Good food and service but who the hell is Biff? Always wonder that when we go. Anyway good soot

It's ok. It doesn't have that home town feel of a diner. Service: subpar but fast. We came in, as a pretty large party and with small rambunctious kids, and didn't know to seat ourselves until we saw others sitting down after us. We had completely missed the sign in the foyer which I think is easy to do when scrambling with little ones and trying to get out of the cold. The waitresses were chatting with each other, not welcoming us in or helping guide us where to go. Upon leaving, there was a lady who was quick to get us out which was much appreciated. The line to get in was starting to back up for the upcoming lunch rush and we had to go. The food was good. Hash-browns are shaven and could use more time on the grill to be crispy and hot. Eggs and sausage were cooked to perfections. Overall, glad it was a quick visit. read more

We recently moved to the area and were heading out for a drive and decided why not give this place a try before we did. We were so glad we did! The Greek salad was great, we added a coney dog, chili fries which actually came out crisp, and even had some breakfast items. Our server was very attentive, and the restaurant was clean and well kept. We will definitely go back. read more

Biff might be my favorite breakfast spots here in Michigan! I'm a huge biscuit and gravy fan and I always come here to get that order. I like their fresh cut breakfast potatoes also. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and it's very clean. The waitstaff is really nice and never seem unhappy to be at work. Their prices are very reasonable as well especially for the area. You can get yourself a nice breakfast for your family at a great place and leave with left over. The portions are huge! read more

We had heard that the place was great. We went in for breakfast and could not even get a menu. We sat there while they looked at us and waited on people that came in after us. Even the lady cleaning tables was wondering why we were not being served. We walked out and will never go back and would never recommend this place to anyone. Ordered their pancakes, eggs and bacon for carry out. Food was prepared timely and food tasted pretty good, particularly the pancakes. Restaurant looked to be busy, which is a good sign on its food and service. read more

We would come in for breakfast regularly and eventually stopped because the service and atmosphere in this place is just depressing . Food is just ok, breakfast is Mediocre . I stopped here for a takeout order on my way to the office. The young ladies at the counter were nice and efficiently taking orders over the phone and cashing out customers at the register. I had the patty melt and French fries. Both were good, and I may stop in again when I need a quick lunch. read more

I have been coming to Biffs over a year now and I love the food! Staff is always friendly, and helpful. My coworkers ask now if I'm stopping to buy lunch because they want in. Favorites are the Greek chicken, buffalo chicken or Michigan salad. Portions are very generous I get two meals out of it and chicken is seasoned well. read more

I met an old friend for breakfast this morning at Biff's. We've gone there before and decided that's where we'd meet. Our waitress was very sweet and delivered our food in a reasonable amount of time. The food and coffee were good too. We'd been there almost two hours, I had my coat on as we were getting ready to leave and a different waitress came to our table and asked if she could take up our bill. I thought that was very nice, gave her a big smile, and said, yes, thank you! She returned because I had handed over all the money I had in my hands. That included some extra change towards our waitresses tip. She looked at me funny and said it was a strange amount and what type of change did I expect back. I just took the extra change I gave her back and asked her to give me change on my twenty. When she returned with the change she said "Oh, btw we'll be needing this table soon." Really? I thought restaurants were struggling. We're two ladies in our late 60's trying to enjoy a morning out catching up. There were four open tables and two booths open when we left. If there's a time limit they need to post a BIG sign as you walk in. We left our waitress a nice tip for her service. Perhaps this other woman was starting her shift and wanted us out of her section. Nonetheless, it made both of us feel unwelcome. I'm pretty sure that's the last thing a restaurant owner wants it's customers to feel! read more

Made my first and likely only visit here today since I don't Live in Michigan. I got two chili and cheese coneys with fries. I can tell you the chili they serve is awesome. Definitely worth your attention. The hotdog itself was ok overall but the thing that kind of ruined it all was that they put nacho cheese on my hotdog instead of regular shredded cheese. I didn't much care for that. The restaurant is clean and has plenty of seating with I believe 4 TVs for viewing pleasure. The waitress was nice and very attentive. I live in the area so this is a coney that we frequent often. I personally love their breakfast, I've never gotten a bad dish from them. Their omelets and hash browns are great and come in HUGE proportions. I never can finish a dish. Usually that's great as it results in leftovers, but I've never been a leftover omelette kind of person. I also like their chicken Greek salad. The chicken is really juicy and it's a great lunch option. Again, it's big so I usually opt for the smaller sizes. Their waffle fries are also super good! They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Prices are good, yummy food, big portions, what else can you ask for? read more

I'm a fan of coney island, I love the simplicity and normally you can get good food. I came in to Biff's on my own at a time where it was pretty dead. The waitress did not come over to my table until I finally went up to the counter to order a drink. I ordered my meal, sat back down and didn't get my drink until after my meal was brought out by someone else! Biffs was more expensive than Leo's coney islands. I ordered a chicken finger pita, the chicken was bland and there was nothing else on it. The fries were undercooked. I actually left a Coney hungry :( I would not recommend anyone to this place. You are better off at Leo's. read more

I'm not really into Coney Dogs, yet I love Coney Islands. Almost all of them have a variation of a fried chicken salad, and Biff certainly does not disappoint. Their 'small' salad is so big, that you think you might have ordered a large. It is also sooo good. They always give me the extra cucumbers that I ask for, and it's always more than I can eat in one sitting. I haven't had any service issues when I've gone inside to eat, and the carry out is where I interact most with the business. read more

We're are frequent flyers here so I'm sad to give a 3 star review. Food tonight was very good as always but our service was so poor. We came in 20 minutes before close and walked out 8 mins after closing- which from being a server in the past myself, is not unreasonable! Especially at a diner with such quick service. She was not happy to serve us even after we asked if she was sure it was okay we stayed with it being so close to closing time. She barely spoke, was standoffish and rude, walked away while we were still mid giving our order, slammed our food on the table, forgot part of our order, and never came back. Thankfully another server there was kind and friendly towards us. Sad to see such poor service from such a nice coney island! Her name was Mandy. read more

Went this afternoon around 330 and they were pretty slow, with only about a handful of other diners (if that). Upon entering, the first thing I noticed wasn't the emptiness, but rather the COMPLETELY overwhelming cigarette smell that filled up the entire restaurant!! It seriously smelled like they were just smoking in the back kitchen and calling it a day. I have no reason to believe that's what was actually going on, but it may as well have been, it was that bad. There was one waitress working, and she was nice. She brought out coffees and took our orders pretty quickly. The coffee was weak sauce, by the way. Outside of that, I have absolutely zero complaints about service. After an average wait time, meals were brought out and coffees were topped off. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap which came with fries. These fries weren't traditional "fries" by any means but rather these thick cut, delicious, crispy yet still soft potato slices and they were fantastic! The meal and experience were good overall, but I have to subtract a star for that awful cigarette smell. There were a few moments when I thought about leaving based on that factor alone. I can only hope this was a one time thing....no one wants to leave lunch smelling like an ashtray. read more

Yum! My coworkers frequent this place and everything I've seen looks delicious. From Omelettes, sandwiches, to salads. Just recently had the reg size gyro salad (a Greek salad with gyro meat) I'm not sure what the dressing was that came with it but it was so good. And FYI lol the regular size salads are a very good size! read more

Never ever coming back. REEKS of cigarettes. Used to come here for breakfast or dinner. But now there is Wild Bill's Smoke Shop next door and the cigarette and cigar smoke actually comes through the walls and makes the place smell like bowling alleys used to in the 70s and 80s. Can't comment on the food -- we came in, sat down, and then got up and walked back out because we were disgusted by the smell. The staff at Biff's is aware of it, and there is not much they can do. But that said, it is just bad. I thought we were past the days of worrying about restaurants smelling of smoke, but this place is the exception. Won't be back. Too bad... they had good food there. read more

If you are a tried and true Michigander then you definitely have a favorite Coney Island restaurant. You will fight to defend that this Coney is "the best", probably frequent it for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and definitely think everyone who has never heard of or been to it is crazy. Which brings me to my favorite Coney; Biff's Coney Island in Commerce. I seriously love this place. Sure I have my list of other Coneys that have my favorite Greek dressing, the best saganaki, greatest selection, etc. but this place has my heart. I've spent hours cozied up in their booths with my best friends gossiping over coffee and omelettes that are the size of our heads, sat down with my family for a quick dinner, and picked up carry out to bring home when I don't want to cook. Whatever the reason I have for eating there, I am never disappointed. Anytime my best friend is in from Chicago, I take her here. She is always shocked at how big the portions are and how cheap the bill is. You can get a delicious and big Greek salad for $6.00, an omelette with hashbrowns and toast for under $7.00, or a Coney special for around $3.00. So basically it is extremely fairly priced and if you are like me, you will leave with a carry out box for later. Biff's Coney Island has the cozy vibe that you want from a Coney. You want to be able to run there in your Sunday best or sweatpants and feel comfortable. The restaurant is lined with booths and has a few larger ones that we always sit at. The center is filled with smaller tables that you can easily move around to create a bigger table for a larger group and there is a bar that is often filled with regulars. You are sure to be greeted by the friendly staff and leave pleased with the taste, cost, and experience. read more

This is my favorite place for a quick bite. Love their chicken greek salads. The chicken is so moist and has flavorful seasonings. The lettuce is crisp, and the regular size is a very large salad. This is a four star Coney Island review. You need to go to Biff's expecting Coney Island quality food, but know you will get great service, hot and tasty food, and large portions for a great price. I have been asking my wife to go here for a long time, as I am a huge fan of coney islands. I walked in and was overjoyed with the smells and dishes I saw as I walked to my table. I had psyched myself up that I was getting something covered in chili or coney sauace no matter what, however once I saw the greek omelette I was done. Who doesn't want an omelette stuffed with gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, and feta? Along with a side of gyro sauce, which is tzaziki. Along with a side of hashbrowns and toast, this was more than enough food for even myself, which I couldn't believe I ate almost all of it. I will definitely be coming back. Oh, and I did get some coney sauce, my wife could not finish the massive coney dog special, I will also be eating that again too. read more

Typical coney island; a friend recommended it stating it was "really good," so of course I'm gonna check it out. Went on a Sunday around 11 am or so, catch that brunch crowd. It was a seat yourself type deal so we jumped on a table, as it was pretty full, so we took that as a sign that it was as predicted. A little more upscale than other coneys, it wasn't anything spectacular, but suitable interms of decor. Torn between lunch and b- fast I opted for the meat lovers skillet type thing, which had hash browns, ham, bacon, sausage, and eggs in a hot skillet. Also ordered a side of pancakes to split with my date. She got the greek skillet, which had eggs and gyro meat in it. It was maybe 15 minutes to get our food which isn't bad considering how busy they were. The skillets were hot for sure, and everything looked fine, if not a bit on the greasy side but hey its a coney breakfast! I added ketchup and franks to mine of course cause I gotta have it. it was just fine; nothing to rave about, generous portion, didn't finish all of it but by the end I was sick of the flavor already. The pancakes were rubbery and cold; hard to cut and weren't worth it. I think we maybe ate one of the three that came on the platter? Pass on 'em. I tried her gyro skillet, just the meat. It was fine, again nothing to rave about. By the end, we were full, not overly joyous by the experience and oh, we got charged $1.99 twice for no clue what. Upon asking our waitress what it was, she had no clue either so it was removed. I don't think I'll rush back but for a quick bite that fulfills its purpose, I might, whenever I feel like slumming it to a coney again, which isn't often. read more
