We stopped in here on 4th of July around 1pm. There was hardly anyone in the bar which was surprising. We sat at the bar and ordered our food and drinks. Enjoyed soccer and the bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. The two flatbreads were more like personal pizzas. Crust was flavorful and thicker than a flatbread which was fine by us. The Cali was LOADED with toppings. The Figueroa was also fantastic. The highlight was the salad. HIGHLY recommend sharing this unless you're extremely hungry. We didn't think we would eat it all, but we honestly couldn't stop. It was lightly dressed, contained a ton of toppings and was probably half a container for mixed greens which was fantastic! If you're more into heavily dressed salads you probably wanna ask for more. Either way, we had a great lunch at an unassuming place. Held a surprise birthday party at the Backroom, and the entire experience was top notch and we had such an amazing time! I am so unhappy with Gaslight Company. I had made a reservation weeks in advance for the outdoor seating, so that I could watch the 4th of July parade. When we arrived, they said that did not have my reservation and were of no help at all. I had tried to confirm my reservation earlier that day, but they have a policy of not answering their telephone. So frustrating. I will never trust them with a reservation again. read more

A great spot and probably the best place for a craft cocktail in old Folsom. We occasionally forget it's there because it's upstairs, but that does give them the view. Occasional, if not more than that karaoke, and again great craft cocktails, good flatbreads, and a nice outdoor patio overlooking Sutter street. My friend and I came here to see her favorite local group band play live here during the holidays where we met up with much younger friends. She and I have never been here before, but we are both native Folsomites, me being born and raised in this lovely, what used to be small town, since the mid 60's. My favorite part of growing up here was Old Folsom and its charm and stores and restaurants. Once we walked into the building Gaslight Company was housed in, I knew I was in for a taste of nostalgia. Once you walk up the stairs, you enter the beautiful, cozy, long bar area and the seating area is very cozy, with rows of windows that look onto the balcony on the other side of those windows that look over the streets of Sutter Street. A very cool sight up there! The drinks....since I was the DD, I had their house made grapefruit kombucha (but it had a nice alcohol kick!) and it was absolutely DELICIOUS and refreshing and I'd go back just for that!! I wish all bars offered kombucha for those like me who love it!!!!! The food---we split a flatbread and it was super good and was full of toppings, cheese, made with love and concern, and we could barely finish it. The place gets pretty crowded and loud as the night goes on, but what fun, quaint, hip, place like this doesn't ? We really had fun night at this spot that really made me feel like I was at home again---even for this 60 year old woman. read more

When I arrived at the address, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was attending a private company holiday party, but I had never been to this venue. Upstairs we entered a cozy, intimate space, and at first I was alarmed. How would the entire party fit in here? But then we walked through to the other side, outside again for a few steps to another open door. Friends, this was a PARTY space! Two excellent large restrooms; a private bar; several cocktail tables; an amazing charcuterie array; a delicious assortment of flatbreads; and lots and lots of finger foods. And there was still ample room for a designated photo spot with a backdrop AND a large silent auction selection. This in addition to the large Christmas tree already located in one corner. The service was absolutely perfect. There were two dedicated bartenders and one hostess assigned to the party, and they were courteous and quick. No one waited longer than two minutes in line at the most, and many did not wait at all. There were about 80 people in attendance, which was absolutely perfect for the space, which also featured good lighting and elegant chandeliers. Alas, there are no pictures because what happens at the work party, stays at the work party! But it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants to host a party. We will definitely be back simply to enjoy the ambiance and explore more of their delicious menu. read more

I had my bridal shower at Gaslight in the venue space and I cannot praise the staff and the venue enough. Kristen was so communicative, thought of everything, and made hosting the event such a delight. It was also far less expensive for a far nicer space than any other venue I researched! The rental fee included the tables, linens, set up and a bartended bar (food and drinks were an additional costs of course). The food was great the drinks were awesome and they even created a custom themed cocktail for me! I cannot recommend this spot enough for any special occasion! This is the cutest restaurant located upstairs with an indoor seating area and great balcony patio. The food has the freshest ingredients and were so well prepared. The Dead of the Dead had good presentation, but was me stoned to taste sweet like perfume. I tried it as well and it just had a lingering taste (I'm thinking the Rosemary and Lavender syrup). That we werweren't a fan of, so that was the only drink not finished. The Hummus was really good and shared, I just wish it was served wither with more Naan bread. And or served with a forked, because it's impossible to eat all of Hummus, tomatoes, and olive combination with the amount of bread given. It's always a bummer when so much of that is left overover.l, and you eother have to use just your hands or leave it to waste. Overall: The social environment was lively with the patrons and the live music. The bartenders were friendly and it didn't take long to order and get drinks and food. I ordered the Gas Light Cubano that was a roasted tenderloin pork with Dijon mustard, with pickles, Swiss cheese, chipotle aioli presses on a French roll. So good... My husband got the Hot pastrami and Swiss sandwich with Lettuce, tomato, with Dijon mustard and pepperoncini on the side... he said it was delicious and we have to put a shout out for their coleslaw it was fresh, crunchy and outstanding with flavor. We ordered a 804 beer and Corona, they were out of knee Deep but had plenty to choose from. They are located upstairs and have outdoor seating and live music. Went for some drinks in Folsom area and Gaslight looked pretty promising from the photos. It is located in the middle of a popular strip that was closed off due to a Vintage Volkswagen car show. The location was great, you do have to walk up some stairs to it but once you arrive you have your choice of seating inside or outside overlooking the popular strip. Outdoor seating on the balcony was taken so we decided to sit indoors. They have menus at the bar so we took 2 and took our seats. Drink menu was pretty good and had really good variety but not too much that it looked confusing. Ordered at the bar and the bartender was nice enough to take it to our seats. Drinks were really good and were pretty strong. Only concern I had was that there were no signs enforcing masks nor were the employees wearing masks. Looking for a venue to rent? LOOK NO FURTHER. Gaslight is nothing short of incredible. We threw a 60th birthday party here and when we first reached out about renting, we were directed to Casey. Every single step of the way, Casey was attentive, organized, knowledgeable, hard working and creative. We booked the private room and sent out our invites. The room holds about 50-60 people, and with that in mind we sent 100 invites to the party, and their plus ones (figuring that many friends, family and affiliates may not be able to make it). Turns out about a week before the party we had 90 RSVP "yes" and we had to do something. Casey reached out to the WONDERFUL owner and asked about renting the entire restaurant in addition to the private party room. They made it happen and everyone was BEYOND happy. We are still receiving calls, texts, and emails 3 days later about what an amazing party it was (sorry Casey I am getting the credit for your amazing work but here is where I pass it to you ;) ) and that the food, drinks, and venue were top notch!! We could not have dreamed of a better place to host this celebration! Deciding the menu was difficult for me personally, as we wanted finger foods rather than a sit down and eat type of deal. I told Casey what we would like to be served (most of what we wanted was NOT on the menu) and she quickly thought of some wonderful ideas and served specialty items such as Asian meatballs, citrus salmon, and my personal favorite- blackened shrimp. Above and beyond mentions: They helped set up our photo booth, and Casey let me know anything that she noticed may be an issue as in directing the guests to a certain area upon entrance, mentioning the coat check which by the way they went the extra mile and rented two beautiful coat racks for our guests to hang their coat while they enjoy the evening!! Came here a few times with a friend and some of their coworkers. The location is really nice being in downtown Folsom (much better and cozier feel compared to downtown Sacramento, and there's free garage parking out here). Their drink menu is very interesting and the cocktails I've ordered were tasty and refreshing. I haven't tried their food but it looked good from what I've seen other customers ordering. My only gripe is when it gets busy it's very difficult to try and order a drink. I've stood around for several minutes trying to get a bartender's attention until someone finally acknowledged me and took my order. Not blaming the bartenders on staff though since they're pretty nice and just trying to keep up with the crowd. Would be nice if they had more than just 2 people back there. read more

As a longtime Folsomite, this is hands down the best drinks in town. Cocktail menu is always creative and rotating. Staff is 150% awesome, and so is the atmosphere...until the patrons ruin it. My husband and I come here as a fun and casual date a couple of times a month, after all, we do live here. Our experience gets ruined when we have a table on the patio and groups of women constantly interrupt us asking us if we are about to leave. Would be nice if there was some signage up asking not to disturb other patrons' date time trying to hawk up a table. No, we aren't done with our drinks. Yes, we may want another. When are we leaving? None of your business. How would you feel if someone intruded on your date in the middle of a nice conversation??? This place is killer. I live in SF and find myself around Folsom about once a month for gigs with my band. This has become a go-to for my wife and I the next day before we head home. All of the flatbreads are killer, especially the pepperoni and the shrimp/bacon/pineapple! Great salads and wraps as well-everything is super fresh. The staff are very cool and welcoming, and the drinks are great. Sports on the TVs, and good live acoustic music. There are lots of good dining options in the area.
