If you're looking for a restaurant in the EDH area where the locals go, head to Milestone. My husband and I met the proprietors of this wonderful restaurant when it first opened in 2015. The service has never been better and I highly recommend the 60 Day Dry-Aged Grilled CheeseBurger. Alexa and Nick were a beacon in the light during the great shut down of 2020. They kept the portions the same and the love and kindness pouring out of the doors every time my husband or I wasted another mask, I mean risked our lives to come into contact with those we know and appreciate in our lives. I had to slow my visits to focus on health for a few years but on those fleeting evenings where I dared to eat out I always chose Milestone for their home town family atmosphere and delicious food. Servers have come and moved on over the years and it was a pleasure to interact with each one. Last year, Milestone celebrated its 10th anniversary and it was exciting to see several former employees return to celebrate. To anyone reading this. Be kind to your servers, remember these are your friends, neighbors, and the kids of your neighbors. They take care of this community and elevate our taste buds. This restaurant would not have the feelings it does when you walk in the door if the tenured staff were not around all these years to make sure you and your friends are taken care of and served with a smile on their face. It was juicy, flavorful, and gone in a blink! The Cajun scallops (seasonal) were good, served over a nicely spiced Cajun sauce, though the portion leans on the lighter side with three scallops. I came here with my daughters and we had a really nice experience overall. The place does get pretty loud, especially when it's busy, but it wasn't unbearable and we were still able to enjoy our time. The ambiance is so lovely, with countless plants, perfectly dim lighting, cleanly, comfortable dining areas... The portion sizes were great, definitely felt like we got good value for what we ordered. Cody was our server, and he was kind and talkative, even though the restaurant was clearly very busy. The only small thing was that we weren't offered a dessert menu before the check arrived. we were considering getting something sweet, but it wasn't the end of the world. Also want to mention that Jack helped out our table as well. he boxed up our food, brought refills, and checked on us several times, which we really appreciated. If you're in El Dorado Hills and haven't been to Milestone, you're missing one of the best spots in the area. This place just feels right the moment you walk in. Clean, modern, but still comfortable. It works whether you're going for a nice dinner, drinks, or just to sit back and enjoy a good meal without it feeling over the top. The food is where they really separate themselves. It's consistent, well thought out, and you can tell there's real attention behind it. And the fried green tomatoes... those alone are worth coming back for. Perfect texture, great flavor, and something you don't find done this well everywhere. Everything else we've had has been solid too. You can tell they're focused on quality ingredients and putting dishes together the right way, not just rushing things out. Service has always been great. Wilson the manager was fantastic and our bartender Olivia was unbelievable and even did extra prep to make my wife a signature cocktail. The Chef here has to have been here a long time. Never let this Chef go. Everything we had was amazing and we are making this our official lunch place driving to and from Tahoe. Happy hour is advertised Monday-Friday from 3-5 PM. I called earlier to confirm since it was a holiday, and the hostess called me back after checking with the manager and confirmed happy hour was being offered. I came in excited, specifically to try the small plates. Unfortunately, once seated, there was a last-minute switch--only happy hour drinks were available, along with a very limited midday menu. None of the happy hour food items were being offered, which was a huge disappointment. Since options were limited, we ordered from the midday menu: fish and chips and a hamburger. The fish and chips, including the coleslaw, were extremely bland and desperately needed seasoning. The burger itself was good, but the fries also lacked salt. The bread and butter was just a small baguette cut into four pieces--definitely not worth the price. Because the menu was so limited and the dinner menu wasn't available yet (it was only 4 PM), we couldn't try much else. Overall, there wasn't enough to properly explore or enjoy. The only memorable item was the martini with the caviar bump. I can only rate this visit based on the few items we tried, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. read more

What can I say about Millstone? We've been going here for years and it's always an excellent experience. First time coming here on a weekday for branch and it's such a great experience, the best brussels sprouts as always. (If you don't like Brussel sprouts, this is the place to try it) . Street parking is for the lucky ones, but if you are patient, it's a nice role around the area. They're drinks may it be wine or old-fashioned is also great plus they have the best water as well. I know being a water sommelier it's not something to brag about, but their water is so good Service is always top notch and just a cozy, elegant vibe inside. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in El Dorado Hills. From the beautiful outdoor seating to the incredible food, there truly isn't a bad thing on the menu. They rotate items occasionally, and the new additions we tried were fantastic. The mocktails were amazing--not too sweet--and the cocktails were just as delicious. We loved the oysters with their flavorful vinegar mix, and the fried chicken was incredible, especially with the sauce underneath and the dipping sauce on the side (the cheese adds an extra layer of flavor). I order the Brussels sprouts every time because the bacon pieces are so thick and flavorful. The tall fries with the aïoli on the side are also a must--we ordered two! The pork chop was a new menu item and definitely worth trying. After coming here for the past few years, I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal - only 5 stars for Milestone! read more

Had dinner at Milestone and wow everything was amazing! We sat in the bar and I've got to say the ambiance was on point. Next time I need to sit at the window seat - beautiful view of outside. Another excellent dinner on lobster night at Milestone! I had the Lobster Raviolo which was delicious. During this season, Wednesdays are lobster night with a special lobster menu and this one was good. Never had Raviolo before (single ravioli) and it surpassed my expectations. Our appetizer was Tomato Tartare-tomatoes seasoned and served with Brad was delicious! It all comes with fantastic service in a great atmosphere. Did not leave room for desert though..so we will have to come back. Stop in and try it!!! read more

Thanks Milestone for making our Anniversary so special! Five of us came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They treated us to complimentary Champs, which is a nice touch compared to other places giving complimentary dessert. We got seated outside in the beautiful patio overlooking the water and shoppers walking by. Me and my SIL's chose the grilled salmon seafood Louis. It was delicious except they forgot the crunchy chickpeas. Hubs got the fish and chips, my other SIL got the steak with Brussel sprouts. We had fried green tomatoes and brussel sprouts for our starter, it was both tasty. My salad was really light and refreshing. My SIL's had a Prosecco and Greyhound. I had the Aperol Spritz and hubby got the Long Island Ice tea. We were treated to a dozen fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and old fashioned lemon bar. Milestone Restaurant is hands down one of my favorite places to dine in Town Center. Every single meal I've had there has been consistently delicious -- you truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The food is thoughtful, flavorful, and always beautifully done. What really sets Milestone apart is the staff. They're friendly, welcoming, and genuinely fun to dine with, which makes the entire experience feel relaxed and special every time. We have been dining at Milestone for a couple of years and while the food can be hit and miss, you get to learn which items work for you. We love the staff - the Cody's, Corey, Brett and front-of-house - and the ambiance. Last night we found out from the staff that all fried food at Milestone - the Brussels sprouts, the French fries, the crispy chicken, the fish and chips, etc. - is now cooked in beef tallow fat (50% saturated fat) and not vegetable oil. This is not evident across the menus - as it should be under California law. So if you are a vegan, a vegetarian or a non-red meat eater (like my wife) you are inadvertently eating beef when you think you are avoiding it. Perhaps Milestone doesn't think its average "meat and two veg" EDH customer cares at all about this, but this lack of openness has destroyed our trust in the management and ownership. We just feel let down. read more

Sometimes, if you're lucky, a restaurant that you know is really good gives you a perfect night. That was my luck tonight. I was warmly greeted by Mason, who is a true professional. I happily accepted a high-top seat in a quieter corner of the bar area. From that point forward, Mason asked Shawn (my wait person) to take good care of me. Indeed, they both did! Shawn made sure that my beverage of choice came from the bar exactly as I'd requested. It was excellent. Next, came the beautiful Honeycomb Charcuterie board. Wow!! I've had (and created) quite a few boards, myself. This was spectacular. It was beautifully presented with such a creative variety of cheeses, fruit, nuts, spreads and other taste sensations. It would have fed two or three people, but I did my best! Done?? Oh no. Next they brought me an amazing signature dish of theirs: fried green tomatoes topped with their special house -made Green Goddess remoulade. Wow! This was by far the best dish of fried green tomatoes I have ever tasted. Throughout the evening, both Mason and Shawn checked in with me to be sure I was happy and didn't need anything. I've been coming to milestone since they first opened. First few years the food has been really delicious and I've had zero complaints even with long wait times. It was always worth it! I'm sad to write this review because the last few times I've gone there; The food has been horrible. It is not special anymore. The fries are always floating and grease! Everything is just greasy, Nothing is fresh anymore. The salad is always wilted. I don't know if the cook is new, if management has changed hands? But it's unfortunate. The only thing I enjoy now are the drinks! Please go back to making quality food because I miss enjoying the food and that beautiful atmosphere. read more

I left feeling really bummed. I asked our server for a good rum drink but he mentioned the new menu had just come out and he didn't know. I wasn't wanting anything on the menu, I wanted them to just make something on the fly which a great bar is happy to do. I ordered something else off the menu a mule? which wasn't really great it just tasted like singular ginger. Our appetizer and one entree awkwardly showed up at the same time and the guy was like "oh I thought you were doing family style?" "nope". He stood there for a minute and it was awkward. We had an entree on hold since they were running out of it for the night and I suppose they aren't organized in that process. They had to come by to let us know they were using that dish they brought out for another table and there would still be one left for us. I had asked our server between two dishes which to get and he recommend the marry me chicken. It was honestly the most bland thing I've eaten at a restaurant in years- the chicken was also overcooked which I do get. Nobody wants anyone to get sick. The mac and cheese app was very good! We had a fantastic experience here on Sunday morning the 25th of Jan 2026. Sheena was our waitress and could not have had better service. She was a delight to chat with and her recommendations were spot on. The Hostess (we did not get her name) greeted us with a huge smile and a great welcoming attitude. The food was amazing as well. My wife had the Pozole Soup which I tried (ended up trying many spoonful's LOL) and I had the Eggs Benedict. Fantastic, both of them. For my son's birthday, we decided to attend the screening of a movie that has a very limited release. This meant that we had to leave the familiar comfort of Elk Grove and venture out to El Dorado Hills. Purely by chance, we decided to stop at this restaurant and we are soooo glad that we did! Our server Cory could not have been more professional, informative, and attentive. Practically everything we tried was phenomenal, from the craft cocktails to the steak dinners and finally the desserts. In fact, my filet was such sheer perfection that it actually outdid steaks I've had at some of the more well-known chain steakhouses in both downtown Sacramento and the Arden area. It was so flavorful yet buttery, and the bernaise sauce and crab meat were delectable complements. We were so impressed with the entire vibe of this restaurant - including the manager and support staff, the movie theater, and with the general outdoor mall area that we will be making several road trips here again! read more
