Plain Pancakes Two Eggs Side- Sausage
    Lauren D.

A friend recommended this spot, so I decided to stop in for breakfast. The customer service was excellent, attentive, and welcoming. The food itself was fairly average overall, though I did appreciate the authenticity. The sausage was good quality and the eggs tasted fresh and real, not processed or from a box. The atmosphere, however, did not offer much. There was not much to take in visually, so my solo breakfast ended up being more time on my phone than enjoying the setting. Overall, a decent stop but not especially memorable.

I returned to Recipes determined to try something from the House Specials section of the menu. I ordered the Bún Thịt Nướng Cha Gio (Vietnamese Grilled Pork Noodles), and I'm so glad I did. The dish was delicious. It's definitely something I would order again. The other House Specials look really good, too. I plan to eat my way down the list. I'll keep you posted.

Amazing food, anything you order from the menu is amazing. Service is amazing may have a wait on sundays because how busy they are. 10/10 restaurant would recommend. Super clean, family owned and ran right!!

    Farmers Choice Two Egg Combo
    Paul E.

Rating purely as a breakfast joint, Recipes has a fairly diverse menu that covers most of the bases when you think of breakfast to include eggs to order combo's, skillets, omellets, pancakes, French toast, Eggs Benedict and the list goes on and on. For my first meal here I had their two egg farmers choice breakfast that included two eggs cooked to order, choice of meat, house potatoes and toast at a very reasonable cost of $8.50. Food was well made, not too oily, and was very tasty. Aside from the food I ordered coffee as well where this was definately a good cup of Joe where the wait staff was on top of the refills. Nice! The restaurant itself has a very comfortable and inviting feel to it with a nice casual atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and on top of their game with prompt ordering, great follow up throughout the meal, and most importantly quick on the coffee refills. Prices are very reasonable versus competition which is a big plus, Overall one of the better breakfast joints in the area and if you are an early riser like I am they open at 7am which is a huge plus in my book as so few restaurants do this anymore in this area. Definately a place to check out for breakfast the next time you are in the area.

    Great Lakes Cold Brew

I definitely ordered from the wrong menu. When I sat down and saw the two menus, I focused on the Weekend Specials. Instead of the drip coffee, I ordered the Great Lakes Cold Brew. Unfortunately, I did not realize it was coffee in a can. The waitress could have opened the can for me. It was a newbie mistake as none of the other diners ordered the coffee in a can. Not a fan of caramel nor non-pork sausage, I went with the BBQ Hash. Since the menu stated the eggs came scrambled, I did not expect to be asked how I would wanted them cooked. At times, I may be asked if I was okay with how the eggs are cooked as mentioned on the menu. The brown sugar sauce was applied neither sparingly nor dumped over the hash. I was able to eat the hash with and without the BBQ sauce. Although they were on the same plate, the eggs were served as if they were a side. Probably due to folks not wanting any of that sauce on their eggs. In any case, the BBQ hash must be a lunch entree with the eggs and toast added for the weekend brunch version.

Couldn't check in because of phone problems. I had one of my meetup brunches here and everyone one enjoyed their food. Very large menu for breakfast and while smaller the brunch menu has good selection of sandwiches, salads, and entrees. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and the amount of food. All of us took food home. My eggs Benedict was great and warmed up well the next day. Lots of parking and not as busy as the other locations. Service was friendly but not hovering. Has coke products, almost too many choices of tea, and the normal breakfast drinks. I look forward to coming back when I am in the area.

Menu is HUGE. SO much food to choose from. Luckily, I looked online first so I knew what I wanted, & it was on the menu, when I arrived. I highly suggest doing this if you have a hard time deciding (like me) so you can glance, find your dish & place your order. I think I'm going to come again tomorrow to try something else I didn't see alcohol on the menu so I'm assuming it's a dry brunch spot. A REAL rose at every table. Tables seat 4-6. I was alone at a 4 seater. I ordered the salmon hash w/ english muffins & 1/2 order of cinnamon swirl french toast. The salmon was dry BUT the over easy eggs & hollandaise sauce made up for it. The 1/2 order french toast comes with 2 nice sized slices so i'm assuming a full order is 4. I wouldn't finish a full order in 1 sitting so I'm glad I went w/ 1/2. Waiter was so friendly, attentative, & timely!

Stopped by on a quick weekend trip to Detroit this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon this breakfast spot. We were greeted at the door (I think it was by the owner?) and promptly seated. Dee, our server was so sweet and helped recommend some of their specialties because we couldn't decide on what we wanted. Hubby ended up getting the Chuck Wagon Skillet, I got the Huevos de Paco Benedict, my parents got the Chicken & Waffle Benedict and the Corned Beef Hash and of course I got the chocolate chip pancakes for my kiddos. Oh we also got an order of their Blackberry Biscuits because why not? When everything came out we were surprised at how big the portions were. I liked the fact that the corned beef wasn't from a can like a lot of other breakfast places tend to use. The one downside was that their food was too good! My husband and I always switch plates in the middle of the meal to try each other's dish, but when I passed my plate to him, he had already finished his meal! My parents also finished their dishes too, which they hardly ever do. The only thing missing was my brunch mimosa but I heard that they may be serving them up really soon so be on the look out! Not sure when the next time I'll be in Detroit but I'll be definitely recommending Recipes to anyone who is looking for a local brunch spot.

Definitely recommend this spot for breakfast/brunch. Unique combinations for omelets. I ordered a "california roll" and it was great. Avocado, cream cheese and cucumbers inside. Very enjoyable and the service was friendly and pretty good too.

The food was just OK. The service was very, very slow and the order was wrong. Even after the server, ask for clarification on the order.

First off, the place is a dead zone for cell service and they don't offer WiFi to their customers. Stupid. Secondly, they continually are out of things or don't offer them even if it's on their menu. Today it was apple juice and PB & J sandwich- how the hell do you not offer the easiest sandwich in the world to make!? After that, they get their produce from GFS when they have a literal farmers market out their front door. Pretty sure that's where they also get their burger meat from cause their burger sucks too. It made me feel ill and I didn't finish it. Also their chicken tortilla soup, while it had a nice kick to it, was disgusting. A milky queso dip- like texture with little to no actual chicken in it. Gross. Had hopes for this place as a first time experience but never going back. Cool looking place but you can't even hear yourself think and low quality food.

I arrived early to sample their Happy Hour where I got a Tommy Margarita which was one of four cocktail choices on the Happy Hour menu where the other choices are an Old Fashion, Lemon Drop Martini and a Black Manhattan. All of which I personally am a fan of. Relative to my Margarita, it was very well made with 2 full ounces of Blanco Tequila as the base and quite tasty. Definately a drink with a kick and not a watered down version you get at most other bars in the area. At $8 it's a pretty good deal in my opinion especially for a drink of this quality. Relative to Dinner my wife got the White Fish dinner and I got the Milanese Chicken. Both dishes were excellent where they were cooked to perfection and were delicious. Prices on the menu were a tad high in my opinion but the old adage that you get what you pay for applies here and is definately worth the cost in my opinion. Appetizer was the Calamari which was well made and quite tasty in its own right. Relative to staff and facility, the facility is very classy with a nice contemporary flair to it, Definately an upscale feel to it where both the bar and the dining area offer an elevated dining/drinking experience. Staff was super friendly with great follow up where the bar can be a tad slower as only one bartender was working while I was there but he did a fairly good job of keeping up with the orders and high marks for his efficiency. Overall a great classy restaurant with a nice Happy Hour makes this a destination restaurant worth the trip if you live outside this area. For discerning customers who prize Quality in what they eat and drink this is a business not to be missed!

For some reason, this area is just packed with unique brunch style restaurants and Leeza's is apart of it. Absolutely incredible menu. I love seafood brunch, and this is one of the few places that has shrimp, crab, lobster and salmon available in a variety of dishes. Another item that was unique and incredible was the Potato Pancake Benedict. As someone who is a previous Eggs Benedict addict, but who tries to avoid bread, the Potato Pancake Benedict is one of the best brunch innovations I've seen in the last 3 years. They let you use the modification with any of their Benedict offerings, so I choose to use it on the Crab Cake Benedict. I absolutely loved it. The Crab Cake didn't overdo it on the Cake, and was properly filled with crab (as it should be). The Hollandaise had a great (but not overpowering) flavor and had a nice, thick texture. The dish was an awesome revelation, and I'll be coming back because I don't know anyone else who has it Because I had the Potato Pancakes, I decided to go with the grits as my side and, again, they were unique and high quality. I got the butter and cheese grits and they were incredibly creamy with great, fresh cheese flavor. You also got a great portion, which was much appreciated. The waitress we had was awesome and my coffee was hot, high quality, and filled multiple times. The place has a ton of booths and parking is fine for the most part. This is a spot with so many good menu items that you have to visit multiple times to get the full picture. I'll be updating the review with any other dishes I try.
