I spontaneously decided to get a helix piercing in solidarity with my friend getting his ears pierced last week. Luckily, Phase 3 had JUST begun. I'm super serious when it comes to my body and ensuring sterile practices for things like tattoos and piercings, so I did all my research beforehand on getting pierced with a needle vs gun, best metals to use, healing processes, etc...Red Baron answered when I called, booked an appt for me the next day with Xavier. All these reviews are right; everyone here is SOOOO friendly and sociable, the vibe is amazing. They make you feel super comfortable and relaxed. I had all the time in the world to pick out my piece; yes the jewelry itself is a bit pricey but I'd read up about the healing process for cartilage piercings so I wasn't settling for anything cheap and chose a little white gold stud piece with titanium bar. When the equipment was sterilized, it was time for the procedure. Xavier took me into the room, instructed me to breathe in/out in intervals, and while I wasn't nervous when the needle entered (I have 5 tats haha, but this was my first piercing since my lobes as a baby), it definitely felt like MORE than a PINCH for me haha but I got through it. I LOVE the finished product though. Now here's hoping I get through the extensive healing process seamlessly enough. But I'd definitely come back if I decide I want more, or consider them if I want another tat! read more

I made an appointment with Grant, after reviewing the design we both agreed that another artist would be better matched for my vision. Can you believe it? An artist that is okay with passing on a job because they understood their style. I love this place. I had my first session with Eric, I was a bit worried that my idea was out of the spectrum but I almost cried happy tears when I saw his design, it was PERFECT! I have two more sessions but I know the final product is going to be epic and last through my crazy life. The email system for booking sessions is extremely responsive. The scheduling is good for post-COVID times. They are reasonably priced-although you should never base your tattoo artist off of price, that is ink on your forever! Had a really pleasant and professional experience here. Came in to get my nose re-pierced after getting a not so great piercing ages ago. The staff was so helpful and informative about what type of jewelry to get (start with stud even though I was thinking hoop) and they walked me through the entire process from start to finish. I did my research before getting a tattoo and I had a friend recommend this place. She loved hers and had something in similar size and shape to what I wanted. I first emailed them just to see what their deal was. They responded right away and very professionally with artists they thought matched the style of what I wanted (I only gave a vague description) which was great! I looked up their styles and went with Joey Perez because he had done something similar in the past. Since it was my first tattoo, I had a consultation. Joey was awesome and let me know his ideas and thoughts for the design and made me feel super comfortable. At the actual appointment, Joey showed up all ready prepared with my design (I had been told by others sometimes it just gets drawn during your appointment) with sizes he thought would work. It was awesome! The whole experience was fun, and I'm IN LOVE with my tattoo! It's on my butt and I never want to put my pants on again. I HIGHLY recommend Red Baron, especially Joey who made my who first Tattoo experience extremely comfortable and awesome. And the healing process has been painless as well! I came here when I was last in New York on a business trip and decided on a whim to get my double ear piercings and cartilage piercing that I had been wanting for over a year. When I called and told them what I wanted, they told me that Liz (the ear piercing specialist) wasn't really available unless I came right then, and luckily I was right around the corner! How perfect and awesome that Liz stayed open to help me. I was a little nervous because I hadn't had any piercings since i was a little kid at Claire's, but Liz and the other workers there made me feel really taken care of. They were super knowledgeable about the process, had a great selection of beautiful earrings, and Liz really took her time in making sure the piercings were perfect. A few months later, I had a problem with my cartilage piercing and DMed them on Instagram. They responded right away with questions and advice on how to better take care of my ear/what solution to be using, and kept following up.
