If I need to point something out was the of menu dishes , when the server was explain them to us I honestly didn't understand most of them, to many of menu dishes and not explain it very well, i couldn't understand most of them and i thought it because I'm Italian and i lack of some English but my American husband didn't really understand them either. We weren't ready! I think he was disappointed that we were not going to build a big bar tab. Only 2 of us ordered from the bar list. Now to the food. We've eaten at this place many many times over the years. And returned because the food and service were excellent. However this time, our food was far from what we expected, and the waiter seemed like he wished he were anywhere else but there! The appetizer ordered was so haphazardly put on the plate, and was also not tasty. My husband's salmon was thin and dry. I don't think this place has seen any updating since it opened. Currently, it feels dank and dirty with no signs of welcoming any changes. It's always sad to see the neglect of management/investors in not protecting their stock in trade- their reputation and respect for their customers.

I saw a few of my foodie favs talking a out Di Maggio's on IG and it just so happened to be our anniversary week so I snagged a reservation. I did book a table at the patio and there are intense misters on. I did not know this, oops. But our server was so nice and accomodating and they were able to move us to a table inside. We got a nice little booth and were both amazed at the service we received. Vince is super knowledgeable about the restaurant, the history, the chef and dishes. Choices were hard to make but we landed on the arancini, the Don meatball, chicken parm and chicken alla michele. For our anniversary, we got a couple of drinky drink surprises which was so thoughtful. Don't skip dessert here - order the cheesecake! Apparently it is made by the chef's wife and was so delicious. I have taken my boyfriend to Banhams on a couple occasions and he much preferred the Di Maggio's cheesecake.
