4 +. Food was excellent! Service was excellent- [[HIGHLIGHT]]the venue is really nice and updated. Beautiful lighting, plants, ambiance and seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Option for inside or outside dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Minus 1 star for lack Of available parking for my 90 year old mother in law. Happy hour is advertised Monday-Friday from 3-5 PM. I called earlier to confirm since it was a holiday, and the hostess called me back after checking with the manager and confirmed happy hour was being offered. I came in excited, specifically to try the small plates. Unfortunately, once seated, there was a last-minute switch--only happy hour drinks were available, along with a very limited midday menu. None of the happy hour food items were being offered, which was a huge disappointment. Since options were limited, we ordered from the midday menu: fish and chips and a hamburger. The fish and chips, including the coleslaw, were extremely bland and desperately needed seasoning. The burger itself was good, but the fries also lacked salt. The bread and butter was just a small baguette cut into four pieces--definitely not worth the price. Because the menu was so limited and the dinner menu wasn't available yet (it was only 4 PM), we couldn't try much else. Overall, there wasn't enough to properly explore or enjoy. The only memorable item was the martini with the caviar bump. I can only rate this visit based on the few items we tried, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations.

Had two fantastic lunch visits here back to back! First day I had the petit sandwich with a salad and today I tried the fried chicken tried sandwich both were so good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely recommend this restaurant for a beautiful dining experience with all the wonderful foods and nice views![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great and quick.

What can I say about Millstone? We've been going here for years and it's always an excellent experience. First time coming here on a weekday for branch and it's such a great experience, the best brussels sprouts as always. (If you don't like Brussel sprouts, this is the place to try it) . Street parking is for the lucky ones, but if you are patient, it's a nice role around the area. They're drinks may it be wine or old-fashioned is also great plus they have the best water as well. I know being a water sommelier it's not something to brag about, but their water is so good Service is always top notch and just a cozy, elegant vibe inside. Will definitely be back to Millstone and take more pictures of the food!!!

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in El Dorado Hills. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the beautiful outdoor seating to the incredible food, there truly isn't a bad thing on the menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They rotate items occasionally, and the new additions we tried were fantastic. The mocktails were amazing--not too sweet--and the cocktails were just as delicious. We loved the oysters with their flavorful vinegar mix, and the fried chicken was incredible, especially with the sauce underneath and the dipping sauce on the side (the cheese adds an extra layer of flavor). I order the Brussels sprouts every time because the bacon pieces are so thick and flavorful. The tall fries with the aïoli on the side are also a must--we ordered two! The pork chop was a new menu item and definitely worth trying. After coming here for the past few years, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal - only 5 stars for Milestone!

Stopped in Fri evening and got seated on their patio right away.It was chilly and hostess brought me a blanket! I had the marry me chicken, husband had the sea bass. Everything was delicious. My only slight complaint was my dish had a lot of sauce without much starch side or anything.Next time I'll order a side of mash potatoes(.I ordered side of bread) Outstanding service

Had dinner at Milestone and wow everything was amazing! We sat in the bar and I've got to say the ambiance was on point. Next time I need to sit at the window seat - beautiful view of outside. I ordered the Marry Me Chicken and it was absolutely delicious so good, and perfectly cooked. Easily one of the best dishes I've had in a while. And the bread and butter? To die for! Warm, soft, and seriously addicting. The whole experience felt elevated yet cozy , our server was on it. Our drinks were never empty! Such a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

    Fried green tomato's (5/5) - favorite for a reason!
    Connie C.

SERVICE: table side, attentive, anticipatory AMBIANCE: clean, refreshing and open. Presentation is precise but also comfortable. FLAVORS: Fried green tomatoes (5/5) - it's a favorite for a reason! Salmon and asparagus (4/5) - perfectly cooked medium, sauce is creamy but very mild. It needed S&P and lemon... something. Asparagus is blanched well also unseasoned but that makes it adjustable! Cheeseburger (3/5) - they said cooked medium but it was cooked well-done...dry. However, the fries are crisp and the burger toppings were beautiful produce, the buns buttered and toasty. Great presentation, great attention to detail, but execution not quite there.. PORTIONS: filling and hearty PRICE: pricey but for the experience and ambiance I'd say worth it for a date or get together BONUS TIP: plenty of parking - private lot and along the front, beautiful waterfront patio

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the vibe here, good for a family gathering or a solo date which I've done many times here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love their bread plate, their short rib, and the salads here. One of my favorite places in El Dorado Hills. They have an excellent wine list and food is delicious. My sister & I got the grilled chicken sandwich & it was amazing. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. Get the Barrata, Basil, & Herb sandwich (trust me on this). I had the Andis Amador Barbera wine & I recommend that as well.

Another excellent dinner on lobster night at Milestone! I had the Lobster Raviolo which was delicious. During this season, Wednesdays are lobster night with a special lobster menu and this one was good. Never had Raviolo before (single ravioli) and it surpassed my expectations. Our appetizer was Tomato Tartare-tomatoes seasoned and served with Brad was delicious! It all comes with fantastic service in a great atmosphere. Did not leave room for desert though..so we will have to come back. Stop in and try it!!!

Great rustic feel inside of the restaurant, but we couldn't turn down dining outside on this beautiful day. Food was amazing! Love dining with friends that don't mind sharing. We shared 4 dishes, and all ordered their specially crafted cocktails Brussels Sprouts Avocado Toast Birria Tacos Donut Holes Our servers were all great and accommodating. Great suggestions to help us make our minds. I'd gladly come back here to enjoy another meal

The flavor was good, but the tomatoes were served quite cold. I think it would have been better if they had at least been room temperature. We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with bucatini. The portion size was large, which was nice considering the dish is $32. The chicken was tender and crispy. It was also my first time trying bucatini, and I enjoyed it. I had no idea hollow noodle pasta existed, so that was a fun surprise. I was only able to eat about half of the dish, but it made for good leftovers the next day for lunch. Overall, the food was fine but nothing especially memorable. When I made the reservation through Resy, I selected that we were celebrating a birthday. There was a handwritten birthday card at the table, which was a nice touch. At the end of the meal, we told our waitress we were too full and didn't want any dessert. Despite that, she still brought out a small tiramisu with a candle. I thought it was a nice gesture and assumed it was complimentary, so I was surprised to see a $10 charge on the bill. I wasn't sure if that's standard at some restaurants when you note a birthday on the reservation, but it was my first time experiencing that. I briefly considered asking about it, but it felt awkward in the moment, so I just paid for it and didn't make an issue of it. Since she had already brought it out for us, I did force myself to eat a few bites. The tiramisu itself was soggy, and I also didn't like that it had chocolate syrup on top, which felt a bit unusual to me since I've never had tiramisu served that way before. Overall, we had a pleasant dinner and service was good, but for the price, the food was just okay.

The poached eggs were done perfectly and I really enjoyed the potatos. We were seated in the interior dining room to the left of the entry and I did not check out the other interior areas of the restaurant, but I loved the Mid Century Modern / Palm Springs vibe. I especially loved the "fly fan" on each table to use because the bar behind where we were sitting was open to the outside. We did not have an issue with flies but the fans are a nice and considerate touch. Jaden provided excellent customer service, checking back as our drinks got low, and checking back on the food, which we all very much enjoyed. Thus cheered, we were seated quickly, even though we arrived without a reservation. Water, bread and menus came quickly. Perusing them to the background mix of contemporary mellow pop (think James Taylor and Van Morrison) and old standards, we decided on the petite prime rib for the carnivore (me) and sea scallops served over risotto for my wife. We each chose flights of wine to accompany our entrees. Despite including three wines per flight, the pours were fairly generous. Our dishes were perfectly prepared and came out more quickly than we expected, considering that the place was almost full. Our server checked back just enough and took care of any special requests promptly, even offering to exchange one of the wines (out of six!) that we didn't like for something better suited to our taste. The pace was leisurely which was fine given the good food and wine accompanied by the relaxed vibe of the live music. I was in last week to give it another chance and think I was given the wrong waffle (tho no one else at my table ordered waffles or pancakes). After feeling sick for several hours after our breakfast, I called the restaurant to inquire about how they differentiate the gluten free items (which is when I learned the above - that they are 'marked' as different and apparently someone in the kitchen says which is which). I was also told on the phone that the protein waffle comes out "darker" than the gluten free ones.... um.... well, if I don't have anything to compare to at the time, how am I to ascertain that, and how was I supposed to know that information anyway?! Anyway, please use caution if you have a gluten sensitivity. They did say there could be cross contamination, that's not a problem for me, it's that if I ate something that was wheat that would not and did not work.
