I've been to Dimitri's a couple of times w family members who live in the area, and it is always EXCELLENT service; pandemic times haven't changed this! Met family for breakfast today and everyone was more than satisfied w their meals. I had the western omelette w sausage instead of ham; love how their omelettes are just the perfect size, not huge and overly stuffed. Omelette was cooked perfectly, as were the hash browns--omelettes come w choice of potatoes or tomato slices, and toast. Dimitri's is doing a great job spacing out folks, just using every other table, and every other chair at the counter; they have social distancing waiting stickers outside since they're a small restaurant. Solid breakfast/brunch Coney. This is a diner through and through. Seat yourself, booth seats, paper menus, and a lot of hot grill food. Friendly staff and very chill environment. Club sandwiches, pancakes, and anything with crispy chicken is a goto. read more

The food is good here but they implemented a 3.99% service charge if you pay by credit card. So instead of raising prices a little and spreading out the increased fees for credit cards to everyone they just penalize those who use a card and justify it with a sign by the register. This is why I don't eat here very often. read more

Walking in you are not greeted and supposed to seat yourself. We then had a server and then another one and then another one. It took us 20 mins to get our drinks and another 20 for our food. The food then came out cold. And missing items we ordered. Was reassured that they would be back with them then never got them. Then was charged for them. All in all I would give this place a 0 if I could. Servers had an attitude. Do not go here unless you would like to be treated horribly. read more

I have been to Dimitri's twice in the last couple months. The first time there was a hair in my omelette. The second time I noticed a small print sign next to the cash register which said there will be a 3.99% charge for using a credit card. I remarked to the girl that I wish I had seen the sign before paying with a credit card. She got smart with me saying it was also posted on the door. Extra friendly, cooks will make special orders. This is a classic diner in a small town. Gyros are one their most popular items I am told. Their Hollndaise sauce is amazing on their eggs Benedict. Hash browns are just the right kind of crispy, "no green peppers" is respected, and their sausage gravy is the most flavorful I've had anywhere. Best Breakfast in this USA. Real ham, sliced off the bone. No sir, no ham steaks here! This is the real stuff. The staff is excellent and the service is great. Fantastic pancakes too. Very clean and everything is fresh. Jim, the owner and his staff, are all excellent short order cooks who put it out fast and get it to you hot! You cant find a better breakfast for my money. Lunch is excellent too! Best tasting french fries we've ever had. Crispy and served hot. The chili dogs are very tasty and as I've said before, you will be served a hot tasty meal in record time. Was visiting friends in the area and wanted the very best local fare. Stopped into Demitri's and had an terrific lunch (nothing fancy but just what we were looking for). We started with Saganaki (greek cheese flaming), then feasted on some of the best Gyro's we have ever had along with a Greek Salad (the dressing was homemade and delicious). Dimitri's is nothing fancy by any means but the food is fantastic. If you're looking for breakfast at any time of the day, this is your place to go! Their gyros are also really good but I prefer breakfast when I visit. The restaurant (semi-recently) expanded and has more seating now so large groups are welcome too! read more

Have been coming here recently as we moved to Milford area and it is everything good you would expect from a local Coney Island diner. Service is top notch and the meals I have tried has been great. I never see the same staff anymore, and the owner yells at his employees in front of customers. There have been several times I've seen the manager or managers mistreating the staff.
