In general, I think crepe places over rely on things like Nutella and whipped cream, so i appreciated the actual thought and complexity of flavors that went into the crepes. I took my cousin and my uncle here since they were out of state and needed some lunch on the side of some errands/sports. I gave them a list, my cousin said, "let's go," and we ended up here. Absolutely spectacular. The service was very nice, and you can even see how your food is made. It's an open kitchen with a coffee corner, and a place that makes homemade granola with a space that a lot of people are looking to sit down at. It's one thing for there to be no seats, but the Crêpe Bar had no seats because it was busy and because they do not disappoint with what they serve. If you want to pre plan what you want to get, no fret. They have an online menu. My cousin got the Second Time with Pork Belly on the side, my uncle got the Burrito Adobo Crêpe, and I got the Papa K with scrambled eggs. For the next 10 minutes, we ate and had only good comments about it. It also opened my eyes on what crepes could be, not exclusively sweet, but also savory and delicious. It is affordable. On average, you're spending $13-$15 per person, and if you want more, they got sides too. Though please note that I haven't tried their coffee. I saw a couple customers with cold brews or caramel macchiatos chilling while doing work, but please don't skip out. This is a breakfast and lunch place, so if you're in the area, you need to try it. It is fantastic for a reason and could arguably expand with how many people they serve. The staff was very helpful and gave the kids some granola after we ordered and sat down. Order at the counter when you're ready and they will give you a number to place on your table. They have high chairs for the little ones but no changing table in the men's bathroom. An unfortunate trend I continue to find across many places we visit. We've been a fan of Crepe Bar and have been going here for years. If you're looking for a quieter experience, definitely go on one of the weekdays. It has been a while since we've gone on the weekend, but it used to get pretty busy during their peak hours. You order at the front and they bring out the food to you. We've tried and enjoyed a variety of crepes. My favorites from the current menu are the roasted chicken & the vanilla bean custard. However, the maple butter is really good too; more on the simple side but I think it highlights the crepe the best! They used to have a farm veggie crepe but it's unfortunately no longer on the menu .. hoping that will come back in the future. Overall, one of our go-to's for brunch. I don't think I've had pork belly this well-cooked in a while! I love this place. I drove 30 minutes, I was so excited and happy I could make it in before closing. I made it about 45 minutes before closing NOT knowing that meant the quality and consistency of the crepes were going to be sub par. They are usually delicate, lite and delicious. Mine this time were the opposite. It made me wonder if maybe they were using leftover crepes used for their burritos?? Maybe they already cleaned and didn't want to make more?? Came here for brunch a few weekends ago - Crepe Bar has a fun, casual eclectic vibe and has that gem of an environment that makes it feel both interesting and down-to-earth. We ordered at the counter and the person at the register was friendly and professional. All good things. But then the food arrived, and what felt like it was going to be a staple place for us unfortunately stopped looking that way. I ordered the Papa K, my partner ordered the Vanilla Bean Custard, and we shared the fried brava potatoes. The filling wasn't particularly well-distributed, and the ratio of cheese to everything else was very high. There was also a strange little pile of salt and pepper under the crepe (or maybe I moved the crepe without noticing) and so a quarter of the crepe felt like it was dipped in salt. The potatoes also were unexpectedly and disappointingly soft, but the sauce was pretty good. However, there was still some success! The vanilla bean custard crepe wasn't quite as expected, and instead of being the usual stuffed/topped crepe, there was nothing "in" the crepe. I actually really liked this, because it allowed me to make myself a "perfect bite" with the ratios that I wanted, which is rarely possible with a sweet crepe. The granola (on the house!) was also quite good, though a bit sweet. Overall, I am a savory crepe gal, and I would not come back for the savory crepes. We did however have an incredibly long wait of an hour before we got our order and unfortunately it was short one entree so we then waited another 45 minutes before the 2nd one came out (again it was a holiday). After trying out a few breakfast places in the area, we finally found the one. We've been going to Crepe Bar so often for brunch now. You go up to the register to order and grab a number for your table. There's all kinds of seating including outdoors. Staff has always been cheery and friendly :) Besides the basic tea and coffee options, they also have some unique flavors! My partner and in particular really like the pecan praline black tea and the hibiscus black tea. The pecan praline tea is so unique. It tastes just like liquid pralines. The hibiscus tea is very strong. It has a very forward sour taste, so I would recommend mixing with sugar and/or milk. Sometimes you're given a small ramekin of their homemade granola as a snack while waiting for your food. It is sweet, nutty, and comforting. My partner's and my absolute favorite crepe here is the sweet Vanilla Bean Custard one. It comes with a flavored homemade whipped cream and the flavors all work together beautifully. You can taste the butter the crepes are cooked in too. We have also tried their Maple Butter crepe, but still prefer the Vanilla Bean Custard. Of the savory options, I have tried the Papa K and Jamaican Jerk. I preferred the Papa K more. that crispy cheese lace is incredible and the crepe itself is absolutely huge. I had to take home leftovers with the Papa K, but was able to finish the Jamaican Jerk in one sitting. I have gotten the crispy pork belly once to try as a side and while it was cooked very well, you only get 2 small cubes of pork belly. Deliciously pricy. Went for brunch with some friends and this meal here was around $30. The crepe itself was delicious but the small portion is not worth for me. The Ricotta toast was incredibly bland almost like cottage cheese. The coffee was also sour, which might have been the cane sugar. Once I stopped using that it tasted ok. The atmosphere was great, nice relaxing place to hang out for a bit, and the servers were friendly and prompt. Today was horrible and unprofessional service at Crêpe Bar. I went in with my son that just got home from surgery and we wanted food from a place that we have considered one of our favorite places to eat. We ordered food to go since it was still hard for my son to be out and about. Firstly, the Crêpe that I ordered that comes with a caramelized banana was ridiculously cold and the bananas were almost frozen. Mind you that we live less than 5 minutes away. Secondly, the most unprofessional thing happened. I ordered scrambled eggs for my son. Before they were bagged up, someone from the kitchen walks up to the person up front and opens the container right in front of me and scoops out eggs from the container and takes what was scooped out back to the kitchen. The front person then bags up the container. I was clearly able to hear the kitchen staff talking right in front of me that there was too many eggs for that order and another kitchen staff member say that no there was not and that they should have just left it in there. When getting home, I was able to see that the amount of eggs was less than two scrambled eggs. The unprofessionalism and the quality of food and service was ridiculous. I went there before 9am on a Thursday morning & was disappointed they were out of ham. I had wanted a Papa K but switched to a Fontina Cheese & Roasted mushrooms with addition of eggs. The food took a little while as the crepes were made fresh & they had only 1 cook. The complimentary house-made granola they served me when they brought over my drink was a nice surprise & helped eased my hunger while I waited for my crepe. I make my own crepes, and felt that the crepe itself was a little thick. Plus, the way the crepe was folded made it a little too bready for me. I like my stuffed crepes rolled. I really enjoyed the green salad. They also suggested & provided a drink refill in a To-go cup of my iced Pomegranate green tea, which more restaurants should do. Overall, nice place. My bf and I first learned about Chef Jeff Kraus in a show that we watched, Vegas Chef Prizefight. He talked about his crepe restaurant in Tempe so I knew we had to try it! Crepe Bar is really cute and artsy, there are art pieces hanging along the walls. It's also somewhat quirky so I definitely see his personality. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by a friendly staff member. She handed us menus and said that we can get seated anywhere we liked. There were so many enticing things on the menu but ordered a few to share: - Burrito Adobo Crepe: At first, I thought this was going to be a cliche southwestern type crepe. Boy was I wrong. It was so good and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The crepe was so soft and light. The pork chorizo with the pepper cheesy eggs were spot on. I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. - Grand Prix: This was so unique. A coffee crepe with pork belly topped with a perfectly cooked sunny side up. The pork belly was tender but I wish it was more moist. This was good but we both agreed that the Burrito Adobe Crepe takes the win. - First Time: We HAD to try a dessert crepe. The brûlée banana and banana chips were wow. Definitely adds texture to the soft crepe which was filled with nutella. I must say, this is probably the best crepe restaurant I've ever been to.
