I had a great experience with Oking. I'd lost a significant amount of weight (Yea!) and I had several suits and sport coats which needed to be altered. Basically, he had to re-cut them because I had dropped so many coat sizes and he re-cut the pants to a slimmer, more fashionable drape. He could not have been nicer, got the work done much quicker than I expected and the cost was extremely reasonable, given the amount of work he did. I cannot say enough good things about Oking! He absolutely worked a MIRACLE on a couple of shirts we brought to him. We had previously taken the shirts to a different tailor to have them fitted for my husband. Brand new, tags still on brand name shirts. The other tailor completely butchered the shirts so they were unwearable, and Oking took them and made beautifully tailored shirts! We will be back to have him make a custom shirt at some point, we just don't have a need for that right now. I will say, you get what you pay for. These guys are Legit! I moved to DFW from NYC during the pandemic, and now that my company is return to office, I needed a good suit alteration place. I bought 2 off the rack suits from a generic store, and brought it to these guys to alter. Brought it in on Saturday afternoon and it was ready by Tuesday. Oking knows what he's doing for sure, my alterations included hemming and tapering of pants, taking the suit jacket in on the sides, and he also made the sleeves a slimmer fit. A+. I recently purchased two "fun" polos for an upcoming trip at Golf Galaxy. However, I didn't like the loose "golf fit." With that said, I did like the fabric pattern and athletic wicking material. I was not taking any chances with these polos since they are for a long overdue vacation my father and I are taking to the Bahamas. The last two alteration shops I have used were worthless. I'm not sure a couple of my shirts had been worked on by one tailor. And, another one had royally botched a different polo beyond repair. Oking is a gentleman. Oking is fantastic! I purchased a new tuxedo from Hugo Boss and needed someone that really knew what they were doing to take care of some minor alterations. Because I don't buy new tuxedos very often and it was a significant purchase, I didn't want to take the tux to just anyone. I found Oking here on Yelp and was really impressed by not just the reviews, but the fact that he responded to almost every review. He got me in quickly and took care of my tux with the best of care and was very reasonable on the price. I received a leather jacket from my late father and was getting quotes from many different places to see who could keep the jacket as original as possible. After meeting with them I was beyond confident that it would be repaired while keeping the originality of the jacket. In the end he was able to replace the lining while sewing in pieces that every other place was going to throw away. Before, it looked like the lining was torn by a mountain lion attack yet they were able to salvage it and make it look brand new. For reference, the jacket is roughly two decades old and was worn 8 months out of the year. Overall, the job was done beautifully for a competitive price and he was incredibly patient with my requests and adjustments as we worked through the process. The only difference between the old jacket ripped to shreds and the new jacket is the watermark on the lining which is proprietary to the company. However, he did tell me if I was able to find it he would put it in for me. Please go to see him, you will no regret it a single bit. I also go a suit and shirt altered there and the results were superb. This will forever be my tailor because of his attention to detail. Nobody in Dallas does it better than Oking! He is the king of tailors and truly an amazing person. read more

So, the story goes.. I'm a middle aged man going through a midlife crisis and realizing I've completely lost my mojo. So after weeks of searching online and downloading every clothing shopping app I can find, I'm realizing I'm in more trouble than I realize. I just can't seem to find myself. I'm tired of ball caps, I'm done with those. Well, this is how I found Best Dressed Man. I thought, hmmm that's cool. I'll save it for later. Then, I get my pants I ordered and they are way too long. So, I remember seeing them and called to get in for some hemming. They were really nice and invited me down right away. I have to tell you, when I showed up, I knew right away this is the place I needed to break the monotony! They were really welcoming and brought me in right away. Now, I have to say, I have severe social anxiety, so a small boutique like this should have been way to much for me, but it wasn't. Javier was cool and very relaxed, which helped me relax. He helped me try out different things. And as he and I scuffled our way around.. Boom! I found a shirt, then another shirt and then a pair of pants and then there was the hat I needed, in all it's glory, sitting on the table. Until that moment I was completely lost. I really had no idea what my new style was going to be. But I must say, I walked out feeling great and ready to get my mojo back! I admit, I was skeptical of the 5-star rating before I came to Best Dressed Man. Skeptical no more, Oking and his team provided exceptional top-notch service. I was in a pinch to get tuxedo pants hemmed for an event I had the next day and Oking took me in and said he could get it to me the next day. And he did!!! The work was done on time as promised and exceptionally done. On top of that, Oking was a real pleasure to work with. By the way, he also has some pretty cool clothes on the premises (suits, coats, shoes) but also makes custom suits. I would definitely come back. Best dress is ran by a true artisan, ok'ing and his son were both incredibly tentative. They made me feel comfortable and confident. When helping me pick out a suit for my event. Ok'ing went over styling advice as well as how the suit should properly fit. I got a suit off the rack, yet Ok'ing and his team where able to tailor it to my fit perfectly. And within DAYS! However, they also allow the options of fully building a custom suit. Where you decide from, fabric, buttons, and cuts etc. one thing I really enjoyed, unlike most tailors who try and convince you of things. I was to be a groomsmen in a wedding and the suit that was mailed to me (moved to a different state) was dang near 8 sizes too big, I mean BIG!
