" A trip from Hell" I was held hostage on a bus going a different route then I purchased traveling From Tallahassee across the panhandle of Florida to Jacksonville and then down south to their Orlando stop without my consent, but the worst part was the bus had no A/C. I had to sit on this bus for 6 hours without A/C. The driver told me I had to change buses in Orlando but when I got to Orlando I was told there was no stop in Pompano Beach as my ticket indicated. After 2 days trying to forget my ordeal I called to get a refund. I was told I would have my money back in my account within 2 business days. That was about 2 weeks ago. Every time I call someone puts me on hold and tells me something new. I was told twice that the supervisor Camille is to busy to come to the phone. They gave me the number of the corporate office 407-851-2843 this number doesn't work. Bad.... Bad..... **warning, do not park here for airport parking unless you plan to wait 2 hours to get to airport and same for pick up** I was told the shuttle would leave in to minutes when I arrived. 15 minutes later, I was told "10 minutes." Ten minutes later as I was beginning to be very concerned about catching my flight it was "5-10 minutes." I then had to rush to the airport and use their parking and barely caught my flight. This has to be one of the most frustrating companies to deal with. I don't know who their phone provider is but 4 out 5 times I have to hang up and call again because the connection is so bad that it is impossible to understand the red coach 'representative'. Four times out of five my son's bus was supposed to be first class and it was business class which is a huge difference with a bad back. Another time the bus broke down before reaching the destination; fortunately somebody was there to pick my son up. When I finally get somebody on the phone I am always told that I need to send an e-mail and I will hear back between 2 to 5 business days .... I have never heard back. Sometimes I am given a claim number on the phone .... nothing ... we are done with this service. It's overpriced and run poorly. read more

I went in for the first time a little suspicious due to all the reviews, but when I arrived at the station the front desk ladies were super sweet and helpful! My bus ended up arriving early so we boarded and waited for departure time; the driver was very funny and kept us entertained while we waited to leave. I rode the redcoach bus once again on friday 10/28/11 from miami-tallahasee.Bus broke down no a/c but we made it to orlando. when we arrived the employees were kind, and had water and sodas ready for us. they even had vouchers ready for us v so we can get a credit for next trip at no charge . Ignored us after losing our childs bag! My family and I recently used Jetway Parking services located within The RED COACH facility in Orlando for parking and transport to Orlando International. Upon return, my six year old daughter left her backpack with various items including her favorite doll in the van used to transport us from the Airport. When my wife returned home and realized the backpack was missing, she contacted Red Coach. After a brief search, a female Red Coach representative confirmed the backpack WAS there (including describing the backpack's contents in detail), and stated that it would be secured until we could retrieve it. We contacted Red Coach again two days later (Monday) regarding coordinating potentially returning the bag via a prepaid FEDEX container we would supply. She was then was notified that the backpack could no longer be located. My wife became distraught because in addition to the contents my daughter was missing, it was a relatively expensive bag with a matching purse that was also in the bag. We have spoken to the Orlando Red Coach several times attempting to speak with the person that originally said the bag would be secured. The management refused to even give us the person's name. Our next effort was a detailed email to Red Coach Customer service who was conveniently in Orlando, we received no help. We have finally been forced to file a police report with Orange County Sheriff. The report has been approved and we are awaiting investigation. read more

I used this company for a round trip to Tallahassee to Miami for this Christmas break. Trying to order the tickets online was impossible because everytime you entered a simple date and location the site would glitch. After a good 10 minutes of fighting with the website I was able to reserve my seat. The next day I went to reserve seats for a friend of mine, and when I got the confirmation email it only gave me a one way ticket. So I went back online and tried again to purchase a returning ticket but it claimed that her seat was taken. This was incorrect because the bus was empty and I had just clicked on the empty seat a minute ago. So I decide to call online. After 20 minutes of waiting I got her returning trip but the ticket was more expensive and I got no confirmation email. The bus stop on the FSU campus is barely noticeable and would've never found it had a stranger not helped me. Walking towards the bus both of my bag straps broke simultaneously. (Serious series of unfortunate events). The bus driver who was in site saw this and has the audacity to yell at me when I threw my bags down in a pile of bags closest to me when I arrived. The trip was uncomfortable and lengthy but it's a bus. The footstool rolled up and chopped my $80 Mac charger, so I had to buy a new one. The worst part is that both and my friend missed our returning bus and they wouldn't refund us, or give us a rain check. In the end the bus cost me $80 for a charger, $40 on gas money I had to give to a friend to drive me back from Miami to tally, and the $100 worth of me and my friends returning tickets I lost. In the end a lot of the problems I incurred were merely chance but things that wouldn't have occurred had I just taken a plane or driven. If you can afford another method of transportation I would recommend it. read more

The worst company I have ever dealt with Where to begin... 1) They changed our route and departure time. Did they inform us? Nope 2) Luckily, I noticed the new schedule before our trip and contacted them to ask whether our bus time had changed. Did they respond? Nope 3) After emailing them again and posting on their facebook page they eventually responded. Over 2 weeks later. 4) On the day of travel, did their bus arrive at Orlando Airport? Nope. We had to jump in a taxi to get to their main garage. 5) Once we eventually got on a bus did the wifi work? Nope. From beginning to end this company was nothing but hassle. While I am one to read the negatives and give the company the benefit of the doubt at how the person just had "one bad experience" I would like to people know that this bus company has the reputation for exactly my experience-- as said by every work personnel I have inquired what the heck is happening I scheduled a ticket for 3:30 and was told to come 15 minutes early to Blue 2 and the Tampa Airport. Upon entering the waiting area I inquired where the bus will be loading-- I was laughed at and said this bus is known to be at least 15-20 minutes late regularly. It wasn't just 15-20 minutes late. When I started to get nervous around 4 I searched for someone to help me. There was absolutely no sign of any representative from the bus company at the terminal to inquire what was going on and not a single update via email for a rescheduled time.. I figured a few more minutes. Around 410 I called the company and was disconnected twice after waiting for 5-10 minutes. When I finally got through the woman informed me it was 5 minutes away-- which it was not -- and to just wait. At 440 the bus arrived and was trashed with Wendy's bags and no apologies for the extreme lateness. No mention of it at all. While I realize this was a personal experience overall it was just completely unprofessional.. I would give your money to some company who cares and deserves it. read more

Pleasantly Surprised! The seats were far more comfortable and spacious than those on the Megabus or Greyhound. The Wifi worked great, and I got to my destination on time. The driver was very friendly and informative. He was helpful with loading and unloading my luggage carefully. I was happy to find working outlets by my seat. I would like to start by saying thank you Red Coach!! This has been by far the worst service ever and I now understand why I have always and will continue to take Greyhound. Firstly, on December 22,2015 I booked my bus ticket, but for some reason (I don't know how) it booked for Tampa Fl, instead of Tallahassee Fl. Two minutes after I booked it, I called the customer service department to change it and they hit me with a $20 fee. That is a ridiculous fee to charge someone for such a simple mistake, but I took it for what it was and re booked. Today December 23, 2015 I arrive for my bus about 23 minutes early. I show up at gate 5 United like my ticket says. I wait and wait (5 min) and no bus. I ask one of the people who work at the airport where does the Red Coach bus pick up its passengers? They tell me I have to get on this tri rail and go to where all the other buses are (greyhound, megabus and others) on the opposite end of the airport. I think nothing of it and proceed to this other location. I arrive at this other location and ask another representative if I'm in the correct spot. They tell me no and that I must go to the other end of the airport at the other gate 5 in front of Delta not United. It is now 9:20am and I have finally arrived at the bus stop just to see it already gone!! This is the good part. I call because I have now missed my bus due to confusion with the area in which I was supposed to catch the bus. My ticket says 5 United and American. The bus stop was at 5 Delta (the complete opposite end of the airport). I call and tell you guys of my issue and of course nobody cares. All you want is money and could care less about the customers. You guys told me you cannot change my ticket to another day. You said you cannot look to see if any other person canceled and I could replace them on the bus. All you guys could say it 'YOU MUST BOOK AGAIN!!!" So not only did I loose $20 yesterday Dec. 22 for a minor mistake, but now I loose an entire $120.00 and have to book again. What the heck kind of service is that. I'll tell you, MONEY HUNGRY!! You guys cant transfer tickets!!!?? Even airlines do that, but y'all cannot. That is a complete and utter RIPOFF! I will NEVER take Red Coach again as long as I live. We waited 45 minutes at the airport to be picked up. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes to find out where transportation was I was told that we were either in the wrong spot or missed our pick up and that transportation was coming ever 15 minutes. When the driver arrived he told us he was the only driver and instead of every 15 minutes they were running closer to an hour. Please don't lie to your customers, honesty goes a long way. read more

They trick you with a higher "refundable" ticket price, but when you try to refund it, the scam kicks in. They lead you to believe that you can simply request the refund online. When in fact, it doesn't really go through and you don't find out until your bill arrives. Guess what? They are rude, uncaring and uncooperative. They don't care that the online system is flawed and will refuse to refund your money. I urge you to STAY far away from this company. If they had simply been a little courteous or understanding, I would have not been forced to write this review. For a mere $76 rip off, they are willing to endure the much-more costly anger of a disappointed customer determine to tell as many people about my experience as I can. Used this service many times in the past, but never again. They used to be good but lately they have been an absolute joke. Horrible customer service and incompetent people working in their call center. Their seats are more comfortable than other companies, but it doesn't even matter because the busses are old and smell like urine. WiFi is always out of order and good luck finding an outlet that works. The seats are dirty and full of garbage from the previous passengers. Employees and drivers are rude and unhelpful. This company is supposed to be a premium option for travelers who are looking for better service and comfort, but Redcoach is seriously lacking in these areas! This company does not value it's loyal customers and will nickel and dime at every opportunity. I don't recommend them. Save your money because it's not worth it at all. read more

Usually Red coach is on point but this last trip was horrible on the way there I arrived 2 minutes early to find my bus driver already pulling away before the scheduled departure time. On the way back my bus was delayed 2 hours and I only received a 25 minute notice. The worst experience EVER!!! Me and My boyfriend parked our truck at this red coach for 1 month on our way to California. Upon our return on the specified date we called red coach for their complimentary shuttle service and the man picked us up and took us to a different location than we parked. We went in and the woman at the desk told us they had moved locations and moved all the cars. We were very concerned because they did not tell us they were moving and we did not give them permission to move our truck. That was the least of our problems. They did NOT HAVE OUR TRUCK!!!!! they left it at the old location and the new owners of that lot had it towed!! Red coach had no solution for us and they didn't even know it had been towed. I had to figure out myself that the new owners would not just leave a truck on their lot and I called all the tow company's in the area and found the truck myself. when I asked about the cost of the tow the man told me they have had the truck for 3 weeks and it was a $1500 charge!!!!! Red coach did pay for this after me yelling at them for a few hours. It was a nightmare to say the least. I purchased round ticket for my daughter from Tallahassee to Orlando back in September. I paid more so the ticket be refundable and it also had shuttle service from terminal to the near by location. On the way from Tallahassee the bus did not have air conditioning and no Wi-Fi as it promised. It also broke down in the middle of the way near Gainesville. We had to pick her up from side of highway in the late hours of 1:30 in the morning. We also cancel the shuttle service for returning back to Tallahassee. I applied for refund and after about a month past, I am being asked to call back over and over and no definite answer yet. I am tired of phone calls and feel like they are playing games with me. Taken this bus a couple times and here is what i think: Pros: 1. nicest bus transportation option in florida that i know of 2. free food (mini water bottle, single serving chip bag, single serving gummy fruit snack- aka its not food, lol, moreso snacks.) 3. Comfy seats, lots of legroom, power outlet, free wifi Cons: 1. I think the driver gets paid by the house because they always drive slow and never get me on time to my locations, always 30 min to hour later (so if you need to be somewhere on time keep that in mind). 2. I don't think the bus stops/drop offs are all that safe/a bit sketchy Ex: FSU bus stop is in a parking lot -_- just a random empty parking lot, so if its raining, your gonna be waiting in the rain. And imagine when they drop you off at 10 pm at night and you have to wait for a taxi or a friend there......as a parent idk if i would be okay with that. Ex #2: Orlando downtown bus stop is at the main bus station: not a safe place for a young girl to be waiting on her own Ex #3: Miami airport stop is a random bench in the middle of the roads with a high chance of getting hit by a car. I think they should make real bus stop locations like their main orlando bus stop. Its safer and less sketchy. 3. Wifi is slow.....be nice if it was fast enough to watch movies in at least 480, I'm not asking 1080hp but 480 at least please. At least make it as fast as wifi on airplanes. 4. Some of the buses do smell so bring a plug in wall scent or a renuzit like i do. 5. A lot of time you pay for first class and the business class bus comes (the first class bus is a lot nicer ex: seat is 21 inches in first class and about 19 inches in business class roughly). And the price difference to.....not fair. 6. I hear their customer service could use some help.... Overall its a pretty good bus, a lot of my friends and I take it but it would be nice if they worked on the cons I mentioned. People do deserve to get what they expected/what they paid for from seats to getting somewhere at the time they promised when buying the tickets, safety concern with bus stops especially considering half their customers are women (and women are the ones that spread the word of mouth the most- reputation is everything). But idk if they will work on these things considering they don't really have any competition.......so why would they try to make themselves better if they don't have to? (business thinking lol) If you don't have a car, or can't drive because of DUI or something from college lol, then this is probably your best bet of transportation besides flying if you can afford it/want to pay a lot for a shorter travel time. read more

STAY AWAY from parking here. They offer airport parking and a shuttle to get to the airport for 3$ per person. Reaching there and drop-off to the airport was fine. But the real pain began when I called them for pickup from the airport. It took them an hour (I'm not exaggerating) to get to the airport for the pickup. I called them probably 10 times to speak to their agent, but was able to speak with her only twice. They just ignored all my calls, even though I was being nice after all the delay. I've rode redcoach buses quite a few times now between Gainesville and Fort Lauderdale. The only reason I choose redcoach is because they offer single seats and are one of the only bus services in town. Today I get on my bus to find it is a business class bus when I paid for first class. I have someone sitting next to me, when the only reason I chose this bus was to be alone and curl up and sleep. I have had other bad experiences with red coach in the past. Water dripping on me in my seat, bus broke down with no AC in the heat for an hour and a half and arrived hours late, a bus leaving 10 minutes early and I had to drive an hour catch up with it. The cost is SO expensive and the service is SO terrible. Good lucky getting any kind of refund if you have issues. If your experience goes smoothly, you got lucky, I have learned after multiple trips. I will never ride red coach again. I simply can't support a business that has HORRIBLE service. They may have a great product, but their sales interface is horrible. The online interface rarely works. As far as over the phone, forget it: it's not worth it to deal with the laziness and rudeness of their sales staff. Email confirming purchase was never sent. No one picks up on their phone line. Once someone finally answered, they said they could not give me the details of the trip, even though I had the confirmation number. Do not rely on this service! I just spent 3 hours waiting on RedCoach to pick up my co-worker who needed to catch an international flight from Orlando. RedCoach did not show up at the designated time 2:30 in Gainesville, FL and left 7 people waiting in a parking lot in 90+ degree weather. Only two people were able to reach a customer service representative. One was told the bus had already departed which was not true since we were there way ahead of schedule and there was no bus in sight. They second person was told that another coach would arrive by 4:30. It was 5 PM before one finally came. Several people left and I was considering other options to get her to the airport since we had no way of knowing if or when the bus would come. With today's technology, there should be a way for RedCoach to give feedback to passengers regarding delayed buses. They could benefit from learning how AAA can dispatch and keep awaiting drivers informed of estimated arrival times for emergency road side response and towing service. Unacceptable and each and every person waiting today should be returned their paid fee. read more

I am currently waiting to hear back from Frances, the manager, regarding several negative experiences I have had with them. They get two stars because she has previously taken measures to ensure that unpleasant experiences are corrected. However, while I'll spare you all the details, there is one bus driver, Ray, who sours my experience EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. At first I thought he must have just been having a bad day but after traveling with them several times I have come to realize that that is just his personality - nasty. Inevitably, either the outlets or the wifi WILL malfunction on nearly every trip and that is a huge inconvenience, especially when you are paying almost as much as a flight on roundtrip tickets from Tallahassee to Miami. The busses themselves are nice and the clientele, for the most part, is good so trips are pleasant, even when they are ten hours long. A huge plus, and the source of the third star, is that they are SUPER accommodating to individuals with disabilities. They have accessible busses that they can swap out when necessary and take all the measures necessary to call all other passengers to alert them to the change when this is the case. Lots of potential here, just one rude bus driver and technical issues preventing them from getting 5 stars from me. read more

My travel with RedCoach was an awful experience! The bathroom had a bad odor, from the sewer system not being maintained(The bus drivers in Tallahassee, sleep at a hotel with the bus, so they don't get cleaned each trip). The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed, which caused the entire bus to smell. Shortly into the trip,the air conditioning stopped cooling. The bus driver or company did nothing to solve the problem. The bus continued from Tallahassee to Orlando, with no air conditioning, which is a 5 hour trip. RedCoach did nothing for its passengers and refused to issue a partial refund or send another bus. None of the The customer service agents, speak good english, and are always in a rush to end the phone call. The seats might be larger and more roomier however; if the service isn't good. You may want to reconsider traveling with RedCoach a second time. Try MegaBus for your next journey. At least they stop every 2 hours, for the passengers to get food, and use a usable clean bathroom. This is the most CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY business I have encountered in a loooong time. They make it difficult for you to apply discounts that you qualify for (student, senior, military, etc.) by not showing you those fares when you access their quick purchase window. The information is hidden in a tab different from the sale tab and you need to make the purchase on the phone to apply the discount. When you call Customer Service they refuse to give you the discount once you purchased the ticket online and you can never get a hold of a supervisor! read more

There was a problem, so I called and was hung up on by one "service" rep, badgered by the second, then tried chat only to be disconnected, and spoke to Camille--it seemed that she worked out a "fix" to her credit. She asked me to hold, and she NEVER got back to me.The problem is eximlified in that I am waiting for Camille to call me back! She has my number...It is on her caller ID (she sent it to me) SMH. My experience when I took their bus was good. I was happy with their service. Bus driver was nice. The buses were really confortable and luxious but my only complain would be the bathroom inside the bus. it could have been better maintained and cleaner. when I arrived to Orlando terminal I was disappointed of finding out that they only have 1 restroom for like 15-20 people that just rode the bus with me. I had to wait like 10 minutes to use it. Those small things are the reason of me not rating better. if they fix the bathroom problems, I would rate them with solid 5 stars. I have rode Red Coach buses several times this year and it is soo much better than taking the Greyhound. The chairs are comfy, clean, and even have movies, which they hardly ever play. Had a bus scheduled to leave at 5:30 P.M. and went to the Orlando Terminal for pick-up. Unbeknownst to me, I was supposed to call and ask for a shuttle to pick me up from there. So I missed that bus. Luckily, there was a bus at midnight which I am now currently on after being on hold for OVER AN HOUR to reschedule my bus (and being hung up on four times in the midst of panicked phone calls). After receiving a confirmation that a shuttle would come and get me at 11:20 for arrival at the bus stop at 11:30 from Terminal Gate A34, I had to hail a cab at 11:45 when no shuttle showed up at the airport terminal. After spending money FOR THAT REDCOACH USA SHUTTLE, I had to shell out additional money (over $20) for a 7-minute ride in a cab to get to the bus station. When I got there and said my shuttle didn't show up, the lady told me I was supposed to call and confirm the arrival of the shuttle to pick me up; however, no one gave me any information as to who to call or that I would need to call someone--and their main number said office hours were closed. I am now finally on a bus and will arrive in Tallahassee much later than the expected 4:35 arrival time since we just left at 12:20 A.M. The good news? I can file a complaint and get my $20 taxi ride money back. Thanks, but no thanks RedCoach USA. IF YOU WANT TO USE REDCOACH, CLARIFY THAT YOU NEED TO BE PICKED UP, FROM WHERE, AND ALSO ASK FOR A NUMBER TO CALL TO CONFIRM YOUR SHUTTLE. OTHERWISE, JUST GO TO THE REDCOACH LOCATION AND WAIT THERE. +1 star for the change of bus at no additional cost. +1 star for the comfy seats Update: I have to say that my laptop was too heavy for the plastic lap tray (which looks much cooler and nicer in the pictures online)--the lap tray is put together by attaching it to the arm rests, therefore trapping you in to the seat (if you want to adjust/get up, you have to take your stuff off the lap tray, take out the lap tray, and then reset everything). Update: Was told that the shuttle does not come on the same day a shuttle ticket is purchased...so basically I was told today that the shuttle was not going to be coming to pick me up, even though I paid for it and waited at TerminalA34 (as requested by the company representative) for over an hour. Waited over 90 minutes for the bus at the terminal the FIRST time around, too. After this situation, I am going to take away 1 star. -4 stars for the lack of communication. read more

Buyer Beware! In route to school on a Sunday evening, my son's car broke down in Gainesville so I purchased a fully refundable ticket on Red Coach to Tallahassee. The bus didn't show leaving him stranded where the cab had dropped him off at a dark bus stop in a sketchy area of town. No customer service at night. The next morning I was told it would take 5 - 10 business days to credit back my charge to AmEx. Today, 4 weeks later and after filing a dispute that Red Coach has yet to respond to, AmEx removed the charge. Sounds like Red Coach is about to go out of business. read more

Taking the bus from West Palm Beach to Orlando and the bus driver NEVER stopped to pick us up! Customer service apologized and said they would have us on the next bus (3 hours later!) and refund the one way fare to Orlando. The refund never came and when contacting the sales agent about getting the refund we were told that we have to contact the main terminal in Orlando and the ONLY number in the entire company is (407) 851-2843. For the better part of five hours no one answers the phone and the recording says we are busy and call back later. No opportunity to even leave a message. The buses might be nice but dealing with the company is a nightmare. Good luck if you ever choose to use their services. Buyer be ware! read more

I haven't even taken the bus yet and I am writing a negative review. I booked on-line from West Palm Beach to Orlando. I have to go up there for work and am tired of driving. The "Chat" feature on the web site doesn't work - I wanted to get a rental car and wasn't sure how to book. No response. The pick-up location on the web site is unclear. I tried their get directions function as well on the web site. Did not work. I resorted to calling. The first call I spoke with a woman who could only read to me exactly what was on the website. Which was mile 94 turnpike. So - did that mean you had to actually get on the turnpike to catch the bus?? She said the service plaza - again I wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something. Did I actually have to get onto the turnpike? Her response was to tell me there was a picture on the website and to hang up on me. WOW. I messed around again on website and found some convoluted way to actually get directions. And yes, you have to get on the turnpike. I am not sure why they can't just have directions written up like most hotels do. What is the assumption? Everyone is coming from the turnpike no matter where they are coming from? Odd place to pick up. I did call back - the first call back no one picked up and after 5 minutes of music and a computerized illegible voice telling about specials, the call ended. Humm. So I blocked my number and called back again, this time call was answered. I got a man this time, he did basically the same as the woman I spoke to - read off of web site. He was a bit unclear - he said it's the service plaza, but was unsure you'd have to get on the turnpike. Well, as far as I know, that's the only way to get to the plazas. I would suggest they get clearer written directions on the website, and please - legible voices on recording and answering the phone! Will update as trip progresses. read more
