Food was excellent! The restaurant gave us a table outside on a beautiful Friday night. The food matched the beauty of the evening; we could have sat there all night.

8 of us tried out this cute new place in Farmington Hills. Our waitress was very friendly, but I feel like she was very overwhelmed. We ordered most of the appetizers... would recommend all of them, except the shrimp. The waffles were good, but didn't have any type of cornbread taste. Salad and soups were great... French onion soup was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the main dinners, except the steak frites was dry. We had to ask for zip sauce, because it just needed something. Even with some of the food being a miss, I would have given this place 5 stars, but I had to take off a star because we received our salads/soups and dinners at exactly the same time. It was such a let down... you don't know if you should continue with your app so it doesn't get cold, but then your main meal is cold. You should never bring both out at the same time. To top it all off, there was plenty of room and no one else coming in. Also, they need a few more dessert options. We had to go down the street for dessert, as the two didn't sound appealing. The pictures are of the apps... everything else came out in such a rush, we couldn't get pictures.

Only been open about six months now, but when it comes to appetizing and flavorful meals they hit the ground running! Order a table or sidle up to the bar and chat up the friendly bar staff. The fish and chips is a winner. Huge haddock filets are delicately battered and fried up moist and flaky. Add an extra filet for an up charge. And the fries!--they're shoestring skinny and fried in beef tallow. You can't stop eating them. It's the kind of place that makes you want to try a little of everything on their menu. Go with a group and sample each other's dishes. So glad we stopped in!

Really good food and service! Ambiance is chill and welcoming! The espresso martinis were great and the apps were delicious!

Such a charming brunch spot right in the heart of downtown Farmington! I love the outdoor patio seating just as much as I love the food. My first visit, I went for the spicy chicken sandwich; the second time, the French toast--both were amazing. I will, however, steer clear of the Paloma carafe next time... waaaaaayy too tart! Epresso, yes!

Wedge was great. Pasta Rosa with Shrimp - not an ounce of seasoning on the shrimp. Sauce was great. Would have been really good if something was done with the shrimp

Such a nice warm environment and our food was amazing! They were able to fit us in even with them being busy and our food came out FAST! Not to mention... the cook made a special order for my Uncle who really wanted the schnitzel. We stopped through from Ohio and we will be back for sure. Everything is made fresh and from scratch with love. 10/1

We had a wonderful evening celebrating our anniversary dinner at Spruce + Ash. Aside from sharing it with my favorite person, the highlights were the incredible service, cozy ambiance, and amazing food. Started with a refreshing Berry Smash (N/A) and we shared the Deconstructed Potato Skins that were filling, flavorful, and so unique. While we originally planned on the braised short ribs and lamb chops, we ended up ordering the Fish & Chips and Chicken Tenders. I know, you might wonder: Why order those at an upscale restaurant? Because they were that good! We finished the evening with a decadent slice of Carrot Cake...a special nod to our wedding, where carrot cake was also our choice. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the entire team was welcoming and attentive. The owner was a delight to chat with, clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in every detail. The only thing we could say that moves the pros and cons needle would be the level of noise. If they are busy the conversation noise increases and make it difficult to chat at your table. You are engaged in the table to the back even if you are seated near the front. There is outdoor seating available. If you're hesitant about the pricing, don't be it's worth every penny (Note: They do not accept cash for payment, only credit cards; however, cash can be left as a tip.). Beautifully presented, high-quality food is an experience, and Spruce + Ash delivers on all fronts. We're already planning to come back for brunch and can't wait to see what else they have to offer. If we could go weekly, we would! GOALS: to try everything Lastly, our server Kyla personality was the hidden gem. When you can say you are proud of the dishes they serve and you look forward to showing off new creations...you are an ideal addition to the team

Went here tonight for the first time. Decided to sit outside on the patio since it was such a nice night. Also much quieter than sitting inside. Really liked the drink menu, but the bar selection for other things like amaretto was a bit limited. The short rib was excellent. The fries cooked in beef fat were also top notch. My only complaints were that the server seemed very inexperienced and the steak I ordered was very well done even though I ordered it medium rare. Seems like they're still working out some bugs, but we'll definitely be back.

What a gem! Spruce + Ash is a hip little spot with big flavor. I came for the vibes and stayed for what might be the best fish and chips I've ever had--crispy, flaky, and huge. The fries? Perfection. The cocktails? Balanced and creative (I may or may not have had two). The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place just has this cool, laid-back energy. Can't wait to come back--this one's officially in the rotation.

It had the vibe of a garden party. There was a covered area, but seemed to have an event in it. I think it would be a perfect place for a baby/ bridal shower. Service here is STELLAR! There is a main server, an "assistant" to the server for each table, plus other staff members were very quick to step in and help at any moment. Our table was cleared immediately and wiped clean between courses. We were checked on multiple times throughout- not an annoying amount but perfect. The staff we spoke with were also very personable. We did start with one of every oyster but forgot a picture. They went through each so we would remember which was which from the menu, which was appreciated. They do have a special on oysters - $2 each Tues-thurs during happy hour (I think it is 4-6pm) The smoked sturgeon was phenomenal. I have never eaten sturgeon before and it had so much flavor. Not dry at all and the pickled veggies were a good touch for this. This also included the cornbread which I wanted to try but didn't want a whole side of, so this is a good 2 for 1! The monkey bread is a must order. We saw so many people with it at their table and had FOMO. Worth it. Just order it. My husband ordered one of the steaks on special. It was described as a salsa verde, but realistically it was more of a chimichurri on top. Cooked perfectly. I ordered the fish and chips which came crispy on the outside but the fish was still flaky and soft on the inside. It comes with coleslaw, which was just ok. It also had some crispy potatoes- I do wish this came with a different potato version. The potatoes were cooked really well, but just felt very dense next to a fried fish.

The fettuccini Alfredo starter might have been the best thing because it is so unique. They had a couple private parties happening or about to happen so I feel like they were putting their all into those events rather than the general seating. There was a lot of shuffling around happening which added a feeling of disorganization overall. I think it has a lot of potential but there are kinks to be worked out.

I had no wait on a Friday evening, which I'm sure isn't common, but I was also there about1 hour 30 minute - 2 hours to closing so it could be why. I was still given great service and a wonderful cooked dish. I ordered a mocktail (virgin spring in wing) that had was supposed to have smashed strawberries. I barely tasted the strawberry (I did not have some in the drink) as the soda water overpowered everything thing else. I probably should have said something, but I didn't. If I order next time I will. There were many great things on the menu, but I opted for the bone in pork chop. While I waited I did ask if they had bread service and they have corn bread. First I was like "hmmmm idk". Once it came to the table I loved it. I usually don't butter my corn bread, but I tried their butter with it and I enjoyed the pairing. It was perfectly cooked well enough how pork should be, but still tender so it wasn't dry. It had this whiskey sweet fruity glaze over it which was delicious. I would have preferred it on the side, but that's just a personal preference. The green beans weren't soggy, they had a slight crisp to them. A great flavor. I opted out of the loaded baked potato and just got a plain with butter , sour cream and chives. Overall for what I ordered I didn't think the price to be too unreasonable. However, this place can get pricy with other things on the menu. Their menu might also change because I seen photos of this place and those items weren't on the menu. I would come here again for a dinner alone, with my spouse and even with friends.
