I have gone here at least 5 times for a pedicure. This time it was awful! The foot massage was limp, the girl left polish on my skin on a few of my toes. I mentioned this to the owner and she tool the polish off. I paid cash for my percentage off, and she hands me the change of a ten, which was the correct change, but looked confused when I asked her to break the 10...did she actually think the women was going to get a $10 tip for a job well below the norm? read more

Didn't actually get a manicure here but had a weird experience via the phone. I called inquiring about the dip manicure. Asked how many colors they offer. Was told about 20. I was shocked there were so few colors after reading the reviews about people getting this done often, I assumed they would have more colors. When i told her my current salon has a lot more than that she upped it and said maybe they had 50 colors. Just weird and kind of turned me off. Been here a handful of times and it was always just alright, but yesterday I actually had to walk out mid-manicure and go somewhere else to finish my nails. AVOID THIS PLACE! It was beyond embarrassing! I had to ask multiple times if there was anyone else available to work on my nails, and I had no problem waiting if so. Nope, apparently this woman is the only one who can apply tips and, as you can see in this photo, the tip is in no way aligned with my nail. She also tried to put some type of acrylic on my nail two separate times after I told her that's not what I wanted on my nails. There's no need for acrylic when you're getting an SNS mani and it felt like I was telling them how to do their job! The woman who seemed to be running the show was pretty dismissive too. I had many wonderful experiences for both a manicure and pedicure when SANDY was there. She left because she had to help her husband with a new business venture. After that everything went downhill.....staff looks bored with what they are doing and constantly speaking Spanish to each other. They never even try to engage with conversation with the client. I've been coming here for two years and sadly, I think last night was my last time. The positives: very clean, friendly staff, affordable prices, plenty of parking, great pedicures. Negatives: messy manicures; some of the staff (especially Sonia!) rush because they're trying to get through so many people. Yesterday, I got SNS/dip powder and the top coat messed my nails up (I think it was an old polish) so the owner had to redo them. I sat in the chair for 2 hours just for SNS and I was over it. My last appointment for a mani/pedi was mixed. Girl who did my pedicure did a wonderful job. But she didn't speak English. Someone near by had to translate. Made me a little uncomfortable. Someone different did my manicure and she was chatting with the operator next to her the whole time (not in English which seems very rude to the customers). I would say she did an average manicure. I live right by this salon and finally decided to give it a try. The ambience was one of my favorites of any nail salon I've ever been to - well decorated and incredibly clean from the facility itself to their procedural standards. They open tools right in front of you and use plastic covers on all the foot baths that get changed with each client, etc. More than fair pricing for a basic mani/pedi and excellent customer service. Looking to try somewhere new for a pedicure, I gave this place a call on a rainy Monday evening. I was able to make an appointment over the phone for around the time that I had requested so it sounded good to me. First impression was that it was neat and clean and the woman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. I also liked that the waiting area was completely separate from the nail and spa room. The spa area itself was very bright, peaceful and clean. New TVs were on the wall with the food network on very low if you chose to look up from your phone :) For a basic $25 pedicure I was very satisfied. Nice foot and leg massage followed by a hot wax heel treatment. I would recommend Red Cat and would like to return soon. read more

I went here recently because it's extremely close to my apartment and I definitely found my go-to place. I haven't ever been so exclusively pleased with one place before so I'm always bouncing around. I found the nail technicians to be experienced, professional, and not rushing you out to make room for more clients. Today, I went in for a gel French pedicure and a UV gel permanent French manicure for my wedding! Everyone there was so nice, congratulating me, and Sandy made absolute certain that my nails were perfect. She said she had to make them flawless for my wedding. I've been a loyal customer for some time now, so I figured I should get a review out there. I was looking for a new nail salon in the Morristown area and decided to stop by Red Cat due to the good rating on Yelp. Little did I know that I would be finding my favorite place!! Every 3 weeks I get a powder gel by Alicia, and let me tell you it is always incredible. She takes her time and ensure that every nail is perfect. She's explained step by step what she's doing and how much powder gel is better than regular for my nails. My manicure stays SPARKLING week after week. They never crack or break and stay so shiny. I've never been happier with my nails. The staff is extremely friendly and the entire salon is warm and relaxing. They offer warm neck wraps while you get your nails done as well which is a nice touch. You cannot go wrong with the pedicures either! It was unbearably obvious she was in a rush even though I had gotten there 1.5 hours before closing which is plenty of time for a manicure. The only negative about my visit was I that I was asked to pay for my services BEFORE my nails were finished! I did with no issue thinking that was protocol, but as I finished up I noticed that all other guests paid and the very end, when all services were complete!!! I have only been to this nail salon once and I will not be going back.I chose to go here because it was very close to my job and I couldn't make it to my normal nail place before they closed during the week and I really needed a fill. Don't get me wrong, the heat pad, shoulder massage and hot wax treatment on my hands during my appointment were great, but the nails themselves, suck. Its been about 3 weeks since I was there and my nails look awful. I have never had nails crack before like this. I called to complain and they said I would need a new set at full price. I struggled with the right # of stars for Red Cat. In terms of cleanliness, ambience and color selection, it's a 4/5, but my experience with my manicurist was terrible. The woman at the front desk was incredibly sweet and helpful and all the other manicurists seemed great, so this is truly just based on my one experience with my one manicurist. I chose a light Vinylux polish and immediately, my manicurist seemed annoyed or impatient. She barely manicured my nails, only filed and lightly cut my cuticles. There is a shared sink between two of the manicurists and she proceeded to pull/drag my hands in while she washed it, again, seemingly annoyed that I couldn't reach all the way over, being 8 months pregnant. The nail color went on very streaky, and I was prepared not to say anything because at that point, I wanted to leave. She then tells me that the color I chose wasn't good and that it would not look nice. She then pushed 2 dark colors that I didn't like, and finally, she seemed impatient enough to let me choose my own new color. While she put on the new color, she get sighing and huffing and puffing. I wish I knew her name because then I'd just warn that people stay away from her, since others seemed very friendly. read more

Sadly my prior manacurist who has been doing my nails for years left the salon I had been going to. So I have been on the hunt to find a new place. After trying a few different places and have been pretty disappointed. I was glad to find Red Cat through Yelp and give it a try. The prices are comparable for the area, the salon is super clean and service was great. They specially sanitize the pedicure nail tools using a special German machine and sealed packets. Although I wish they sanitized the manicure set the same way rather then the tradition light sanitizer machines. Also, they have a huge selection of Essie and OPI nail polish to choose from. It was my first visit and I only got a regular manicure/pedicure yet there was thankfully no up selling to gels oe something else more expensive. I know what I like. They even gave me a holiday present on my first visit (special pedicure socks which are great for when you are leaving the salon in flip flops mid winter). I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more
