed to be done, and showed us every step of their execution to our satisfaction. The completed and clean work is a well deserved two-thumbs-up ! All the works were done in less than 2 days and there was no need for us to coordinate three different companies to work together. After waiting 3weeks, from the time i signed my Reborn Agreement, i called to find out when they were going to come and install my new shower. I was told a scheduler will be contacting me soon. A few days later a lady called to ask if i wanted doors because they had not been included in the Agreement, but i said I had picked out the frameless doors from the Reps. Brochure and that they were included in the quote. A week later a scheduler called to schedule the installation. The morning of the installation i received a call at 7:30a.m to say the doors that i wanted were discontinued but they could order some similar ones but it would take 4-6 weeks to get them. The installer still came on that scheduled day and installed the shower with NO doors. 2 weeks later i received a call to say the doors would be here in a week. I then received another call when the doors had arrived at Reborn BUT was told they were damaged so some new ones should be here in another week. Once again another call, on the day that the doors should have been installed, this time i was told that this particular door was " too heavy " for my new shower wall. Reborn could offer me a lighter weight door BUT it was NOT "Frameless". This was Not what i wanted all along!!! Now 6 weeks after the initial signing of the Agreement I have to start again looking for shower doors that will work on the new walls I have. I do want to mention that the installers Fernando & Donny deserve a 5 Star Mention they were very professional/fast & cleaned everywhere they worked. read more

Let me explain my experience: 1- gave me wrong pricing and once installed changed the price 2- first installation was a absolute nightmare and nothing was done correctly. Had to be redone and had to go through 3 weeks without use of my shower during the holidays. I only have 1 bathroom in my house and they knew that! 3- would not compensate for the huge inconvenience in time and non functional bathroom 4- they lost my signed completed paperwork and tried to threaten me with collections when it was already turned into them! The workers were terrific, the work is quality but the management were lousy. We started the process in November for refacing one small and one medium bathroom cabinets. It took till June. Granted Covid must've interrupted their work force however, they measured wrong twice, thus delaying the project months. The contact people kept leaving the company so I was left with no one. Then after finding the new manager he was as inefficient as the rest. Cancelled my job only to find the workers showed up with no equipment. One waited in his car for almost 5 hours. Had the audacity to say he was sorry as he went away for the weekend. I don't care about his personal life; very, very unprofessional to mention it even. They were however brilliant at phoning 15 times a week to solicate my project on the 'kitchen' (yes they called it a kitchen until the last day); even after I'd paid a deposit. First World Problems I know, but you might want to re-think. read more

Update. After a few reschedules the cabinets are complete. The process getting there was not easy. Along the way we had to store all the refacing materials- so be prepared and have space set aside for that! Because it was very rainy this year we were not able to keep much of anything outside which meant our living room was filled with materials. Our installer was very good in that, for example, one of the long refacing pieces he was sent was pealing away from the "wood". He was not going to use that piece when I'm sure lesser installers would have used it and looked the other way. He took it back to the shop and he was able to strip off the white facing and reattach it to another piece of wood so we didn't have to delay the project again. Also, when the doors arrived, there were some small imperfections in several of the doors so he installed them, but then came back and reinstalled the new doors about a month later after careful inspection. Does the kitchen look good now? Yes. Much improved, however, truthfully I think the $17k price tag was ridiculous for my very small corner economy kitchen. The only reason I went with them from the start was because of their affiliation with Costco and the warranty. Let's hope I don't have to use the warranty. So far so good!! read more

I chose Reborn cabinets as a Costco member assuming it would be a good experience and good quality with a professional company. (I had an excellent experience the year before with Shaw flooring via Costco). So needless to say, I am quite surprised that Costco even endorses Reborn Cabinets. What a frustrating and non professional experience I have had. They have so many excuses and just can't get a simple job done. "the other installer was sick" or "the original installer is on another job" or "the new installer picked up the wrong parts" or 'the other installer measured it wrong" or " the corners are chipped from shipping. I have a white Sharpie I can fill that in with." !!!I am surprised they are still in business. They ordered the wrong size parts, they did not order parts, they ordered parts but the installer didn't pick up the parts from the warehouse. The facing on the doors don't match- they are a different finish. The drawer pullouts weren't ordered or the ones they brought were the wrong size. The bread board is too short, they brought the wrong lazy Susan, they installed the wrong moulding, they didn't finish the corners as ordered, the hinges are falling off, the doors don't close. I paid A LOT of money December 2021 to have nothing to show for it May 2022. My kitchen is back in boxes AGAIN! They have been to my house 5 times and have not actually completed anything yet. Their simple response is "It's ok, you can put the items back in the cabinet and remove them when we come." I am tired of boxing up my kitchen and taking time off of work for an incomplete, unprofessional and expensive job. There must be a better company you can choose. I will no longer assume Costco has the best choices for it's members. read more

Well here goes. I was stopped at costco and given a brochure and they required that I make an appt right then. Which was fine because I am looking for new kitchen cabinet doors. The man that came out was super nice and knowledgeable. But I was never given a written quote. He read some numbers at the end and I wrote them down but he said don't worry I will call you tomorrow and also email you the quote. This never happened. Was also told that I had 24 hrs to get the best price. I've texted him requesting a quote and still nothing. I called Reborn and asked for my quote and still nothing. Wow I guess they don't really want the business. And online they show an address in Pleasanton on Commerce circle, well they are not longer there and I left work early to drive down there, since they close at 4pm. How can you guys stay in business with not quotes given out and no showroom. I will keep looking. read more

Saw many ads in local paper about Kohler Luxstone shower surround. Made appt for estimate. No prob, rep arrived punctually. Very polite and friendly, but OMG!!! I had to sit through a one hour presentation before I was shown samples of the Luxstone. Beautiful product. Then another hour and a half until I was finally given an estimate. It's a great way to redo a tired outdated shower; but frankly, I started losing interest 30 minutes into the presentation. Another 30 minutes later, the rep went out to his vehicle to bring in his suitcase of Luxstone samples. Finally I got to see it and feel it. I was back in project mode again, but not for long. I selected the colors, trim, shower door, fixtures . . . then ANOTHER HOUR AND A HALF watching power point presentation on rep's tablet, listening to his pitch . . . the rep just would not give me the Reader's Digest version. I completely lost interest, and told him to end his presentation. Only then was I given the "good for 12 months price", and after another couple minutes, he gave me the good for "30 days" price. Never got to the "buy it today" price. In summary, this was bath remodel meets timeshare sales presentation. At least in a timeshare presentation, you are fed a meal. Message to the marketing poobah at Reborn: please tailor your presentation (sales pitch) to the personality of the potential client, and please be respectful of the client's time. I'm sure there are clients who enjoy a two and a half hour exchange of pleasanteries, but not everyone. For me, this process took me from "yes I want to do this" to "if the first meeting is like this what am I getting myself into if I say yes." read more

Customer service is infuriating. If you're calling them on behalf of a company, don't bother. Apparently they don't know how to process the fact that a company can own real estate property. I work for a real estate investment company that owns the building and I called about a bath wrap/liner project. Two different customer service reps could not understand the concept of our company's director of construction having the legal capacity to meet with Reborn and approve work. Each Reborn rep would ask me who the homeowner was... I'd say our company name... they'd say they have to meet with the homeowner... I'd repeat that the owner is the COMPANY so they'd be meeting with our construction director [insert name] who can legally enter into contracts for the company... and the Reborn rep would say that's no good, they have to meet with the homeowner. WHAT?! read more

We hired Reborn to redo our bathroom ... everything but the paint. The five stars are due to the professionalism and work by Tony Dinh and his assistant, Eric. The job took less time than we expected and the results were great. Tony is a master and can do it all. We got to Reborn through Home Depot in Capitola, and Reborn had to work around some of the glitches caused by others. My point is that Tony shielded us from dealing with the problems; he took care of it all. Additionally, he was flexible in meeting our special needs and gave us good advice. After we finish painting, I'll try to post photos. read more

Once you are a customer this contractor is VERY difficult to work with - it is almost impossible to get a hold of them, I've never played this much voicemail tag in my life. To make matters worse, their quality control leaves a LOT to be desired - they didn't finish the job: It was a bathroom remodel, and they installed the tub spout so that it was not flush with the wall, there is a half-inch gap between the back of the spout and the wall, exposing a hole through which water and water vapor travel behind the wall. Having been waiting for weeks for them to come finish the job. At this juncture, VERY disappointed. Can NOT recommend. read more

I wasn't planning to give this place a bad review, but now two years later they are spamming my phone with sales calls, I feel they deserve it. I had a project ready to schedule except for a few small change orders when our project manager, Jimmie, fell off the face of the earth. A month of phone calls and emails were ignored. The office was no help either because Jimmie was the only person who could help me or schedule my project (which makes no sense to me - no one else there can help me? Do you not want to work?). To top it off, they didn't even know the guys cell phone number! Hey - it's probably a good idea to know your own employees phone numbers! Well I finally got a hold of a regional manager and after a lengthy discussion (he offered a discount to make up for their mistakes) we decided that we didn't trust their abilities to actually get the job done so we moved on and got our bathroom remodeled with a local contractor. I had an easier time communicating with the worker who only spoke Mandarin through Google translate than I did with Reborn. Fast forward two years later to 2020 and now I'm getting spam calls about my bathroom remodel project from Reborn, even after telling them that I'm not interested anymore. Stop calling me. read more

We had an appointment for them to come at 3 today. At 2:45, I received a text message that my appointment was canceled because I did not respond to their call, and because my phone did not accept their message. I called the number the text message asked me to call. I was transferred to another person, after waiting for 5 minutes, and was told the same thing. But my cell phone records show no call from the Reborn. There is no attempt for them to text me. My husband just called my cell phone, and was able to leave me a message, so I assume my phone is functional. And they're blaming me and my phone for their cancellation. I think it'll be my interest to bring the business elsewhere. read more

Reborn Cabinets did a fantastic job on our kitchen cabinets, refacing stale looking oak surfaces into beautiful and lustrous espresso color panels. We also replaced several of the shelves in the cupboard with pullouts. This has made it some much easier for us, elder adults, to access all our kitchen utensils and plates. The kitchen refacing design was guided by Nora Mendez, our wonderful kitchen designer, who took us though the selection of different refacing and shelving options efficiently and always looking for the most cost-effective solution. The results are superb. It's like a new and beautiful kitchen! The installer team, led by Mario, did an incredible job in less time that what was scheduled. They arrived on time every morning and set up the work area quickly and efficiently, protecting all appliances and furniture inside and outside from any scratches or dents. Every day they would finish their scheduled work and cleaned the working area and stored all the working tools and materials neatly and out of the way. We had thought we would not have access to the kitchen during the work but every night we could access and use the fridge, sink and counter without problem. Mario was fantastic, answering all our questions readily and even making suggestions for cabinet shelves decisions to maximize space and ease of use. He even detected minor dents in one door and a cabinet panel that were hardly visible and made sure that replacement parts were ordered and installed in a follow-up visit. We are so happy with our renovated kitchen that we planned to have Reborn work on redoing the kitchen in our vacation home. read more

We had nothing but trouble. Faulty installation resulting in leaks that ruined floors. They finally replaced the tub/shower after sending 6 or 7 unqualified people out. Our bathroom was torn up for 4 months. It delayed the listing of our home and cost us a bundle. The warranty department is especially bad. read more
