Note: This review is an update to my original review for this business. I'd consigned about 40 pieces through Recycle Your Fashions in March 2014. While the business has done well with pricing my items to sell successfully, they have opportunities to improve getting consignment proceeds sent to their customers in a timely fashion. After a month of diligent communication with the owner and a negative report to the Better Business Bureau, I finally received my first check for 25-26 of my sold items and it was what was outlined in their contract. Certainly not worth the effort, and now, 3 months after I went through the hassle and they STILL owe me money! They even had the nerve to ask me to remove my original bad review ... Not a chance. My advice to potential consignment customers would NOT to consign with these people, not unless you enjoy chasing people down to get what's owed to you. Go with a more reputable consignment shop. read more

DO NOT EVER CONSIGN WITH THEM. They will ROB you and never pay you. I had a positive experience about 4 years ago when I first sent them 3-4 boxes of items. They were sold and I received payment. 2 years ago, I made the mistake of sending them thousands of dollars worth of items that I have yet to receive payment for, even though they have all sold and were listed on eBay. They tried to tell me that they changed computer systems, they couldn't find the original items, luckily I had emails for ALL of the items that they sold of mine and was able to back-up that they had been listed and sold. It's been almost an additional year and I have STILL not received any information from them regarding when I will be paid. They owe me probably $1000-$1500. They still have tons of items for sale on their website and on eBay. Very strange. They are disgusting and despicable. DO NOT waste your time. read more

My sister from New York , told me about RYF and how instead of donating he clothes,she sent them over to Recycle Your Fashions. She heard about this from the hallmark channel on one of those specials they did on want to do with unwanted clothing. So I called and talk to a very nice women. She directed me to their website and told me to watch the video on the process and to email them if they have any questions. I boxed up the clothes that I thought would work and used their pre-paid label and mailed it over. Took about a week for them to put up the first item. I have used consignment stores in the past, but you never really knew what your item is really selling for. With this service, I got to see it get launch and when it sol. I would get a email daily emails on this. I found my self checking emails alot more, just to see if anything sold that day. I really had no issues with this service. Only thing that I would suggest, is to get a system that we allow us to log in and see the daily activity on the items. But overall I have to give it a 5 start rating. I will be using them again. WARNING: DO NOT CONSIGN YOUR CLOTHES WITH THIS WEBSITE! Last September of 2012 I sent Recycle Your Fashions a number of designer pieces I no longer wear. It took them TWO MONTHS to list my clothes and that was only after I complained. All of my clothes which were listed sold on their website. It is now June of 2013 (9 months later) and I still have not received the nearly $750 I am owed nor have they returned the clothes they did not list. I have filed a complaint with BBB and sent them numerous e-mails which they have failed to respond to. No one picks up the phone when I call. Their website claims they "will respond in 24 hours or less." False. This website is NOT BBB Accredited and they have had 10 complaints within the past 12 months, most likely from people who have the same issue as I do. Their eBay reviews show a similar pattern of failing to respond to e-mails. Save yourself the trouble and consign with reputable consignors. Do not bother dealing with this FRAUDULENT and DECEITFUL "business". read more

I sent RYF an $1800 Burberry purse after reviewing and signing their contract. They listed it for $209 and sold it for $145. Although, I was not pleased with the selling price, I at least expected 1/2 of that as stated by their contract. I waited 2 months and never received a check. I tried to contact them on numerous occasions but only received a voicemail on which I was not given the opportunity to leave a message. I also attempted correspondence via email, again to no avail. My next step was filing a complaint to the BBB. At that point I received a message from RYF through the BBB and there was a ridiculous story and that a check would be mailed out in a couple days. I was robbed by them ... do not send your clothes there!! They will take the clothes, sell them and never pay you!

If I could give them 0 stars, I absolutely would. My experience is a lot like the other reviewers. THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU WHAT THEY OWE YOU. I have sent NINE emails, left voicemails, and NO ONE will call me back. This is a scam if there ever was one. I consigned about 20 pieces with them, 11 of which have sold in the past 7 months. They never sent me a check, and refuse to acknowledge my attempts to get the $250 that is owed to me. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY with HORRIBLE customer service. This place is a disgrace. read more

Do not do business with this company! If you make the mistake of placing items on consignment with Recycle Your Fahions you can expect the following: 1) you will not be paid for items they sell for you. 2). If you do receive a payment it will be long overdue and for less than your contract states. 3). When you encounter these issues, your emails will not be returned, your calls won't be answered and your voicemails will be ignored. This company is run by thieves, cowards and liars. read more

I am very disappointed with the on line Recycle your fashions website. I placed an order of 5 items on Oct 26th and after several attempts to contact the company finally got an answer back on Nov 10th only after I disputed the charge through paypal. 4 of the 5 items came with no explanation of when the 5th would arrive. I contacted to the compan again only to receive an email back that they couldn't locate it. I've issured another dispute through paypal to get a refund on the item. I would NOT recommend this on line company ever. There are too many other good sites to use that don't treat their customers so badly. I am only giving one star because I can't post the review without at least one star selected. I would not have even selected this one if I didn't have to. read more
