The food was decent but the service was poor. Took a long time to get the waiters attention to take our order.

What a nice Friday evening. We arrived at 5:30 and the place was already hopping. Crowd was flooding into the parking lot but the beautiful evening made it a pleasant 20 min wait. 3 of us in our party and two ordered the exact same thing. Pow pow shrimp on a bed of cabbage was an excellent started for the two ladies;, not too spicy yet a small kick. All 3 of us had a wonderful side salad with their homemade dressings; I had blue cheese and the ladies had ranch. That made the better part of a meal. I then had the Jambalaya which was excellent! The flavor was perfect. Truthfully, it was far less a cajon meal and much more Italian pasta, but it was extremely enjoyable. Our server was Brandon and he set the evening perfectly! Warm, friendly and full of very positive energy! His recommendation for the Jambalaya which as u said I thoroughly enjoyed. He checked back several times to make sure we were satisfied and happy. He made the night for us I hadn't been to Aspen Creek for a few years, my last couple of experiences was not that great, but tonight will definitely bring me back. We went on Monday night to celebrate a birthday, and we very much enjoyed our visit. We were seated immediately and got drinks very quickly. Our server did an ok job although water could a bit more forthcoming. The food came out perfect, which for steaks was awesome! We really like going to this restaurant. I like their salads and homemade dressings a lot. They have a variety of foods sure to please everyone. I love their chili but know that it's pretty spicy. Lots of variety on the menu, but have had inconsistent food over the years. Today I got the chicken tenders dinner with broccoli and sweet potato casserole. Chicken tenders were overcooked and a little tough, but the broccoli had really good flavor and was cooked perfectly. The sweet potato casserole was good, I just wish they had sweet potato fries! Wow, this place is packed. Our starters are all great with Pow wow shrinp and smoked wings. The wings have great flavor without the sauce needed I got the 16 oz ribeye and it was really well flavored, loved that charred sides while still having it tender in the middle. The grilled chicken breast was also great, really well flavored, and not dry. They have outside, covered seating. A huge area of the floor was very slippery on some parts from outside seating entry area to the restroom. An elderly or someone with physical disability could have gotten hurt as I slipped but was able to catch myself. The place was very busy that this safety concern wasn't addressed at that time other than placing a wet floor sign on one area that can't be seen from another area that's also slippery. This was the only downside on this day so can't give it a 5 star due to safety concerns. Overall, the food experience was great and will definitely come back for them. The wings are okay--I personally prefer them a bit more crispy, as they didn't really feel freshly fried. We met friends, the place was busy, but the ambiance was fine. Service was great. Kudos to Bryan. He handled a group of senior citizens with much care and kindness. We drove all the way from Indy, just to try the Monday steak special....Steak and two sides...... The baked potato and cold slaw were good. The steak....well, you get what you pay for.... It was delivered cold. (5 out of 6 ordered the steak special.). It was not tender and hard to chew. None of us ate much of the steak. The one person that sent their steak back, still could not eat when it was returned. I would not recommend. IF I would go back, I would order the more expensive steak. I ordered the boneless wings with the sweet and spicy sauce. We all loved them at our table. The waiter was phenomenal! He was so attentive, super personal, and just made the experience great. I gave Aspen Creek a try recently as they just opened up. I was here on their second day after their grand opening, and you would never guess. They really had their stuff together and had tons of staff on hand to make sure the guest were well taken care of. I set up at the bar for company as I was traveling alone and was very well taken care of. This place was nearly a sellout as the line was out the door, and this was on a Tuesday evening. They had a steak special which I got in a salad and it was very very good. Very nice environment and I would definitely come back anytime. I'm in town. Give this place a try. read more

I was so excited to try this new restaurant. We got there a few minutes before happy hour ended and our server made sure to take our drink order so we could still do happy hour. Their Wednesday night special was $6 pow wow shrimp appetizer so we started with that. Our server suggested swapping out the cabbage for rice and I'm glad we did. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and it was served on a warm brioche bun. You have to ask for toppings and I forgot, so the server brought them out for me on the side. It cane with a large portion of fries. My husband got the sirloin and ribs. For sides he got the elote and green beans. Both were delicious! Our server was wonderful and patient on this busy Friday evening with us newbies to ACG. 1/2 slab of ribs with onion rings and sautéed mushrooms were on my order. Personally I would not order the onion rings again. Just not crunchy enough like the batter was lacking something. Ribs were great and fell off the bone as advertised. Sautéed mushrooms were pretty good. Happy hour until 6 on weekdays so draft beers were $2 off. I was happy they had Quaff On's Busted Knuckle. Aspen is one of my favorite restaurants. Service is always spot on. Joining the waitlist while driving there cuts down our wait time. During Lent we have been for the last 4 Fridays. I LOVE the fish tacos. The salads are always so fresh. In my years coming here the only item on the menu I didn't care for was the ribs. Everything else is so good. Make sure to get the fish tacos. And they are only available for curbside and carryout. Service is hit or miss. It is a super busy place, usually. Management is decent, though. Except one person! There's a female manager with dark hair who has a very off-putting table side demeanor. Actually, I found her to be dry, kinda rude, and a bit condescending. She isn't a people person and I am glad I don't have to work with her. And because of our interactions, I'm deducting .5 star. They use Uber eats here and for that reason I don't recommend ordering delivery. Just don't! I got my food several hours after ordering - cold and incorrect. That female manager from above handled it very poorly. And it's pretty loud. So, conversation can be difficult. Daily food and drink specials are available. And there's a loyalty program that is super easy and quite lucrative - be sure to check in at the host stand! Don't forget! Always use Yelp to jump on the waitlist before you arrive.
