I can't say enough good things about their service. About a week ago, we saw a rat in our home and called them first thing the next morning. They responded immediately and sent a technician out the same day, who set up traps--one of which successfully caught the rat. Unfortunately, the rat escaped the following day when they returned to retrieve the trap. However, they came back again at no additional charge, replaced the bait, and provided us with a clear plan moving forward. During that visit, they also discovered a dead rat under our refrigerator (we're not sure how long it had been there). Thanks to their responsiveness and thoroughness, we now have real peace of mind. If i could give a 0 star i would!!! They are horrible! They say that they will service your home every 3 months but that doesn't happen and they will continue to charge you, monthly, even after you've canceled the service and say they have no record of you canceling. Then tell you that in order for them to officially close the account and stop the harassing calls, texts, emails, you have to pay an additional 3 months after your last service. Dont sign up with them they do not honor any part of their contract. Shady business practices, shady company. read more

RECON PEST CONTROL. Daniel did what a True Pest technician would do. He examined/surveyed the backyard (in his street clothes, I had been stung and was concerned) he knew his job. He spotted where the Wasp nest was and went to his truck. Next, he was in his bee suit at the nest which was a small mannequin that had a hole in the back. Treated the nest with "mojo juice", wrapped it in large plastic bag (assured me they would be dead) when I got rid of them and would be Wasp free. HE WAS SPOT ON. Thank you Daniel. The previous Pest Control , sent their Techs out twice, just to spray the area. I wrote a review in Yelp. I paid RECON PEST CONTROL for a one time treatment. How good is that? I called Recon Pest because I had what I thought was a bee hive in the soffit of my roof. Alex took my call. His company was unable to help me because they do not use ladders to access roofs for bee removal. He was so helpful anyway with giving me great advice and some other companies to call! He also helped me identify that they are not bees but actually hornets. What a great representation of this company to help someone out knowing that there was no money to be made. I recently received text messages for a balance due from 2021. Can you imagine? And I was told that my account will be sent to collections. When this additional service was rendered without my authorization. I had only paid and authorized one service, not multiple. I then spoke to their representative 2 years ago and she told me, all is taken care of don't worry about the charge for the last service. It seems like they have a glitch in their system or an administrative issue and they are not trying to tag me with their bills. I will change my review it this issue gets resolved. read more

First off, they were more than happy to abide by my schedule. We went several rounds due to my weird schedule. I thank them for that. The guy kept me informed about the status and worked with me. They showed up on schedule. The guy who came must have been new. He was young. He was truly embarrased that he had to ask me for a flashlight. He was super sweet and extremely polite. Said yes mam, please and thank you. Super impressed by him. I give him 4 stars! My Issues: I was told he would be back in 10 days to check the trap. I thought I was getting two traps for $400 but only got one. I did say I had two entrances. When I asked about it he said I only paid for one. I thought this was rather expensive since the prior company we used caught a whole family of raccoons and used 4 traps for $400. And they left the traps until the critters were caught checking every 4-5 days to make sure the traps were still set and had bait. In fact they left a trap in the far corner of the attic crawl space. And I only know this because the RECON tech mentioned it to me. RECON did not promise to catch the critters in 10 days. But I would think they would check the trap sooner than 10 days or at least check to make sure the bait was still there or replace it. But again they didn't promise any of this. I just assumed due to my last experience. Will I use them again? That is a story for another day as I heard the critter last night rolling something around up there. Recon Pest Control promptly responded to my request for a quote even over a holiday weekend. Jack was very polite and concise in explaining their services and scheduled time for his associate, Alex to come out. Alex was considerate of coming out early (called us and knocked on the door instead of incessantly ringing the doorbell early in the morning). He was knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had. He provided indoor and outdoor services and we have been able to see a reduction in pests (mostly ants). Horrible - don't waste your time. Here was my experience in a nutshell: -Signed up online for an appointment -Someone called to let me know they were actually not open the day I selected. I rescheduled for an afternoon slot a few days later (was clear that we would not be home in the morning that day) -The exterminator showed up 5 hours early the day of appointment because someone else in the area cancelled . We were not home, as we had stated -The exterminator never confirmed he would not be coming back for our original appointment time until I reached out at the end of the time slot -The exterminator then told us he would not be coming, that Recon COULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR OUR PROBLEM ANYWAY (silverfish - which it explicitly says they handle on their website) and said he could come back in a few days. No thanks!!!! In my opinion, that is horrible customer service with no concern for commitments to appointments made. read more

Alex L. performed a one-time treatment around our home today. I apologize that we didn't go to the door since we are social distancing and have a person with a compromised immune system in the home. However, Alex gave me a call to confirm exactly what needed to be targeted around the house and where. He was incredibly polite and professional. The service was a little more expensive than I expected, but I think they have specials if you have an annual plan. When I made the appointment over the phone, I was told I could process the payment through the website when I received the e-mailed invoice. This wasn't accurate though. Someone from the office called me to collect my credit card info before Alex would start the service. It was a little awkward, but not a huge deal. After the service, I did receive an invoice and summary of the service. We will see how effective the treatment was over the coming days and weeks. If it went well, I would consider them for a longer-term agreement. read more

The man they sent well it's a boy maybe 18 to 22 years old. Young working adult I have no problem with as long as they took pride in their work. because I started early myself. He came w/o a mask and shoe cover so when he saw me with a mask & offered him a shoe cover he went to get his own. As soon as he came in he started to get busy with trying to sell me long term contracts so they could come and charge me quarterly. I didn't buy so he went start spraying the base boards and after maybe 2 minutes he was done & was going to leave. I had to tell him to spray on around the house too like other pest control companies usually do. Additionally, when I called the company I specifically told them and him I think the source of the problem is the attic because moist developed after a little leak from the roof but he never sprayed up in the attic. I think if they don't sell you a long term service they do a half a$$ job. The worse of it was they told me they have eco friendly spray but my dog that I never let out of his corner so he doesn't get near the spray started vomiting all night and the next day so monitoring him closely. Beware with all these pest control companies you could spray your own house and actually buy eco friendly chemicals that won't harm your family and pets. I'm just glad my six month old baby is not in the house and moved out ahead of me. read more

Decided to go with this company after reading the reviews to extract mice. They ended up just placing bite traps and we continued seeing mice and they came out several times just moving the traps around. They weren't thorough in their inspection and didn't even check all the traps the services also stated they would seal any small entry points which they told me fill myself. I ended up catching more mice by using glue traps on my own and switched to a different company. read more

First time they came the guys looked around and I wasn't sure if he did anything. I asked if he sprayed upstairs and he said "you want me to?" And again in my basement. I wasn't satisfied however I did give them another chance since I see more ants than before. They came back 3 weeks or so later and this time I wasn't home but my dad had to walk around and ask them to do their job. My dad asked questions and the guy couldn't answers. My dad told me how he felt about it and I wasn't the only one experience it. I will give it another try since I'm hoping it takes awhile to get rid of the ants. One more try and if it doesn't work, I'm done!!! read more

These guys were going door-to-door just about the time I was looking for a pest control company to prevent any problems before they started. I've been using their standard pest control service plus lawn tick treatments for about 3 years. What I like about them the most: * Every time I call, Devin answers, is knowledgeable, and is able to make a decision if needed. * I like supporting small, local companies. * Several of the pest control companies I considered had plans that involved service every 2 months. Recon's plan is every 3 months which results in a lower, annual cost. * Recon does not constantly try to cross sell me on other services the way Scott's Lawn Service does. The only thing I don't like, is when they call to let me know a technician will be in my area for my quarterly service "in the next couple days", they really mean tomorrow. I have a hard time returning phone calls promptly, so if I want them to treat the inside of my house, I have to call them to come back and do it. They are always willing without complaint, but would be nice to communicate in time so they can do everything at once. read more
