The food was pretty delicious . I had a seafood bag with crab, shrimp and eggs. The seasonings were excellent not too much. My better half ordered fried catfish and fries overall fresh and tasty. We both rated our meals a 4 out of 5. The customer service was outstanding 5 out of 5. Our waitress which I believe her name was Tina - was on top of her game very very focused on our table and came to check on us frequently. She took the time to bag my leftovers up and take a picture of us while we were dining. It was an excellent experience. The restaurant was pretty big and the ambience was cute 4 out of 5. Walking in, it took quite a bit for someone to seat us. They were pretty understaffed, I don't know if it's because it was a Monday or what but our server was nice. I just wish there were more staff because it was the same server for every table. At the table, I noticed the place was kept quite dark which I personally didn't like but it's fine. Ive had east coast crab cakes before and and these do not even come close or give me the impression of authentic crab cakes.. sooo don't get the crab cakes if you know what real crab cakes taste like. Posting this on behalf of my sister and the experience she had because it must be shared "If I could put zero stars I would. I had a situation where a drink was knocked over when trying to make room for the waiter so she could place the food on the table. The entire drink not only spilled but also soaked my friend's entire meal. The waiter stood there and instead of saying let me get this remade for you stood silent it was my friend who had to say is it possible for my food to get remade the waitress replied let me check with my manager. She comes back and says yeah that's fine we then ask is it possible for the drink to be remade as well considering she only got to take a sip and her entire drink was wasted. She wanted her drink to be apart of her meal and she intended to enjoy it alongside her food. The waitress said she needed to ask her manager. She comes back and says the manager said no we would have to charge you for a second one. Later on we ask to speak to the manager to understand the reasoning behind the drink not being remade and only the food. The manager says well there's no way to know how much she drank or how much really spilled. I proceed to say well there's a camera right behind us are you able to check them to confirm that her entire drink was IN FACT spilled. She then says well that camera wont reach that far so we can't check them. I say wow how convenient and state that I will not be paying for two drinks as my friend only drank one as the other one was spilled. She then says let me go talk to my owner. She comes back and says the owner said we have to charge for two because we don't know for sure if the original drink was full or not when it was spilled. I say can I speak to the owner. She says he's not here , I called him and he doesn't speak english. I said well that's not going to work because my friend did not drink two drinks. I then say is there a compromise we can make because something's got to give so I suggest taking 50% off the second drink even though she only had one but again I'm trying to compromise she says let me ask the owner. She comes back and says that's fine. Overall the back and forth and arguing with customers as a manager was very unprofessional. As a business you should work with the customer to fix the issue. This place gets tons of business so remaking one drink instead of charging us for two would not have hurt their business. The service was excellent, our server was attentive, really sweet and we didn't have to ask for anything. The restaurant appeared to be nice an clean and comfortable. It was very interesting to look around at the decor. Food wise , the crab fries were good , my crab boil was also good. The only downfall was my boyfriend's food. He got this fried seafood basket that was not fresh. He couldn't eat it. The calamari was rubber , the oysters where old . I felt bad because, my food was yum and all he had was the crab fries. My mother and I went to the Red Crab Friday April 4th at around 6pm. We expected a wait as it's a weekend night around dinner time, but what we did not expect was to wait almost an hour for anyone to come get our drink orders, an additional hour for our food, and being asked if we still needed plates and forks while I was asking for our check because the meal was over. Our server was either extremely busy or just incompetent, and the table behind us was commenting they were having a similar experience and had to stop other employees in the restaurant for help during their meal. As we were leaving I walked through the restaurant looking for a manager to speak with about the experience but was unable to find anyone so instead I'm leaving this review. A drink was spilled on my friend's food due to the waitress not taking the time to clear the table/make room for our food. My friends drink was spilled on her food and the waitress looked dumbfounded. We asked for both to be remade. The waitress had to speak to the manager who then said yes to the food and no to the drink. When I asked to speak with the manager, she claimed there was no way to verify how much of the drink was spilled, even though there was a camera nearby. After insisting she shouldn't be charged for two drinks when my friend only consumed one, the manager contacted the owner, who initially refused to adjust the bill. I suggested a compromise of 50% off the second drink, which was eventually accepted. However, the lengthy back-and-forth, lack of professionalism, and unwillingness to accommodate a reasonable request left me dissatisfied, and I decided I will not return despite having visited the restaurant many times before. read more

Fried cheese curds were okay- not bad, just the least fave of everything we ordered. What a horrible experience! Do not waste your time going here! I should have known when we walked in on a Sunday dinner time and the place was empty and I knew the food in service was going to be awful. Our waitress, Jessica , was not very good at all. She took our order and eventually brought the food. She asked me if She could bring anything else and I said yeah. The portions are tiny. I got the $39 weekend special and it was just a bag full of grease and a few bites of seafood. The lobster tail was tiny, probably two bites. The crab legs were not only very small but they were so soggy in all that grease that you couldn't break the shell to get to the inside. The only utensils they give you is a fork and a crab cracker which was so horrible because the crab legs were so small they didn't fit in the cracker anyway so it was useless. the shrimp were literally smothered in butter. by the time we left there I was covered in grease. The crab legs were super salty. I even let my husband try mine just to see if I was crazy and he said that he agreed they were way too salty but the rest of the seafood was bland and tasteless except for the grease. I was a greasy mess. The portions are so small! My very expensive $39 dinner came with a few crab legs, one tiny lobster tail, a few shrimp, a small chunk of greasy soggy corn and two small potatoes. I got a $39 dinner and left there hungry. My husband doesn't like asparagus so I ate his and it was undercooked. It was amazing how the waitress was very attentive to the table next to us. They were all speaking Spanish and laughing and giggling. She even took pictures for them while we waited for my husband's non-existent salad. I tried to complain to the waitress and she said do you want me to get the manager and I said yes and the manager never showed up and she came back with the check and I said we still haven't seen the manager yet and she said oh did you want to see the manager? I'll get them. Then she proceeded to tell me that it was normal for the food to be greasy if it's in butter. We paid our bill. We didn't leave a tip and we left. So I gave them a 1 start and that's because the customer service sucked and the food was bland. I had to walk up to the counter twice to find my server. She didn't ask how our food was didn't come back to see if we needed anything but had no problem popping up when it was time for us to get the check and leave. I had to ask her for water which should've been given to us she didn't ask us if we needed another drink either. Now to the food we first got calamari and it looked pretty but had no taste we had to add salt and pepper just to be able to eat it I had to get tarter sauce because of the lack of flavor.
